Writing the Check was the Least Painful Part I came to this dealership knowing what I wanted, and about what I was willing to pay. After a test drive , I asked about getting the car in another c I came to this dealership knowing what I wanted, and about what I was willing to pay. After a test drive , I asked about getting the car in another color. Trent would not even consider looking for a the car I wanted until I put down $1000 and still couldn't guarantee the vehicle. A few days later I was told a car meeting my criteria had arrived and they were going to detail it the next day(Friday) I spoke with Trent on Saturday and he told me to come in at 11:00am Monday so we could go through the operation of the car. We arrived at 11:00am Monday but the car was not ready and neither was the financial rep. We were told to stop back at 1:00pm. We didn't get into finance until 3:00pm. Meanwhile we were subject to a deluge of extended warranties, rust proofing and window treatments. Typical sales technique: Create a situation Rust, Torn Seat Paint Chip, Broken Glass, agitate the heck out of it, offer a solution. REPEAT. Finally the finance rep was ready. We had asked for him to do a payment comparison for a 48 month and a 60 month loan. The rep gave us a blank stare and told us it was already done for 60 months. (Between my fiancee and myself we have purchased 6 new vehicles in the last 8 years and have always been able to change payments before signing a loan. Now the car is ready, but still dripping wet from the DETAIL. There is water dripping off the back bumper and the dash is still dusty. There is also a strange film on the inside of the windshield. We finally leave the dealership nearly three hours later. When we get this Brand NEW Car home, our neighbor had been waiting for us, and immediately points out two 6 inch scratches on the rear bumper. We went back that evening but no one a the dealership even bothered to look at the scratches since our sales rep had left. I returned the next day and was greeted with great skepticism. No way it was us, we checked it out real good. I later pointed out that the last thing that was done was installing the plates. They begrudgingly agreed to repair the paint. FYI when someone spends $24,000.00 you may want to believe them. More

He listened carefully and respectfully to me as I explained to him what I was looking for in a car. He treated me like I was his favorite and only customer when I know he had many others to communicate with. He showed interest in my family and life situation. He was johnny on the spot with replies by phone, text or email and for finding the car I wanted. Then he promptly drives 100 miles to bring it back to Cedar Rapids for me. It was perfect and Trent spent his time showing me how to program the phone and how how all the new options worked. He also had my favorite radio stations programmed for me when I arrived. Hats off to Trent, a very positive experience!! More

You told me to bring the car in and you would get to it when possible and a few hours later, I received the call that indeed, there was a screw found in the tire and your technician had repaired it! In the space of a couple hours, we went from casual shoppers to seriously considering an offer to purchase the CR-V. Matt worked hard to get us the deal we wanted and went even further to find the color and features I wanted! When we picked up the car, he was so good at explaining its features and took time to point out the most important ones several times to make sure we understood. We weren't hurried and our questions were carefully answered. A very nice and welcoming experience to the dealership. We think we're going to be very happy with them, based not only on our sales experience but also the excellent reputation of the Service Department. And, I really, really like my CR-V!! More

My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Trent Pearson at Randy Kuehl Honda in Cedar Rapids, Iowa! I shop like a guy. My shops like a woman. Yet Trent allowed BOTH of us the right amount of time to come to the right decision about what new car to buy. In fact Trent made the best economical use of our time, inviting both of to come at different times that were convenient for us separately. And then when we both came back in to pick up our new Odyssey, Trent stayed with us for a solid four(4) hours going over the dashboard, entertainment and communication systems!
