I would give 0 stars if I could...I walked into Smithtown Nissan to purchase a 2019 Nissan Rogue on Sunday, 1/12/20. I got there around 3pm. I sat for over an hour going back and forth (like we all do). Then Nissan to purchase a 2019 Nissan Rogue on Sunday, 1/12/20. I got there around 3pm. I sat for over an hour going back and forth (like we all do). Then at 4:30pm, the sales guy called my insurance company and told me they weren’t open and he had to call Monday to get the paperwork done. I happened to notice on his business card (after the fact) that he worked until 5pm, so clearly he didn’t want to have to work late. I called my insurance company the next day and they said they very well could have helped him Sunday. That was problem #1. Then Monday when I went to pick up my car, 1/13/20, he didn’t have my spare key. So I filled out the paperwork. Including a 3 year contract for free oil changes and tire rotations. I had to come back twice to finally get the spare key. That was problem #2. So problem #3 was… I noticed a pretty big chip of paint (approx. 2” long) along the side of the driver side door. I cannot tell you the disaster it was to have this properly fixed. I had to go back 7 times!!! Yes, 7 times!! It looked like white out the first time, then 2 different shades of white, then there was sand pieces in the paint, then white paint all over the chrome and black around the window, the list goes on (and I have pictures and it’s all written out in detail). Meanwhile, the sales guy and sales manager begged me not to write a review. Then COVID happened and Smithtown Nissan actually closed down and let go all of their employees (contract issues with the ownership). They re-opened summer of 2020 under new management, hiring back some of the same employees in the service department, so I was able to work with someone who knew all the drama I had in Jan/Feb of 2020. Fast forward, I went for an oil change in Jul 2021 and their system was charging me for the oil change, but I had the service contract for free oil changes/tire rotation. The service manager waived my bill and I did not have to pay, again, he knew all the drama and I had a copy of my contract. Fast forward to an oil change in 12/21. They were telling me I had to pay. I went home, got the contract and went back. They told me they would not honor it since it was new management/ownership. I said I understand, but it’s still Smithtown Nissan. So I called the company that my contact was under, Portfolio Protection. They told me I was definitely still covered through Jan ‘23 so I called back the service department. That was when they changed their story and said they wouldn’t cover since it takes 2-3 months to get reimbursed from Portfolio Protection, so I’d have to pay and get reimbursed. I called Portfolio Protection and she said that was not true. It was 1-2 days. So I called service again! Now they said if I come in on a weekday, they will do it and they will pay. Again, changed their story. Needless to say, this is the worst dealership for customer service. I have now heard so many stories of problems here, with old management and with the new management/ownership. I took my car to a different Nissan dealership and they were nothing but helpful and even laid out the money as it was a Saturday and Portfolio Protection is not open on Saturdays. BE CAREFUL HERE!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! More

Lets start out with saying I WAS a long time customer of Smithtown Nissan as I have leased 3 cars previously from them . Apparently the dealership was taken over by new management recently. I received a cal Smithtown Nissan as I have leased 3 cars previously from them . Apparently the dealership was taken over by new management recently. I received a call from a salesgirl at the dealership claiming even though my lease does not end for several months they can pullback the remaining payments and get me into a new lease for the same or less than I am paying now - bear in mind at the time of this review this would be virtually impossibe due to the recent shortage of cars along with rebates and incentives no longer available . I said to the girl please tell me how . she then stated she needed to run my credit report before she could present numbers . please understand in most states this is considered a complete violation as the only one I am required to speak with regarding credit or numbers is a person representing the finance dept . when I questioned her on this practice -SHE HUNG UP ON ME ???. I then called back asking to speak to someone in the management dept for which I was told " HE IS BUSY AND I COULD NOT "???. I then asked what the gentleman's name was on the call and he stated due to "safety concerns " he could not give me his first name ". after calling back 6 more times and being hung up on and leaving my number no manager ever called back. BUYER BEWARE - I WOULD SUGGEST YOU GO SHOPPING ANYWHERE BUT THE NEW SMITHTOWN NISSAN DUE TO THE CHANGE IN STAFF, MANAGEMENT AND PRACTICES . this for many years was a good dealership but it appears no longer - GO SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ELSEWHERE UNLESS YOU ENJOY BEING GIVEN MISINFORMATION , HUNG UP ON ,ETC More
Steer clear of this dealership under all circumstances. He advised they could not accept wire transfers which is a red flag in and of itself. Called to fixed the situation and the other reviewers are right, you will never get a call back. Avoid at all costs. These are the people that give car dealerships the reputation they have and, apparently deserve. More
We've leased 5 Nissans here and this is the last time we'll be at Nissan of Smithtown. Long story short - Put money down on a lease to lower the payments, but found out that I'm paying over $400 more fo we'll be at Nissan of Smithtown. Long story short - Put money down on a lease to lower the payments, but found out that I'm paying over $400 more for the car over the three years. Tired of hearing they are losing money on this deal. What BS. No satisfaction from sales manager or General Sales Manager. Called Nissan Directly - Smithtown is privately owned and they can't do anything. What??? They have NISSAN all over the building. Not finished yet - calling a supervisor. Go somewhere else and bring a calculator - look at the "charges 'beyond sales tax, More
