To quote another reviewer, "my experience wasn't perfect. " I received an email about the vehicle I wanted. The model, trim, and color was exactly what I was asking for. I was coming from 300 miles away, so I wanted to be sure I knew what I was purchasing before making the long drive. We talked up to five days before the Saturday I arrived, but it wasn't until that morning I discovered the "new" car I was purchasing was not new. It had been the loaner car for the service department. I am not unopposed to purchasing a loaner vehicle, but I was not happy that it was not clearly stated. In fact, one of the pages I received a picture of conveniently had that part of the paper left off the picture. If I could upload a pic, I would show you. Everything I was sent, email, text, pics, etc. listed the vehicle as "NEW." The frustrating part of this is was a sticking point at the end because I did not get the complimentary Hyundai maintenance. I saw the mileage was over 3,000 miles. It wasn't until financing that I realized the odometer was actually at nearly 6,000 miles. The monthly payment estimated was nearly $50 over what it should be and it wasn't until financing that I realized they did that to hide the cost of the service contract. Financing agent (maybe Jose?) was condescending when answering questions and often answered questions with "I don't know how they do that" or "I'm not aware of where this number comes from." Don't lie to me, you are all in the same building. If you are truly in the dark, it is a strategic move aimed to provide plausible deniability for the financing agents. Shady practices that are not unusual but still frustrating when buying vehicles. I really liked Mimi, but she is the one who began the process of hiding the used vehicle. The paperwork showed it was new, but they were not able to sell it to me as new. I'm still upset over it and won't return to San Antonio in order to purchase a vehicle. More

When I pulled up was not greeted and had no idea what to do. I had an appt was waiting for over 2 hrs just for an oil change. My experience wasn't perfect, but I did purchase a vehicle. The problem was that I travelled 125mi. from Killeen to purchase a specific model and trim. I called the day before to ensure that they had the vehicle that I specified I wanted to buy, but when we arrived it was not there. The agent who I had been communicating was not there, but the replacement agent, Mimi Bevil was a joy to work with. Had it not been for her, we probably wouldn't have purchased a vehicle there, because why would we travel so far to purchase a car that we could get in our own town. It wouldn't make any sense, right? The trim we wanted was not available in Killeen or Round Rock, but I was told McCombs had exactly what we were looking for. As it turned out, they didn't have any hybrid vehicles in the trim we desired (FWD or AWD). But in the end we came to a deal that was mostly satisfactory to both parties. We'll see when I return to the states if we are able to trade this model/trim for what we really wanted. The head manager and Mimi were very professional, but one of the assistant managers was very condescending and unprofessional; questioning my integrity about what I had requested to purchase before we arrived. This was a little off-putting because I myself am a businessman. If he were my employee with that attitude, he would receive some retraining for customer service and business etiquette. Luckily Mimi saved the day! I hope that future dealings with the dealership will change my perception of good business practices. More
