Dealing with Valley Honda has been one of the worst experiences I have had when buying a vehicle. I bought a 2020 Honda pilot a little over a year ago (so a 3 year old suv) with under 30k miles on it a experiences I have had when buying a vehicle. I bought a 2020 Honda pilot a little over a year ago (so a 3 year old suv) with under 30k miles on it at the time. Not a brand new vehicle but certainly should be in excellent condition and should not have major problems. Unbeknownst to me the vehicle had “known Honda” issues with the sound system that became glaringly evident to me within 2 days of owning the vehicle. As a honda dealer and very widespread known problem you would think they would have recognized, known and fixed the issue before putting it on their lot. Instead they down played it to get past the 72 hours I had to return as a new buyer and let me be the one to incur the frustration and time of dealing with the issues. I learned, after countless trips to repair, mass amounts of time to their service department to fix, and research on my own of how widespread of an issue it was on my own. To make matters worse their sales team upsold me on a supposed bumper to bumper warranty (per their sales associate I would have nothing to worry about minus normal wear for the next 6 years) until of course I actually tried to use the warranty. I had the joy of water pouring in at my drivers side feet during a rain storm. I once again call their service department who instead of having me bring it in to look at the vehicle says “Here is a number of a 3rd party we don’t really do water issues if he won’t honor your warranty call us back and we will get you in.” I had the pleasure of calling the 3rd party who was astonished that I was given his cellphone number because he doesn’t directly deal with customers. He is an outsourced resource once a vehicle has been brought into the dealership. He had me take the vehicle to a different ,more reputable, Honda dealer in the area to be looked at, analyzed and subsequently fixed. To my surprise I was told the repair was going to cost me upwards of $500 to fix and wasn’t covered under my bumper to bumper warranty. I immediately called Valley honda, before I paid a dime, since it was their sales team who told me bumper to bumper with zero stipulations. After their service and sales manager both sang me shaggy’s it wasn’t me I was informed the only person who could potentially do anything was the dealership gm. He called me back a few hours later and after catching him up on the immense amount of issues from the door and the current mess ups left and right starting with the initial call to his service department his response …we definitely dropped the ball and things will need to be changed but there is nothing I am able to do…this is one of a handful of whoopses that happen throughout the year. Unfortunately, the only thing I can offer is for you to bring it back in and we will give you a great trade in. After all the deception, terrible quality, and atrocious customer service (and lack there of at times) let me head right on over and buy my next vehicle from you.🙄 Absolute joke. Buyer beware Valley Honda just wants the sale. Truth and customer service are optional as long as their pockets get padded. More
Valley Honda is a great dealership, but I specifically want to highlight Jeff Katchen, their Floor Manager, in this review. I purchased a pre-owned Ridgeline from Jeff and the experience could not have been better from a customer perspective. I oftentimes find when purchasing a vehicle that I know more about the particular model than the salesperson just from doing a little research on my own beforehand. That was not the case at all with Jeff. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable about the vehicle, but he took the time to explain every feature and what the vehicle would be like to live with. He even went back inside in the rain to grab a tape measure so I could make sure our car seat would fit in the back. The purchase process was smooth, reasonable, and very low pressure. A few months later, I had a small problem with the vehicle and gave Jeff a call to see if he could help. Jeff immediately got the proper parties involved to help with what was an atypical situation that my local dealer would not touch. A lot of sales professionals would never put that kind of selfless time in for a customer once the sale is made. I live about an hour away from the dealership, but because of this experience, when our family is in the market for a new vehicle, the first place I am going to look is Valley Honda. Thanks Jeff for all that you do for your customers! More

Planned to trade in my old CRV and get another new one. Not sure if it’s because of me being Asian, Dealer came and asked me for my “working visa and citizenship” (was confused at first) when clearly my driver license (real ID) already proved it. When I left the dealer (never purchasing from Valley Honda not giving them any business). Kelsey came out and talk to me about a red flag that popped up with my SSN (they put an incorrect SSN) instead of assuming people aren’t citizens, first ask if they have wrote the number wrong. More

The covid-19 protocol was very warming as everyone had masks on and it seemed other people were very comfortable as well. I will be back in 3 years for my next Honda. More
My family recently purchased a new Honda Pilot. Jeff showed us new and used models and when we saw the black wheels on one of them we were sold. After going through all the normal processes at a car dea showed us new and used models and when we saw the black wheels on one of them we were sold. After going through all the normal processes at a car dealership, we were finished and driving away in under 2 hours. Andrea explained all of the numbers in and information about the pilot on a pretty great computerized touch screen. Jeff then sat in the vehicle with us and explained everything before we left. My sister just went there and bought a used civic and she is also thrilled. More
My family has been buying cars at Valley Honda and Valley Buick for a long time. The service and sales people really know how to take care of people. I met Jeff Katchen 7 years ago when my neighbor bought Buick for a long time. The service and sales people really know how to take care of people. I met Jeff Katchen 7 years ago when my neighbor bought her Honda civic from him. He knows a lot about the hondas and always makes me relaxed and not nervous when I come in. I just bought a HRV which I did not know about until I walked in this time and he made sure that I was comfortable sitting and driving in it before I was ready to do anything else. I met this sweet adorable lady Edie and we spent more time talking about everything else I felt I was at home talking to one of my friends. As always I am happy at Valley and I like my new car. More
I just wanted to take a moment to thank John Frantangelo and Mike Black for the time and care they took in helping my niece buy her first vehicle. They took time to explain everything and treated us both with integrity and respect. At no time did my niece or myself feel pressured or uncomfortable. John and Mike are a rare find in this industry bringing that combination of years of knowledge and customer service together to provide an enjoyable experience. I sincerely appreciated all the care and attention they took. They are a true asset to the Valley Honda team! More
Was in for yearly inspection this past September and was told that my Honda CRV needed a new right tie rod to pass inspection ( cost > 500.00 ) and would eventually need a new steering system ( cost 1200.00 told that my Honda CRV needed a new right tie rod to pass inspection ( cost > 500.00 ) and would eventually need a new steering system ( cost 1200.00) . I asked them to check the rear windshield wiper that wasn't working and was told the car needed a new motor that would cost 500.00. I decided to not have anything done and instead had a local mechanic check it. The vehicle passed inspection and mechanic told me he could see nothing wrong with the CRV. Also, the windshield wiper needed a NEW FUSE which cost 4 DOLLARS - nothing wrong with the motor! Thieves! Inspections are free there when you purchase a vehicle, but at what cost? More
SOLD ME A FAULTY VEHICLE AND WON'T FIX IT! Two days after buying my new 2019 CR-V, I discovered the Bluetooth didn't work properly. Dropping calls, glitching when playing Pandora and then shutting down the entire console screen. I've been back 5 times within one month. Their conclusion is the problem is my iPhone 11. The same iPhone 11 that has worked perfectly on two other 2019 Honda CR-Vs (one tested on their lot, witnessed by their sales team). Despite my car being brand new, 500 miles, under warranty, they say there's nothing else they can do. I'm willing to bet $30K they don't tell the next customer with an iPhone 11 about this problem when purchasing their new car. I'd bet the $30K, if I hadn't just spent it on a brand new faulty car from Valley Honda. Not even a speck of stardust for this place. When I purchased the car, they bribed me into posting a 5 star review to get a better price. Take that into consideration when reading the "5 star reviews." More
