Let me start by giving an account of my association with Scott Honda, West Chester. Have been visiting this dealership to perform my car’s service for last 4.5 yrs, leased a car and had a very good opinion Scott Honda, West Chester. Have been visiting this dealership to perform my car’s service for last 4.5 yrs, leased a car and had a very good opinion about their sales services. To be fair, I admit the service satisfaction and the 2019 leasing experience was good. But it only requires a bad day like today to ruin that reputation. Also within last 5 days, I got very good feedback from two of my friends who didn’t know I serviced and have used their sales for myself. Today I went to get some information on the new 2024 CRV. I was very positive as few days back someone called me to provide information after I submitted an enquirer form online. The sales rep who greeted me was courteous and started asking about my preferences, etc. As I am familiar about this dealership, i provided my background and also plans about my future purchase. This might have tripped him to think, i was only getting some information and didn’t had any plans to purchase. In about 15 mins of conversation, he stated that this dealership is selling car for above MSRP and it’s around 5K/6K more. It only took me less than 2 mins to exit this dealership after he made that statement and he was very confident that if I go, there will 100s at this market to fall before him. What made to create a login at DealerRater and write this review? First of all, I really LIKED and LOVED this dealership and I was shocked to experience a sales rep say secretly about selling a Car above MSRP and he was very PROUD :(. 2. When I got a call from the dealership 4-5 days back, the sales guy mentioned they sell the car @ MSRP + Other expenses (Tax + title/tag+dealer options,etc). If so, then what changed today? 3. The sales representative at the dealership probably might have completed his target for the month, and/or his managers would have asked him to sell for more. Good luck to the new buyers to fall for such traps. Time will not favor you everyday, it’s might look good today, but tomorrow it might be for your customers. Lucky for me, 1. Even if I am in market to buy a new car and it’s immediate, I am not that desperate 2. I am going to report this to every possible channels until everyone’s perception of this dealership being the best for CUSTOMER SATISFACTION is questioned. I would like to request to the dealership remove my account from their system and I would not like to get any sort of promotion or sales event emails or notifications. This would be ensured not here, but sending an email directly to the concerned department and folks. This experience has convinced me to stop any connection with this dealership. Words for the MGMT - It’s ok to get no 5 Star review (from people like me) for past experience rather getting a negative remark and possibly loosing one. More
