I was in the market for a new car Suv Rav4 from a dealership. With many car brands around the area, i chosed toyota they are all sturdy and reliable. Franklin showed me all the new cars he answered all my questions and before I was ready to make a purchase. He explained to me in detail how financing a car works and the difference between financing and leasing. He made sure I knew what I was getting myself into and he even helped me get a good deal on car insurance. I requested a the color of the car which was not in stock (Summersite Blue) and he made a call and with a 30 min's the car was at the dealership I recommend Toyota of Manhattan and if you would like to speak with someone about cars, you should speak with Franklin Beco. He made an honest mistake on a spec with the car I was purchasing. He came to me before I finalized everything and apologized for his mistake, corrected it and made sure I compensated me for mistake. Doing business with Toyota of Manhattan was the worst experience in 30 years of purchasing/leasing cars. Everything they say they were going to do they did not. They made promises they did not keep and experience in 30 years of purchasing/leasing cars. Everything they say they were going to do they did not. They made promises they did not keep and every time they tried to compensate they made it worse. So much so, they offered to pay my first month payment which took them 6 weeks to do. The service department attempted to sell me services I did not need. Every 6 month service appointment, they claimed I needed a new cabin air filter. The last time they tried to sell me industrial engine cleaning because of possible rat drippings on my engine. I had the car for 2 years with only 20,000 miles. More

Still waiting on my refund from my $500.00 they assured me that I'd get back after my title and licensing fee, which wasn't over $75.00. Vehicle was dirty, dog hair everywhere! I left work early to pick up my car because i wanted to see it in the daylight, They knew I was coming, they kept me waiting about 1.5 hrs until it was completely dark and double park so i could not see the car at all. They told me that they cleaned it but the dust on my fingers said otherwise. The young guy I thought I was helping out by working with him could barely show me anything on the car. He was done. I had to call numerous times, left messages, spoke to 4 different people at least 7 calls? to get the instructions for the remote starter. They called to tell me there was a problem with my registration and to give them the some #s from the registration, I said sure as soon as they sent me the instructions for the remote starter. They never did tell me what the problem was.until March 27, 2013, months after buying the car. They gave me the wrong plates, got them switched back on 3/29/13 but today I get a ticket in the mail for going through a red light on 3/9/13 for the plates i just received on 3/29/13. $80.00. The floor carpets are also deteriorating at an extremely rapid rate. This is my 3 corolla, 4th toyota. Never will i go to this dealer again obviously, I did not review earlier because i just wanted to distance myself from this experience. But then i got the ticket and I will need to spend time dealing with that. Toyota Manhattan - an example of what not to do. This is an extremely brief summary of the extreme frustration i have experienced with this dealership. More
