We loved out experience at Subaru in Puyallup. We were greeted by George Mayfield and he was awesome. We had a price range that we wanted to stay in for the monthly payment. He did not try to oversell us. greeted by George Mayfield and he was awesome. We had a price range that we wanted to stay in for the monthly payment. He did not try to oversell us. We were actually able to buy a 2011 Outback for less than a 2010 Forrester. Doing the paperwork was quick and easy. George kept us laughing the whole time, never a dull moment! The car is beautiful, excellent craftmanship, and fun to drive! Really love the fact that Subaru has a zero emissions plant and we bought a partical emission Outback. Anything to be a little "greener". More
Mark was great in the fact that he actually listened to me and noted what it was that I was looking to buy. He gently guided me in my search for a new Subaru by helping me find just those things that I wa me and noted what it was that I was looking to buy. He gently guided me in my search for a new Subaru by helping me find just those things that I was looking for and not the car he wanted to sell me. He did such a nice job that he actually sold me a brand new car that I did not expect to see for 2 to 3 weeks after I paid for it. I was even more impressed when to my surprise my new car showed up 2 weeks earlier than expected. Thanks for all of your help! More
Rick treated us with respect, which is rare. He was upfront, honest and very easy to deal with. We have been dealing with another dealer for the last several years, but was unable to strike a deal with them this time. I believe that ended our relationship with them. We will travel the extra 50 miles to do business with Rick again. More
We were at another Subaru dealer closer to home but left because they were sleazy. So we drove from Renton to Puyallup, because this Subaru dealer was highly recommended by coworkers. We were either going t because they were sleazy. So we drove from Renton to Puyallup, because this Subaru dealer was highly recommended by coworkers. We were either going to buy a Subaru or Mazda, which was across the driveway from Subaru. We previously purchased a top of the line Mazda a few months before, and were extremely pleased with the price, quality, and level of service we received from them. But we were also very interested in Subarus because of the top safety ratings, quality of product our friends raved about, the PZE and AWD features and the fuel efficiency -the last few which are lacking in Mazdas. So we gave Subaru one more shot. As a side note, had I known about the Subaru line when we looked at Mazda, I might have a 2011 Outback instead of a CX9. The Subaru salesman seemed a bit distracted, but it was almost closing time. We still felt more comfortable and got the car we wanted with no stress. The biggest issue for me is price haggling and financing. We once spent 10 hours at a Kia dealer in Renton haggling with them. Ever since then we decided - no more Kias and no more haggling. When we went to Mazda, we were in and out driving the car home in two hours. It was the same stress-free experience at Puyallup Subaru. Don took us for a test drive, and while the car price was above the budget I had set, within 10 minutes of sitting at his desk, he came back with a price lower than I expected. We agreed, signed and Don sent the car to be detailed - just like that! We were in and out, driving home within a couple hours. We are very happy with our purchase and It has held up to it's safety and quality reputation. Some reviewers question the design of the lights on the Subaru, but I'll tell you the design of the tail lights is why we insisted on a 2010 or newer model. It was a great experience, and like my coworkers, I'll be recommending Subarus and the Puyallup dealership. We also live in a new community with many young families looking for safe, reliable cars, and they have been admiring our Subaru. We will be recommending this dealer to our neighbors, and will advise against the dealer in Renton. There are a lot of dealerships and a lot of car brands. For us, the car and the experience is what sets them apart. The experience at Puyallup Subaru kept us from walking 25 feet to the Mazda dealer. Good job to Don, the finance team, and the manager. We will be coming back when it's time to buy our next car (Because I just love the new Outback design!) More
We went to the dealership to buy a new car and replace two of our vehicles. I already researched the Outback for the past two years so I already knew that is what we wanted. We met Don right after arrivin two of our vehicles. I already researched the Outback for the past two years so I already knew that is what we wanted. We met Don right after arriving at the dealership. He was very helpful explaining all the features on the Outback. We were offered above the trade-in value (on KBB and two other sites) on both of our trade ins. Also we closed at paying way below the sticker price. The dealership did not have a new Outback in the colors (sky blue w/ black interior) we wanted but the car was on the train and would be in soon. I continued to drive my trade in car for a week then was called by Don to come drop off the trade in and take a loaner car until our Outback comes in. As soon as the Outback came in Don called to let us know that our car was in. He also went over all the features of the car with us again before we drove it off the lot. We love the Outback it was well worth the wait! More
