Rep Nick told me I need a new battery and that he would like for me to get the car back for the weekend so I paid the 395. For the battery, excited to get my car up and running. Later I received a call that they just found out my 2013 Jetteta Hybrid will cost 19,100. to replace the hybrid battery. I’m towing my car out of the dealership service center with a Brand New battery that the charged me 432 for. Shame on Smithtown VW for not diagnosing the problem correctly amd for ripping me off. I will never do business with them again. Obviously, I bought a new car but not there. I even reached out to the service manager Scott and they wouldn’t remove the BRAND NEW unused battery out of my car. SHAME! SHAME! SHAME! This is my 1st review ever. More

As a family walked in and right away got costumer service. Salesman Bart showed us examples of cars we were looking for. Let us test drive. We selected the vehicle we liked and signed the contract. Let’s get your insurance switched so you can leave with the vehicle.(keeping in mind anytime I bought a new vehicle, they would handle that in past dealerships) whatever, it’s Sunday. Traded in our vehicle with a down payment. They prep our vehicle and it’s ready for you to drive but couldn’t place license place holder in the front, asked us come back tomorrow. Ok no problem. Next walking around the car heavy scratch on back bumper, oh we can clean that up now. Nope. I take pictures and then they realize I did that, ohh when you come for the license plate holder we will have the service department look at it. Drive home all service lights on a 14 mile car come on. Next day go to service and to salesman asking why this happen, response is well need to understand once you leave the lot we aren’t responsible. Well you took my car and now I’m going to be left without a vehicle. That’s for service to handle is what we got told by sales. My wife is at work with my car. I had to come home and ask service for a vehicle. They had to pick me up and take me to pick up a loaner. 2 hours wasted of my afternoon bc of poor management from sales. Codes they couldn’t clear for a week and until we called Volkswagen America hotline bc they we were saying an additional week. Pay for a new car to wait 2 weeks! For it!! After calling VW America get a call 2 days later that it’s ready. Then when went to pick up vehicle bc off service hours, we were told to see the sales desk. When arrived they knew our loaner and had someone meet and give us our key and take the loaner key so we couldn’t see anyone in sales. Thank you smithtown VW. More
