Hi Nichelle, I am sorry to hear about the ongoing issue with getting your name corrected in our system. I have personally corrected the problem in the two databases we use, and you should not have any more difficulties. We are unsure where the ball of gunk came from, but it's possible it came from behind the panel when removed, and the technician didn't notice it. When performing recalls that require us to remove dash panels, our technicians only move personal items when they interfere with the repair being performed. Our technicians have been trained never to throw anything away or remove anything from inside the vehicle. I apologize for the delay in getting back to you.