At first I was pleased when I called to schedule service for my Forester. I dropped off car as scheduled and waited for an entire day, waiting for a call to confirm needed repairs on my car (90k service an for my Forester. I dropped off car as scheduled and waited for an entire day, waiting for a call to confirm needed repairs on my car (90k service and replacement of right hand mirror). I was given a grtd. pick up time of 4 p.m. At 3:30 p.m. I had to call the service dept. to find out the status of my car. I was told that it was in the wash bay and would now be ready by 4:30 p.m. and was told that the mirror repair would be reviewed when I arrived, not a good sign. Esp. since I was clear when scheduling the service that I wanted to have the mirror repaired, not "reviewed" when I arrived to pick up the car. When I arrived at Subaru of Puyallup, I was greeted with 1- no car 2- no paperwork 3- no service person that seemed to know where the car was or where the paperwork was 4- was sent to a cashier that didn't have any idea what was happening with my car 5- then greeted by a service person that "reviewed" my mirror problem and explained that I would need to re-schedule another visit to get this repair done 6- I had to ask if the recall work had been done on my car (which the person scheduling the work assured me that it would be done) 7- was informed that "no one" had made any notes regarding "recall" work that needed to be done (oddly on the paperwork that I finally received, it indicated that part of the service done that day was to "update service records for recall protection" 8- When I asked to speak to service manager, was told they were out of the office until monday 9- when I asked to speak to their supervisor, I was taken to person that was not their supervisor and was told so in a less than professional manner that included me being yelled at as I walked away to return to the service department where they were still trying to finalize my "paperwork" 10- when I asked the person that took me to this supposed supervisor why they had taken me to this person knowing that this person was not the service managers boss, they told me again that this person was the only one I could talk to, clearly not the case 11- was told that I would need to "pre pay for mirror repair 12- the parts for the mirror would not be there until Tues. of the following week 13- arrived home with paperwork and looked to see that there was at least two items that required immediate attention and had to call back to service department to find out what it was that I needed to do to resolve these issues This is why I am rating this service department and dealership the way that I am More
I was looking online to buy a specific honda. I found one at Subaru of Puyallup. When my sister and I went to check on the car, there were customers already looking at it. We went inside to see if we could look at it and to see if there was any other hondas for sale. Dave was very friendly and let us test drive the car. When we came back to talk about the price, they offered us less than retail value and even gave me a bigger trade in value for my current car than others dealers offered. Dave then introduced me to Erin, the service advisor, and he informed me on what they will be doing for detailing and servicing my new car. Overall I had an excellent pressure-free experience and would HIGHLY recommend them. More

Guess what, they had the car in inventory and I got the price! Other dealers in my experiences have not been forthcoming in either category or have employed hard sell tactics before providing the info. Shelly set me up with Mark Clark for a test drive and more information on the car because I was looking at competative AWD and 4WD autos and small SUVs. Let me summarize: I never felt like I was being pressured, the price I received was what I was hoping for after consulting Edmunds.com and ConsumerReports.com, the people were informative and personable. If you're looking to buy a Subaru I would highly recommend giving these people a shot. I bought one! More
I purchased a new Outback from this dealership using the Costco car buying service. After filling out the online form ( Costco.com) I was referred to Subaru of Puyallup by Costco. Shelley, from S of P, cont Costco car buying service. After filling out the online form ( Costco.com) I was referred to Subaru of Puyallup by Costco. Shelley, from S of P, contacted me and helped me narrow down my search. She set up a couple test drives with Dave Warmack, and from then on I worked with Dave. He was great! Plenty of great info, not pushy at all, very knowledgable, and exceptionally helpful. After the test drives, I decided on what I wanted, but S of P didn't have it in stock. No problem.....they found what I wanted at another dealer, and were able to have to car ready the very next morning! Overall, very satisfied. More
I would have rated this Subaru of Puyallup alot sooner, but I was enjoying my new 2011 Ruby Red Pearl Legacy. Love this car and made a very good investment. Mark Clark and everyone are awesome.
