Smithtown Nissan

On 11/15/13,I traded in a car for a Nissan Altima. The salesman Michael F was great and the purchase experience was fine. The loan on my car was not paid until 12/31/13, which is 46 days later. I only found out about this because the prior loan was deducted out of my checking account on 11/30/13. I called Michael and he told me they were going to pay it off ASAP. Two weeks later, still not paid off. I called Brian Vasak, who was the business manager. He told me the paperwork fell through the cracks and would be paid off immediately. I called every three days and still no payoff, though I was told it was paid off. I called Ed O'Donohue, sales manager and twice was told he would call me back. He never did. A second deduction out of my checking account was made on 12/30/13. The loan was finally paid off on 12/31/13. Smithtown Nissan had no problem taking my down payment instantly but refused to pay off the loan for 46 days. This was after at least NINE phone calls, two to Ed, who lacked the common courtesy to return my call. This dealership is extremely unprofessional, and they lie right to your face. Their actions were not only unscrupulous, but borderline fraudulent as well. I would never do business with them again. More

My son-in-law called your showroom and spoke to one of your salesmen (I'm not sure of his name). The salesman made an appointment for us to come in on Thursday 12/19/13. However, that date was not good for me as I had a prior commitment. The salesman graciously changed the appointment to Wednesday 12/18/13 - even though he would not be there. He left us in the very capable hands of Jim (I hope I remembered his name correctly) who took very good care of us in his stead. Jim helped me pick out the 2013 Nissan Sentra and took the time to answer all of my questions. Also, while my son-in-law and i were waiting for the paper work to be completed, Jim kept on coming over to us to tell us what was happening - and let us know we weren't being forgotten. Jim's professionalism and genuine sincerity made me feel that I was being very well taken care of. When it was time for me to get into my new car, Jim took the time to explain how everything worked, Thank you Jim for a wonderful experience!!!!!!!!!!! I also have to say that Mr. Alicea was just as accommodating as the salesman and Jim. He went out of his way to make us feel "at home" and he was always coming over to keep us informed. And Mr. Alicea, thank you for the delicious coffee - it warmed me up on a cold night. Thank you Smithtown Nissan for a GREAT Experience!!!!!!!!! Great car!!! Great prices!!! My family went in on Fri. and they spoke with us about getting into a newer vehicle, I was hesitant and the kids were hungry. The staff was VERY patient with us and the kids and helped us entertain them getting into a newer vehicle, I was hesitant and the kids were hungry. I went back on Monday and Mike was glad to help me find the right car. It was cold outside and Mike brought the different models to the door so I didn't have to walk in the cold. I thought that was kind of him I didn't mind going out and looking. He was very informative and he offered to help me clean out my auto. Once my auto was ready Mike sat in the car with me and my husband and went over the features of the vehicle and explained that I could always call if I had any issues. He set up my Bluetooth for me and how to use it as well. Smithtown Nissan staff was great, the insurance broker was also nice and able to assist me as well.
