I helped facilitate a Hyundai purchase for my elderly mother in law Suzanne and Joseph McKenna was wonderful. He went above and beyond to make sure we were getting exactly what we needed. Where do I begin. I dropped off my car Sept. 5 and just picked it up yesterday Sept 28. When I dropped it off that Saturday, they said they would contact me by the end of the day with what was up with it. picked it up yesterday Sept 28. Getting ANY info from these people is like pulling teeth. I was told I would need a new engine, but Hyundai would likely be paying for it— thank goodness. I ask that they contact me before they purchase it with an estimate in case Hyundai wouldn’t pay for it. Another week goes by with no communication, so I call back. The service rep tells me the engine has been bought and I would have to pay for it. My heart sinks to my stomach. I was just furloughed, and the last thing I want to worry about is car issues. He tells me “Ha! Just kidding. Sounded like you needed a joke.” SO unprofessional. I finally get the call on Friday that my car was ready. I picked up my car Monday sept 28. FINALLY. the service rep comes over with 3 sets of keys and asks which one is mine. Huh?? Shouldn’t you know that?? And then another man brings my car around and said he had to jump the battery and asks if I would like for him to check the charge. Of course I would!! You guys let the battery die!! He says I should be good to go. I get in my car this morning, and my car won’t start. Battery is dead. I could have cried. After taking the bus for the last month (they didn’t have any rental cars available??) I’m back to taking the bus. I will NEVER be bringing my car back or dealing with these unprofessional folks !!!!! More
