The whole process was going acceptably well until a line item of $3689.00 was added to the sale for something called "Vehicle Service Contract". Overpaid for vehicle. by nearly $2,500.00. I expected better pricing since paying cash and this was my second purchase here. I have three more vehicles to purchase but by nearly $2,500.00. I had an engine light on, a warning on the display, and a BlueLink email that I needed to get the engine checked. The earliest my usual dealer could squeeze me in was almost a month out. I called Tonkin, a BlueLink email that I needed to get the engine checked. The earliest my usual dealer could squeeze me in was almost a month out. I called Tonkin, and the woman said, "Bring it by tomorrow." I said, do I need an appointment confirmation or anything? She said, "You don't need an appointment. Your engine light is on. That's an emergency. Just bring the car in, and they'll squeeze you in." Now, THAT's the correct response. I took the car in, and everyone was very nice, knowledgeable, and laid back. In less than two hours, I got a call that the car was ready. That's the kind of service I want. Needless to say, I will be switching dealers. More
