Throughout the 5 years I had it, The five stars received by this dealership is all thanks to Gary Hu. I had a horrible experience with my VW Routan. Throughout the 5 years I had it, there was a myriad of problems, and through it all, there was Gary, providing the best customer service possible. With all the problems I was having with the van, I had him on "speed dial". It became a joke as I was constantly on the phone with him. Understanding my frustration, Gary went out of his way to make a "trying experience" pleasant. He made sure I knew the status of my car, found me loaners, helped me find a reasonable towing company when I needed to have my car towed into the dealership, TWICE, he even went so far as to take my van in to the dealership and deliver it back to Kaimuki when my schedule did not allow me to drive all the way to Waipio. While he and his crew attempted to "fix" my van, the last straw was a radiator that needed to be replaced not even a week after servicing due to a problem with the cooling system. I must have spent at the the very least, about $5,000 trying to "fix" my new van. Understanding my frustration with my van, Gary allowed me to "sell" the van back to the dealership. I told him I could not in "good conscience" sell it and the problems I had with it to someone else. I then used the money to purchase a new Honda Accord, from Tony Honda which I LOVE! On a side note, my first car was a Honda Civic Hatchback which I bought back in 1985. I used to get it serviced at Tony Honda Pearlridge where the customer service was incredible! I have since owned Toyotas and a Volkswagen but I think I have been happiest with Honda. My return is all thanks to Gary Hu. I could have gone elsewhere, but chose to stay with the Tony Group thanks to Gary and his impeccable attention to customer service. More
