Do not buy a car from these crooks! My name is Patrick Finney and I would like to inform people to be aware of VanDevere Kia. They sold me a brand new optima and when I picked the car up My name is Patrick Finney and I would like to inform people to be aware of VanDevere Kia. They sold me a brand new optima and when I picked the car up they told me there was a chip in the paint. I was told this is no problem and they had me sign a "we owe" work order. What they did not explain is the work order expires after 30 days. I took my car In for the first oil change and asked to have the paint fixed and they said no problem. When I picked the car up you could see the paint they used didn't match and it was bubbled up higher than the surrounding paint. At this point they assured me they would repaint the bumper. I received a call from the sales manager telling me I was out of luck because I was past the 30 days and I should be happy they tried to touch it up. Then I was told to come pick up my car. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY AT VanDevere Kia!!!!!!!!!!! They are crooks selling scratched cars!!!!! More

My biggest concern was rust and Mitch assured me that they put a coating on the frame during production to keep the rust at bay. When I got home the black all scraped off - revealing a rusted frame. My second concern was that the truck had not been used for towing. Mitch again assured me that it never had a ball in the bed or trailer hitch. After taking out the bed liner, there was indeed a ball there. At the dealership Mitch said we had no worries because they had a 5 day return policy no questions asked. When I tried to return the truck the next day the manager told me I could only EXCHANGE for something on the lot, no returns. The word More

I asked specifically about an offer you had showing on your home page. there were no details to the offer. the online person said she would have a rep call me back. I then received a call from a Linda or Laura, I explained my situation and asked about the specifics of the advertisement. she couldn't give me a straight answer said she would have to have someone else call me back - Randy I think. So when I spoke to him I explained I have recently purchased a Kia, I was looking for one for my daughter. I explained we were in the market to make a decision within the next couple days. I then shared with him what we were looking at and what we had to put down and the monthly payment we were trying to stay within. He assured me, specifically with the show discount and the VanDevere special birthday that they could make me a deal. I clarified that if I was to take time off from my job, drive and hour to your location that I wanted to be certain we could do this deal. he assured me that would not be a problem and that they would be happy to see us. I took 1/2 day off from my job, drove 1 hr to your location, called in advance to make him aware I was on my way only to get there and be told I was going to meet the manager and then be told that instead of meeting with Randy I was now going to meet with YET another person. Patrick. At this point I was a bit upset, now I have to explain all over again what I was looking for, why I'm there, etc. where's the follow-through? What was even more priceless was the fact that you only had ONE salesman on the floor and as we started our discussion we were told that he could help us but he had other clients coming in about 30 minutes and wo More

