I wanted to test drive the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid and potentially a Lexus NX. While looking for the hybrid, Hansel asked if I wanted to look at the RAV4 Adventure since it had more offroading capabilities and the sportier body build that I really wanted. His recommendation introduced me to a car I hadn't even thought of and I was beyond happy with the vehicle. He was able to also assist me in securing great financing AND got back to me in regards to a few lingering questions I had. I really appreciated his honesty and thoughtfulness, as well as the timely manner in which he operated. Everyone at the dealership has truly been delightful. Quick and helpful I went in to get the aux battery replaced on my Prius. Parts were in stock and I got an appt the day I called. Done in 2 hrs. While there, I picke I went in to get the aux battery replaced on my Prius. Parts were in stock and I got an appt the day I called. Done in 2 hrs. While there, I picked up a new tiny blade for the rear wiper and struggled to install it. One of the service associates came over, put on gloves and after a 10 min battle got the wiper blade installed while I waited. I would either have broken it or needed a few hours. Can't say enough good things about how nice they were to help out for free. More

They said it could be patched, and said it would take 1-1.5 hours, and offered car service. I decided to wait, and have breakfast at Pine State Biscuits. They called me in about 40 mins to say it was done! That was all without an appointment too. More

So much so, I’m considering going somewhere else for routine maintenance and oil changes. I had scheduled a 2pm oil change and 95,000 maintenance service (because a service card reminder was sent to my house & my mileage was over my oil change sticker). Even with having an appointment, walk-ins were accepted before me. When I was told that my appointment would take 90-minutes, my appointment wasn’t complete until 3.5 hours later. My oil wasn’t changed even though I requested it to be done. I wasn’t notified about this until check out. It took over 3.5 hours to rotate my tires. I left feeling deeply offended that my time was taken for granted. I feel that Ian was a fantastic service advisor. Yet, I feel like Ian was clearly trying his best & was overworked. It was painful to see Ian do his best to quickly help everyone while I saw 10 other Toyota workers just standing/sitting around. Seems like a management problem to me. If anyone could have communicated these things to me (not changing my oil, time taking longer than predicted), I could have adjusted my day appropriately. I’m so upset. My hope by leaving this review that this is a wake up call that Toyota of Portland needs to take people’s time more seriously & be more open to communicating with their clients about timelines. And to not send mixed messages about needing to get service/oil change then not doing it when I’m there. (I wrote this review twice to Toyota of Portland to see if they can somehow make this wrong a right before posting on social media... no reply.) This was such a horribly offensive experience. More
