I couldn't have asked for a better buying experience. I worked with Dan over the course of about a week or two before deciding to buy from Lexus of Annapolis. For me, a big factor in where I bought my car worked with Dan over the course of about a week or two before deciding to buy from Lexus of Annapolis. For me, a big factor in where I bought my car was trust. Having had a bad experience with a less than scrupulous dealership in the past (Russell Mazda, avoid them), I really wanted to find a dealership that I felt I could trust so that I wouldn't have any misgivings about servicing my car there. Dan was a great dealer. He's very friendly and not at all pushy. The first time I visited, I drove a used car and then talked a little turkey just to get a feel for pricing. I made it clear that I didn't want to buy that day and got no pressure. We negotiated a price and then, without any opposition, was allowed to go home to think it over. I eventually decided on getting a new car and after calling around to get prices Dan assured me he'd offer me the best price. He did. Look, there are a lot of dealers out there that will hassle you and make you feel bad for going home to think things over. You shouldn't and they shouldn't make you. My experience at Sheehy was very friendly. They wanted me to be happy about my purchase so that I would keep coming back. That's exactly what I was looking for. Since buying, I have gotten several phone calls to check up and make sure I didn't have any questions about how to work the navigation system or anything else. When I bought, the negotiation wasn't overly long or adversarial and I wasn't pressured into adding any warranties or other after market features. I had financing secured that required me to bring in a check after faxing in a purchase order. They set up interim financing that was very low and just above what I had, without any prompting. It was nice to see that they spotted me a good rate without asking just in case my financing fell through. Again, trust building. If you're looking to buy a Lexus, I highly encourage you to check out Dan at Lexus of Annapolis first. He's a nice guy and won't try to screw you over. In fact, he seemed intent on making sure I was comfortable with my purchase both before and after. I will happily remain a customer and couldn't recommend him more. Good people deserve your business and Sheehy of Annapolis are good people. More
Bought my car here after almost missing out because of a mistake in ordering by Lexus of Silver Spring. Shopped for this car totally on the Internet, negotiated, and secured a deal. Didn't meet Allison u mistake in ordering by Lexus of Silver Spring. Shopped for this car totally on the Internet, negotiated, and secured a deal. Didn't meet Allison until I was ready to pick the car up, great price, great service, and the right car! Allison has already recieved at least one referral from me and I'll go back to her to buy my Lexuses as long as she's still selling them. More
I drove a considerable distance to buy a used vehicle they had advertised after discussing it with the salesperson over the phone and placing a deposit on the car. Upon arriving there everyone was more they had advertised after discussing it with the salesperson over the phone and placing a deposit on the car. Upon arriving there everyone was more than nice, but after I noticed that their 'pristine' car had a cracked rear bumper from someone backing into a curb or something, the sales manager stepped in. Understandably he did not want to replace the entire bumper, but he would not compromise on the price, either. Instead of trying to convince me to buy the car, both the sales rep and the manager argued as to why the crack should not break the deal. They insisted that it passed the state inspection (is that suppose to be impressive? look at the crap that passes state inspections), it passed their certified pre-owned inspection (that certainly doesn't say much about Lexus quality standards), and I would be the only one that would notice it. They honestly expected me to shell out over $38k for a car that needs $1500 worth of repairs? And to top it all off, the sales manager says, "we will sell the car at that price" (yeah to some joker who doen't take a good look at it) and "well your deposit held the price for you, but not the car, if someone else came along and made an offer we would have sold it before you got here." What kind of operation are these clowns running? Like the price was going to go up on this car! Why take a deposit if you aren't going to hold the damn car? At that point I said to myself, regardless of the bumper, you knuckleheads certainly don't deserve my business. <br><br>Conclusion - Don't let the plasma TV in the waiting area fool you, these monkeybrains have no concept of how to treat a customer. I'm surprised they're still in business. More
I contacted this dealer via the Internet regarding a pre-owned vehicle through a link from the Lexus website to the dealer's website ... went in and inspected the vehicle ... they asked me to fill out a pre-owned vehicle through a link from the Lexus website to the dealer's website ... went in and inspected the vehicle ... they asked me to fill out a credit app before I drove the vehicle ... went back and test drove the vehicle after I had passed the credit test ...<br><br>I told the salesperson I would like to hear their best deal and she came back with a price $4,000 over the list price on the website ... I left and later e-mailed the salesperson with the website listing I had viewed and she stated that "You need to read the small print at the bottom ... we aren't responsible for mistakes" ... (the small print said Lexus wasn't responsible for mistakes not the dealer) ... she referred me to another website where the car was listed for $4,000 more than the Lexus website ... (and $4,000 over Kelley Blue Book.com, Edmunds.com and NADA Guide.com) ...<br><br>problem is the VIN #, pictures and description of the vehicle were identical on both websites ... I responded to the saleperson that she needed to read the small print about false advertising and that the statute regarding false advertising is available from the State Attorney General's office ... she did not respond ...<br><br>car is still listed on both websites 3 weeks later at different prices ... <br><br>I thought driving a Lexus was supposed to be such a wonderful experience ... but, this episode has put a bad tatse in my mouth for Lexus ... buyers beware!