Horrible I want to share my experience and disappointment with the dealer ship this week end and I hope I can get some help to rectify these is I want to share my experience and disappointment with the dealer ship this week end and I hope I can get some help to rectify these issue. I contacted your on line sales hostess Friday evening and they were polite and expedient. This conversation lasted maybe 20 minutes part of it was waiting for her to check inventory for available vehicles. One was your Kia Soul 2013 stock # GM8830 and the second Vehicle a mini Cooper Stock # GM877A both which I was told after 9pm on Friday evening 12/18/2015 were available, an appt was set for the next business day. I called at 9:11 on 12/19/2015 where a young woman by the name of Erin #330-761-3971 again confirmed both vehicles were on your lots available for purchase. I asked that she was absolutely sure, because I have been to 6-7 dealers over a period over the last 4 days and while in route the car I was going to test was just sold!! Then, a Gentleman got on the phone who was her manager and touted a 15 minute speech on your dedication and commitment to customer service. He assured me I have a VIP appointment and visit and your sales team was awaiting me to view and test these vehicles. Of course I asked to be called prior to the appt. if these vehicles were no longer available. Of Couse no one called so I set out for my appointment. The next part is very discouraging and frustrating is this an industry standard to get a customer to the lot, to find the vehicle your seeking is no longer available? so the sales team can get you to buy alternate inventory since you’re already there? Probably, after 6 out of seven I’m pretty sure so of course your sales department became #8 of my quest to seek a vehicle, I arrived at your dealership on West Market around 11:15 am. So from 9:11 am to about 11:15 am one of the vehicles I wanted to view and possibly purchase was gone. HMMM! I thought right hand not talking to the left hand not good but I will continue to view a car which was the KIA 2013 and the test drive was available after 30 minutes of searching for it on the lot. VIP yeah right! I am so discouraged and upset by this point I should have left but your sales person Matt Boskowitch assured me this situation was not the usual way you do business and apologized I test drove the 2013 KIA, It was clean and met the expectation of what I anticipated in buying a pre owed vehicle. It is now 12:07pm I’ve been at the dealer now for almost an hour and we haven’t even began to procure the sale, so I am pretty pissed and not buying the fact you got the other vehicle out the door before I got there! Really! Just confirms my bait and switch theory. Now this is where it gets even better, I decide okay I am going to get the Soul, what other decisions do I have the other vehicle is gone. I am now over an hour into the whole experience pissed because I can’t see the other vehicle and at this point I want to walk. Which, I wish I did! Matt comes back and says he has never seen this but the sales manager is going to knock some money of the Kia which he has never seen at your dealer ship and I am going to get out the door with the deal of the century, yeah right. All along keep in mind this is going to be a cash sale and I know this isn’t the ideal situation because you’re in bed with the creditors and things on paper with interest are in your favor, and that’s why the customer can get more in the land of make believe money. So now it takes another 2 hours to get this deal out the door! Really for a cash sale? So now at 1:18 I am being sent to the finance dept. at the Buick Garage? Anyhow 50 pieces of paper and a check, the whole time your team declares they’re getting the vehicle ready whatever it was used? and it was fine when I drove it, what more can you have to do? At 1:37 the vehicle is still nowhere in sight and I have completed my transaction, keep in mind the one I never got to see was gone in 15 minutes. Right? The sales man Matt now has to still go fill up the gas tank and the other person I am with also pays money to get the car filled. xxx! I now have possession of the vehicle it’s 2:08 I drive away happy, relieved and glad for my purchase and before I get off Market street the Tire pressure light comes on? So of course we went from 60 degrees to 20 degrees I figure cold pressure on the tires has changed not alarming buy the time I get home I am totally in crisis!! The back left tire has a Big nail in the middle of the back drivers side of the car?? Again could anything get worse. So I call and your service team which has went home at 1 and all I have to deal with is Matt and it is now 2:43pm we are now approaching the 4hr mark in the sale. Matt says he’ll call me back and give me the 411 on what to do. I also called NTB in my neighborhood because I can’t safely drive on a tire that is compromised. Waited for Matt to call back, I didn’t want to service the vehicle post purchase and interfere with the company’s what they will do policy.. Matt calls back and it is advise if I feel safer get the tire patched and we’ll deal with this Monday. 25 dollars no problem I can deal with that till Monday no problem. Well yes it is a problem!! Both rear tires have a hole in the same place? Weird the left front tire has a screw drilled into the tread. What’s the odds ? And the front right has a slow leak but has been over inflated!! This is serious!! The safety and integrity of the car is at risk without good tires? I am bringing the Car back on Monday I am, putting a hold on my cash payment and I hope we can reach an amicable solution then. All I wanted was a new car.. a new used car and I thought I was happy with this but this is not good. Totally disappointed and not settling!! More
New brakes at 12,517 miles? On September 4, 2015 I took my 2011 KIA Soul! in for an oil change and recall work. I was then approached by Chris and told that I needed new rotors On September 4, 2015 I took my 2011 KIA Soul! in for an oil change and recall work. I was then approached by Chris and told that I needed new rotors and brakes on the rear end due to grooves in the rotors......the same grooves viberation that I had be asking about since 6 months after I bought the car. Each time I brought this to the service department I was told it was "normal wear" and that it would even out as I drove it. The grooves and viberation as I pressed the breaks continued to get worse as time went on only to be told that this is "normal wear" So on 9/4/15 Chris tells me I need $600+ in brake work, when I told him about the number of times I had been in to the question the grooves and viberation when I used the brakes, he told me " the car is 5 years old and only has 12,517 miles on it, so the reason I have brake issues is because I never drive the car and the rotors got rusty and that caused the grooves and viberation". When I asked why this had not happened to the front brakes and he says "because the front breaks carry more weight and did not rust". It made no sense to me so I declined to have VanDever do the work. I took it to another repair service which showed me that both rear brake rortos are warpped and that is why the grooves and viberation were present since 6 months after I bought the car. By the way since the repairs have been made there are no groves or viberation. I attempted to take the rotors back to show Chris, but he is never "available" Oh yes the day I picked up the car in November 2010 it was paid for in full. $20,000+ in a chashers check! More
