It has been only 2 weeks since I bought the car from your used car department in Route 22 toyota. I have been hearing contradicting diagnosis from them everyday and finally they have asked me to pay $600 for getting the brakes corrected. Please see below for a day by day log of what happened 25 Aug 2012 I brought pre-certified Used camry 2010 with 29k mile with all the package for 20,901$, In a one and half week cont.. DAY 1: 10th sep 2012: i started realizing that i'm getting some mild noise in the rear right wheel, DAY 2 11th sep 2012 : I informed Jose mesa about the problem, he asked me to take it route 22 service center. i couldn't go there since service was closed. DAY 3 12 th sep 2012:(i left my car in the service station). Morning : I took my car to nearest service center to check the vehicle ( sansonestoyota). They said it was under dealer warranty and that they cannot check the vehicle. They said I had to pay 55$ to get it checked by them Evening 5:45 I meet Gerard (customer service adviser) from Route 22 Toyota. After the mechanic investigation, they told me that "There is an issue with the Caliper. Caliper is not releasing rotor, even if i release the caliber now,when we press brake it will come back to normal postion" and also they showed how it is damaged to car rotor. i have seen big scratches around in the rotor, also over heated and caliper is not releasing properly. ( i didn't get a drop since it was 6 pm , i had to requested my friend to pick me up to drive over 18 miles) and Gerard told me that he gonna check with sale manager/ warranty people to check who gonna pay for the damage. DAY 4 13th Sep 2012: I got a call from Gerard customer service adviser and he told me that problem was with Rotors, and he suggested that I might have driven the car with partial emergency brake which might have caused this problem. He said it was a probable reason.He also said i needed to pay $599 to fix this issue. I asked him to check with sale manager. Gerard said he cannot work with sale manager. I was trying to reach Sale manager at route 22 toyota over a phone( more 5 to 10 time i called customer service, and i had to wait till the call goes to voice mail, i left my voice twice), i didn't get any response from them. I call Toyota Corporation and I explained about the situation, " they said you will not get problem even if you drive your car in emergency break system in this shot span of time and they escalated to Customer relationship manger Barry Rosner, they will send document for Baryy Notice, i can contact them after 1 hour( case no : 120-913 1998). DAY 5 14 Sep 2012: Morning We met Barry Rosner, he said he cannot help me since Geoff Lapka comes only by 2 o clock. He got him over the phone. Geoff was very rude to me while talking and i said i haven’t driven my car with emergency break, " HE GAVE ME 2 OPTIONS, 1. COME BACK AFTER 2 CLOCK, WE CAN TALK ABOUT IT OR 2. GO HOME I WILL NOT LOOK IN TO IT" I SAID I'M NOT HAPPY WITH THE WAY HOW YOU RESPONDED AND ANY WAY I'LL COME BACK AFTER 2 PM. DAY 5 evening : I met Geoff Lapka i asked if it happened because of emergency brakes, iT should affect 2 rear rotors not only one(right)rear wheel. HE SAID IT WILL AFFECT ONLY ONE RIGHT SIDE REAR WHEEL. he kept on repeating the same word that you I had driven your car with partial brake.Finally he said, he going to check with service team again tomorrow since by then they already closed. I'M TOTALLY NOT HAPPY WITH THE WAY THEY HAVE RESPONDED TO ME IN THIS SHORT SPAN OF TIME AND I HAD TO TRAVEL 18 MILE everyday to talk with service and sale manager . I'M TOTALLY UPSET, I COULDN'T CONCENTRATE ON MY WORK. I am spending money to go back forth for office and house everyday. I ACCEPTED TO GO FOR CERTIFIED CAR WITH ALL THE PROTECTION PACKAGE( CERTIFICATION, EXTENDED CERTIFICATION, MILLENNIUM PACKAGE) SINCE I DID NOT WANT TO GET SURPRISE PROBLEM. WITH IN A SHORT SPAN OF TIME IF I GOT SUCH PROBLEM, HOW CAN I RELY ON THIS car, HOW I CAN MAKE SURE THIS CAR WILL NOT CREATE ANY PROBLEM IN FUTURE. I AM STARTING TO GET MY OWN DOUBTS ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THIS CAR. My question: 1. How caliper stuck problem suddenly changed to rotor problem on the second day. 2. How toyota has different emergency brake concept ( it will affect only one rear wheel). 3. What is point in getting certified cars ( i got toyota certified warranty and also extended warranty. Both are same i already paid for the both ). 4. Will rotor affect in the short span of time. 5. Why this are ready to give a pick and drop when they want to sell a car but not after the purchase if there is any fault. 