I dropped off my F-150 FX4 King Ranch technicians who actually inspect vehicles rather than just checking boxes, avoid Randall Reed’s Planet Ford. I dropped off my F-150 FX4 King Ranch while out of town on a cruise, explicitly requesting a comprehensive 50,000-mile service. I gave them blanket pre-authorization to perform any necessary maintenance and repairs up to $800 so they wouldn't need to track me down for approval while I was away. What did I get? An oil change, a tire rotation, and a lazy brush-off that "everything is fine." They completely failed to perform standard preventative care for this truck and climate—no 4x4 drivetrain service, no Texas-heat A/C service, and no sunroof track lubrication. Worse, their "inspection" missed blatant, unmistakable issues that any competent technician should have caught immediately: Loud, unmistakable belt noise on every single startup. A malfunctioning backup sensor throwing repeated faults. I gave them ample time, pre-approved funding, and an open runway to thoroughly maintain a high-end truck. Instead, they did the bare minimum of a 10-minute quick-lube shop and ignored obvious mechanical and electronic faults right in front of them. Zero thoroughness, zero attention to detail, and a complete waste of time. I will be taking my business elsewhere. More
