Only Deal in Town While it's nice that the dealer moved much closer to my sphere of influence, being the only Subaru dealership within 100 miles make for limited opport While it's nice that the dealer moved much closer to my sphere of influence, being the only Subaru dealership within 100 miles make for limited opportunity to haggle over price or features or repair costs. Due to ware and tear on an older model and the potential repair costs we went for a new or used 2015 model but found we had no wiggle room for negotiations and the trade-in value for the older model fluctuated with the price of one car option versus another. That was a surprise unless this is the new era of 'let's pretend your trade-in has any value at all'. I suspect the "value" was really based on the room the salesperson had to concede up front on the price of the purchase. Given the higher expense quoted for repairs through the dealer versus independent repair shops, it is quite possible we could have waited a few more years to trade in the old one. They really are good cars and it is a shame the reviewers continue to downplay their worth. The eyesight feature is outstanding! More
