BUYER BEWARE...management very unprofessional in dealing with misunderstanding regarding lease termination. Very friendly when in the "selling" mode, but very unprofessional after sale is finalized. The price was fair, I got what I needed for my trade-in and everything went very smoothly. Got the truck that I wanted as well. Overall, it was relatively easy to purchase a new vehicle because things were and everything went very smoothly. Got the truck that I wanted as well. If purchasing another Toyota in the future, I would return if in the area and would recommend the dealer to others for their Toyota purchase. More
Not long ago, I brought in my Tundra for service and a Road Force balance. On checking out, I was told that 2 of my 4 tires wouldn't balance correctly, despite paying more than $90 for that component of t Road Force balance. I was displeased, to say the least, and wrote about my experience through DealerRater. That evening, I was contacted by the general manager, Mark Genereux, who claimed that he wanted to ameliorate my feelings. By doing so, he only made things worse as the conversation soon spiraled downhill. I found him to be rude, arrogant, and contentious. The first rule of customer satisfaction is "Don't tick off the customer," so in that, he failed horribly. At issue was the balance job. My Tundra drove worse than before I had brought it in. Genereux claimed that the tech told him, "my tires were old and wore out [sic]." I bounced down the road for a few days considering that possibility. I shopped around for new tires at several places. All of them told me that I don't need new tires, and, in fact, they look quite good. As it turns out, there was only a bit of tread wear, and they were certainly not "wore out." I went back to one of these places for a standard balance and... guess what?... the truck is driving very smoothly now, on tires that will likely last another 25-30K miles. When I combine my recent service experience with earlier horrid experiences with sales at Toyota of New Bern, I cannot recommend them at all. In fact, I think it's the rudest, most incompetent car dealership I've ever encountered. I'll go back to what I had been doing for years: Driving to Kinston to a dealership that respects its customers. How ToNB stays in business is beyond me. More
We were very impresed with Paul Stokes with his thoroughness in regard to assisting us in describing the features, differences, and capabilities of the various Corolla models. We feel that we got a thoroughness in regard to assisting us in describing the features, differences, and capabilities of the various Corolla models. We feel that we got a fair price for our Camry trade-in and were especially pleased with the final negotiated price of our beautiful new gold Corolla LE. As a result, we cancelled our plans to also go to the Toyota dealership in Greenville, and made the purchase at Toyota of New Bern, NC Thanks to Paul Stokes and the dealership staff. I would like to express my total disgust with this form. I have done it four times and it won't accept. I have no intention of puting my name, etc. in any social media. More

My wife had purchased a 2012 Forester from Bruce Smith and it was a great experience in and out the door. So when I decided to replace my truck I called Bruce.(I got his contact information from a birthda and it was a great experience in and out the door. So when I decided to replace my truck I called Bruce.(I got his contact information from a birthday card Bruce recently sent my wife.) I asked for an out the door price which he gave and it was very fair. I wanted a specific color which was being delivered to the Greenville store and I asked if it was possible to trade one of New Bern's incoming Foresters for the color I requested.Bruce said he could and that the car would be in Friday.He called on Thursday to let me know the car would be in later that afternoon. I picked it up. The paperwork was done in a timely fashion with no hassle at all.I was given a tour of the facility and Bruce walked me through the Forester's set up. This was much appreciated. All in all both purchases were painless and I will highly recommend Subaru of New Bern and especially Bruce. More
