Sold Mechanical Protection Plan on salvage title car I purchased a 2012 Sentra on 4/26/14 . Apparently it was a car with a salvage title. I tried trading it in on 6/17/16 and found out then it had a sa I purchased a 2012 Sentra on 4/26/14 . Apparently it was a car with a salvage title. I tried trading it in on 6/17/16 and found out then it had a salvage title and they would not take it in trade. I tried trading in my 2012 Juke but they were unable to find me a vehicle that fit my monthly payment. I am 4'10" and the 2016 Sentra Sedan was too big for me. Adam the GM called me the next day to say he would fix the pedals on his dime and give me a lifetime of the loan free oil changes. I said I wanted a smaller vehicle and his response was for me to drive the Sentra Sedan for 6 months and then he would put me in a Nissan Versa hatchback. Why would I buy a vehicle for 6 months, made no sense to me. I went to Galles and traded my Juke for a Sonic as I was not able to trade or sell the Sentra and might have to voluntarily surrender it and the ability to purchase new vehicle would be out of the question due to this information on my record. I had records pulled on the 2012 Sentra regarding the background on the salvage title. Reliable originally received the car in 2011 and it appears it may have been purchased by an employee around that time. It was in an accident in 2013 where it was rendered a total loss by the insurance company, fixed and resold back to Reliable. That's when I purchased it in 2014. I was told I had been informed about the salvage title and signed off on it. I did not receive copies of this information or the carfax when I purchased the car. They knew it was a salvage title the day I purchased it and sold me a Mechanical Protection Plan for $1200.00 where the wording on the bottom of the page states that a vehicle with a salvage title is INELIGIBLE for this plan. Talk about taking advantage of a woman going in alone...that was me. On 6/21/16, I spoke with the manager and asked for copies of the documents he said I signed "6 times" and was denied..understandable I guess. He said he would take a loss on the vehicle only if I purchased a new car. I had just purchased one two days before from Galles, I do not need a second car. I mentioned I would go to the Attorney General's office and was told he had 17 attorneys and the AG would not even look at this matter. He was not very helpful More