6. i'm not sure how those partial brake can apply in the camry. 7. Not sure how can rely vehicle again( how can make this vehicle will not create any problem again) 4 day 15th Sep 2012: Geoff Lapka called me and said both rotors has problem. Both rotors had spoiled. but i heard sound from only one side of rear wheel. Car was in the service station, i'm not sure what they done to create problem to hide them from the mistake. on 09/12 Gerard said - There is an issue with the Caliper. I'm thinking they are want to cover some major issues by blaming me. How do I recommend my colleague/friend for this dealers. My Uncle is working in honda plant. But since i love camry i chose to go toyota. Because this dealership i don't want to get any toyota car in future. Finally I paid 474$ to repair my car. I'm completely not happy with customer service. More
We made a deal for 2012 Rav4. We had given a $500.00 deposit and they did not had the color we wanted on site so they went and got the my color choice from another dealer. When we arrived to pick up the deposit and they did not had the color we wanted on site so they went and got the my color choice from another dealer. When we arrived to pick up the car and finish the deal unfortunately i had a change of mind and did not like the car. When I walked in I was greeted with friendliness and very well mannered services I was then given a sales person by the name Mikey he was a younger sales person so I was a lil sceptical about having him to assist me . But I couldn't have had any better luck Mikey was fun kind courteous funny and very involved with getting to know me and my family who accompanied me at the time then he was selling me a car he was very easy going and only wanted to help us and not take of vantage of us he showed us many different models of Toyota and Scion and at the end we found the 2012 Corolla suited my needs and budget the best I was looking to be $300 a month with zero out of pocket , Mikey was at 349 a month not the number I was looking for . But his Manager came in don't remember his name but gave us a coupon he had to help us get closer to our payment but we decided to shop around he kindly let us out at $320 a month .Mikey though then came back to us with a sad pout on his face then smiled sais he appreciates us coming in and giving him the time and having patience with him trying to sell us a car then handed us a business card and walked is to our car . My family and I have never seen or been treated so well by a sales person or manager before so with that being said never left the parking lot talked a moment went back inside and purchased the Corolla from Mikey . We then went to finance and seen Victor wich was great cause he spoke Spanish and was easier for my sister to understand what we were getting he was also great . My overall experience with this dealer was AMAZING I recommend this Dealer and especially the Sales Person Mikey Tramontana by far the best experience and lots of good Humor . The reviews on here that the Dealer is bad are incorrect the consumer just bought at the wrong time from the wrong sales person . Thank You RT22 Toyota More
My experience with this dealership was great. I brought in my 2005 Sienna as a trade in and was able purchase a 2012 Camry. Jorge Majias was great at answering my questions and making sure I was happy wit in my 2005 Sienna as a trade in and was able purchase a 2012 Camry. I recently purchased a new Toyota Rav4 vehicle from this dealership and I had horrible experience; Sales Person: Mike Daud Finance Person: MAX KIFAYEH Both the sales and finance guys have given me wrong dealership and I had horrible experience; Sales Person: Mike Daud Finance Person: MAX KIFAYEH Both the sales and finance guys have given me wrong information while purchasing the vehicle. They charged me relatively large amount in terms of banking fee and told me that it directly goes to the Lien holder of my car and it will eventually be refunded after I do the payments on time for one year. After talking to the Lien holder, I came to know that they charged me nothing in terms of banking fee and I realized that the dealer totally miss guided me and took my money. When I went back to the dealer to find the clarification, they simply asked me to get out and settle the matter in court. Is this the proper way to talk to the customers? I definitely do not recommend this dealer to my family or friends I will certainly contact Toyota to complain against this dealer, if it does not work, I will see what I can do legally to get my money back. More
