This was a great buying experience. I was in the market for a new Ram and sent an email to several dealerships. Gerry Wood sent me a response quickly and called me ASAP. They were able to help with the que for a new Ram and sent an email to several dealerships. Gerry Wood sent me a response quickly and called me ASAP. They were able to help with the questions I had and had the vehicle in stock (they have a lot of vehicles). I loved the powertrain warranty and oil changes they offer at no charge also. No other dealer has all this for nothing. We arrived and were greeted with a smile and a friendly attitude. They had the truck pulled up for me and we went on a test drive. The salesperson, Francis was very thorough in his explanation of the features and was very patient with me. After the drive the manager presented me with the numbers and I pleasantly surprised that they were exactly what was expected and sent to me over the Internet. I purchased my new truck and I'm happy as can be. Thanks Gerry Wood for having such a great team of professionals and operating as a dealer should!!! I highly recommend. More
This is the place to buy! It took me 3 weeks to finally find a dealer thats not about the games and gimmicks. These guys were honest, professional, quick and most of all knowledg eable. David knew everythi find a dealer thats not about the games and gimmicks. These guys were honest, professional, quick and most of all knowledg eable. David knew everything about the Jeep and the Sales Manager made it no "mystery" of who was behind the numbers, and was very nice. I actually had fun and it was the best experience I've had by far. I recommend this dealership to everyone and I will be back for another vehicle soon. Loving my New Sahara!!!! More
I had visited a few other Dealerships prior to going to Gerry Wood Chrysler Jeep Dodge and found that my experience with these guys was the best. I did not feel pushed or rushed into making a decision with Gerry Wood Chrysler Jeep Dodge and found that my experience with these guys was the best. I did not feel pushed or rushed into making a decision with a vehicle. I did not get the original vehicle that I had been looking for but I feel the staff was highly knowledgeable and helped me with my decision. There was no haggling back n forth, I received straight talk with both my trade-in and with the purchase of my new. When I drove away from the lot, I felt good about my deal and I would recommend this Dealership to anyone looking for a great purchasing experience. Thank you for everything. More
This was the worst conceivable experience I’ve ever had at a dealership. I found a 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon with reasonably low miles that appeared to be in excellent condition on cars.com or A at a dealership. I found a 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon with reasonably low miles that appeared to be in excellent condition on cars.com or AutoTrader.com (I don’t recall which) sometime in mid-October. Since I live in Greenville, a 3.5 hour drive from Salisbury, I called the dealership to make an inquiry. Yes, they told me, the vehicle was still on the lot. They could set up a test drive for that very afternoon! I told them I was from out of town and needed to make sure we were reasonably close to a deal before I made a special trip. The sales manager was very helpful on the telephone and got all the details about my 2011 Dodge Ram Laramie 1500 Crew Cab pick-up and gave me a tentative quote for a trade-in value, pending an appraisal at the dealership – completely understandable. I told him the quote wasn’t too far from what I wanted and the price of the Rubicon, while slightly higher than what it should have been for that year and those miles, was within a reasonable range. He told me over the phone that “we weren’t far off at all, and I should come in to try to close the deal.” Throwing caution to the wind, I made a special trip to Salisbury to drive this vehicle. It had a small lift and over-sized tires that were installed by the previous owner. While the exterior of the Jeep was in pretty good shape, driving it showed a different story altogether. It was a challenge to keep the vehicle between the lines. (I have owned two previous Jeeps and just bought a JKU Sahara at another dealership, so I am aware of what a Jeep drives like. This was not to be chalked up as a “Jeep thing.” This vehicle had serious issues.) It was a struggle to engage 4-hi, and I didn’t even try 4-lo. Neither the salesman nor I could get the lockers or electronic sway bar disconnect, both selling points on the Rubicon, to properly engage. There was a tear in the back seat fabric that was not shown in the photos nor mentioned over the telephone. While a navigation was installed and Bluetooth was a selling point, I quickly discovered UConnect was not enabled (that was about a $600 part, the salesman told me). And here’s the kicker: The underside of the Jeep looked brand new, like it was just off the show room floor. It had recently been blasted with black under-coating. Though I can’t prove it, the sand under the carpet and spots of rust elsewhere in the tub lead me to believe someone had tried to cover up some rust issues underneath the vehicle. And it only gets worse from there: Once we got back, I was already well aware I was never purchasing a vehicle, much less this vehicle, from this dealer. However, I had driven 3.5 hours, so I was going to see how this played out. The sales manager, still super friendly, drew