I went to town east ford in order to purchase a used ranger they had posted on Craigslist that day and was still on there website. I called and talked to a rep who said the vehicle was there. When i arrived at the dealership i was told the guy i talked to originally was not there even though he told me he would be. i then talked to James Smith who explained to me there was a 'mistake' and that the ranger i wanted was sold days before. Needless to say me and my wife was upset and we intended to leave however Mr. Smith was able to get me into a brand new ford ranger with only 9 miles for a fair price and a good interest rate which surprised me being how i have very poor credit. so overall even though i felt i was lied to and betrayed in the beginning by the first rep the second rep resolved the situation as best he could. I am very happy with my purchase and will consider the dealership in the future. More
Pre-approved for credit online. Internet sales manager said I was pre-approved. Salesman said I was pre-approved. At the dealership for 2 days, submitted formal credit app., was never shown any written said I was pre-approved. Salesman said I was pre-approved. At the dealership for 2 days, submitted formal credit app., was never shown any written offer, sat in the sales office for an hour and a half with no one checking in with me, when they finally put numbers onto paper, they wanted $25k for the vehicle that was priced at $21k on their website. When I pointed this out I was told this was a cash-only price (however I called internet mgr and anonymously asked if the internet price was cash-only or if it could be financed and was told it could be financed), when I countered with $19k the salesman told me that was a joke and that they obviously couldnt help me, handed me my keys and showed me the door. And by the way, this was our THIRD salesman because the first two disappeared on us. Also, the first day I had my vehicle appraised and they never told me a figure, just said it would be a "wash" meaning they were giving me what I owed on it. Second day, they appraised it again at $4500 LESS. These people are definitely NOT in the businesss of selling cars, as I was practically throwing money at them and couldnt get anyone to sell me a car! More

I've bought several vehicles from this dealer but on 12/12/09 they had stock number C5336 listed in the Dallas News for $12.9k. I arrived just after the dealer opened and they could not find the vehicle but stated they could give a similar $2700 discount. They offered another more expensive msrp vehicle with just over a $600 discount with the typical story of very little profit at that point (vehicle had an msrp of ~ $20k). I've bought one of these same models in 12/08 and knew better. Salesman wouldn't budge, I went to another dealer and received a $2992 discount. So not only do they not have the teaser ad vehicle at opening time on 1st day of the sale, they don't care the ad is a flat out lie! The salesman didn't seem to care and shrugged his shoulders. I've bought a lot of Fords but this is the first time I've been to one of my "good" dealerships and was given a story plus an attitude they didn't care. More

My mother and I came in yesterday to look at trading in my vehicle for a Mustang. I asked him what they would give me for my 08 Jeep and he said probably between $12,000-15,000 so I said ok. Well they did the appraisal and he came back and when I asked how much it appraised for he said $11,500. I said, What happend to between 12-15,000? HE YELLED at me saying "I AM NOT a APPRAISAL GUY SO HOW SHOULD I KNOW!" My mom looked at me in shock.. and I knew this guy had some issues. So, he went on saying Im upside down in the Jeep $6,000 dollars and my payments would go up $200 per month if I traded it in. So, we decided to wait and I will pay down the Jeep more. Well this guy got up and said you got your keys have a good day (very rudely) and just walked off. As we were walking out the door he said something to another employee raising his hands and they turned and stared giving ugly hateful looks. This is the first time I or my mother had ever been to Town East Ford and never ever will we return to this place. It was un called for the way this man treated us and I feel something should be done. The only thing I can do is this and tell people beware of this man he has a very short fuse and if cant get financed or just change your mind about getting a car while your here he may jump down your throat or be mean to you like he did me and my mother. Divulged 9.99 per cent finance rate only after I demanded it be disclosed and they declare there is a $500.00 rebate for using Ford Motor Credit and that would easily offset the difference of a 5.25 auto loa it be disclosed and they declare there is a $500.00 rebate for using Ford Motor Credit and that would easily offset the difference of a 5.25 auto loans which was available due to excellent credit rating, which of course goes to the dealer which is deducted from the total sales price which can not be proved or disproved as they refuse to divulge a total sale price declaring it depends on financing. Not having a calculator with me (will never happen again) and the rapid process I was taken through at time of signing and such. Was sold as truck that had been previously sold by another dealer and when the deal fell through was returned with 1500 miles on it. Declared the warranty would be extended to offset the mileage already on vehicle, which Ford has refused to do. I will never buy another Ford product due to a company the size of Ford Motor Company allowing a dealer to do business in this manner and not have any oversight of their operations declaring they just furnish vehicles, they don't control sales. Refuse to return to this dealer for warranty or routine service, will find another dealer. More
Horrible experience. Found a car on the internet. Had an appt to see the car. The guy I had made the appt with wasn’t available. After deciding to buy the vehicle I could not get a price of the vehicle fr appt to see the car. The guy I had made the appt with wasn’t available. After deciding to buy the vehicle I could not get a price of the vehicle from the finance people. They kept quoting me a monthly payment but would not let me see the numbers. I was finally told I could have the price advertised on the internet BUT my finance rate would be 18%. I'm not stupid, I walked. Still, adding the price of the vehicle, 18% finance rate, plus tax, title, lic and an additional $1,000, I still couldn't come up with their payment. Shady all the way around. I definitely will not recommend to my friends and family. An $11,995 car was going to cost me $22,000 over the term. More