up a sales offer with the dollar amount quoted over the phone for my truck. It was about $2,500 less than what I was willing to accept, but I knew my truck was in great shape and had been counting on getting a little more out of it once they appraised it. When I told him I needed more, he scoffed at me, called my truck “filthy” (his exact words) and said I was only getting what he offered because he was a man of his word and was honoring his telephone price. You may chalk that up to us having different opinions and me seeing my truck through rose-colored glasses; however, my vehicle was spotless and in immaculate shape. After leaving Gerry Wood, I visited two different dealers, both of whom offered me exactly what I wanted for my truck. The dealership where I eventually made a deal saw my truck, and the first words from the appraisal guy were: “Wow, nice truck. Very clean!” (A far cry from “filthy,” even though it was in precisely the same shape, only with about 1,000 more miles since the Gerry Wood visit.) Up to the point at which I balked at their trade-in offer, everything was very friendly. When it became clear I wasn’t signing their low-ball offer, the heretofore uber-friendly sales manager became insulting and down-right combative. I told him my concerns about the Jeep, and he said he wasn’t going to lower the price; it was already below market value. One more thing: While talking to the sales manager on the phone before the trip, he urged me to hurry and test drive, as they had “just gotten” the Jeep “a few days ago,” and “at this price, it’s not going to last long.” I knew that was a sales tactic, but I didn’t expect it to be a blatant lie. I asked the salesman during the test drive how long it had been on the lot. His answer: A little over a month. It’s still sitting there today, six weeks after that conversation, and the price has come down about $2,000 from when I saw it. For the mechanical issues it has, that price needs to come down another $3,000 or so. Anyway, I walked away and thanked them for wasting my time and gas money when they had no intention of working with me in the first place and every intention of selling me an over-priced vehicle with serious mechanical flaws. By the way, I bought a better equipped Jeep with fewer miles at a different dealer in Charlotte for 15% less than what Gerry Wood was asking for their Jeep. I cannot stress this enough: Stay away from Gerry Wood and their deceptive, manipulative practices. They embody every negative stereotype one could ever associate with a used car lot. More

The employees I came in contact with were very friendly, including, but not limited to Sandy Scott and Curtis. I understand the common goal of wanting to sell a used vehicle. I am just not sure if it is d including, but not limited to Sandy Scott and Curtis. I understand the common goal of wanting to sell a used vehicle. I am just not sure if it is deceit or incompetence on the part of the service department. The rear brakes were changed to stop a "noise' in the rear. It is still there. They didn't fix the original complaint. I haven't found out what that is about yet. There was a chattering noise that the salesman and myself agreed to hearing under the hood. When taken to see a "senior service technician", all i got was a funny look and a "I don't hear anything". I did end up purchasing the vehicle based on his testimony. When I got home with it, the noise still bugged me so I went to see my personal mechanic. He noticed the noise right off too and asked me to shut it down. He took 30 seconds to remove the belt and we discovered the fan was very wobbly. It was a bad bearing after all. I was fortunate that the fan didn't come off and go through the radiator on the way home! More

This was my second vehicle purchase from gerrywood Dodge in Salisbury. Just like the first purchase, my wife and I are very pleased thus far with not only the vehicle itself but the customer service and ve in Salisbury. Just like the first purchase, my wife and I are very pleased thus far with not only the vehicle itself but the customer service and vehicle selection offered at this dealership. My only minor complaint with this recent purchase is that while completing the finance paperwork with Steve (who is fantastic by the way), our new Charger was sent to be cleaned for us to receive and take home. Upon getting the keys to our new vehicle, we noticed that the car really was washed poorly and still looked as if it had been sitting for quite some time. Our sales rep Francis also noticed this issue before we really even said anything and assured us that when we come back for our first oil change that they would have the car detailed to make up for its appearance. Not a huge deal but I guess when you buy a new car you cant help but get excited to see a shiny new car pull up, get in and drive home. Outside of that, I will be doing business with Gerrywood Dodge again in the future. More
This was the worst experience we have ever had with a delership. They are shady and wouldnt recommend them to anyone. They promised us a jeep and made us put a deposit down to hold it. When they found ou delership. They are shady and wouldnt recommend them to anyone. They promised us a jeep and made us put a deposit down to hold it. When they found out we had a chrysler discount they said they didn't have to honor the discount and would not sell us the jeep. When chrysler tried calling them they wouldnt return any calls back. Chrysler has them now on the do not buy list. More
