I started my search for a replacement for my S60 quite some time before the lease maturity date. Gary and Frank gave me excellent advice regarding the best time to purchase. Very Simple. We had simple problems. We had to visit the dealer three times. Our car doors wood not lock/unlock and they needed to order the part and (after a few hours) we had to come back for another the dealer three times. Would have been nice if they had loaners available, but they made us aware that we would have to wait a week or more to get one. OK not very consumer friendly. Then we go back and after making my wife wait another two hours, they indicated that they did not order the correct part. VERY Frustating. It would have been nice if we actually had someone at the desk had told my wife what was going on and be nice about it. We truly felt like we were at COSCO rather than Volvo. The problem was finally fixed, but there was may too much effert exerted over a simple problem. More

I have been a Volvo owner since '87- true Volvo for Life. Been, and bought, from several dealers. Last 4 Volvos from Ramsey, 3 with Gary Parker. Why? Honest advice- not sold "up". Knows the competition and the "why" buy Volvo. No pressure and great followup. I bought a '10 XC70 last fall but needed a second car. (Overseas delivery it wonderful- do look into it). I bought a "preowned" XC 90 with 37,000 mi on it. There were some manufacturing problems (yes this DOES happen). Wasn't happy and wanted a new car instead of used. Gary Parker/ Frank Benedict got Volvo Central(?) to contribute a real fair amount and Ramsey gave me back a VERY fair price for my now 4 month owned XC-90. I bought a new ('10) XC-60. What a car!!! I'll have to keep an eye out for Smokey. Volvo treated the deal wonderfully and confirmed my confidence in them and the product. Thank goodness i did not buy off the lot of a typical used car dealer. I also had the Certification added to the XC90 which i think was a REQUIREMENT on buying a used car. Ramsey, who also has a fantastic service department (remember i HAVE been to other places), took care of their customer to a fantastic level. I tell all of U that i am not only Volvo for Life but I am Ramsey for Life. Thanks Gary, Thanks Frank and thanks to who ever at Volvo Central (N.A.) decided to give an allowance- though NOT required or even expected by the customer. I'm on board for the S60 in a few years. Sales and finance personnel were fine, friendly, knowledgeable. We had a good experience with both sales and finance. I had asked Stan at time of purchase about dings on car as well as chipped paint on edge of door, He assured me that the car would be "perfect" after it was prepped. At delivery, the dings were still there and the chipped paint had a cover up paint job that looked like a kid did it and was awful. When asked why, Stan said that if they tried to paint the dings, they would look like blobs of paint. Very different answer than when we were buying the car. Maybe you can send me a small bottle of Celestial blue paint so I can fix it myself. My last Volvo was purchased brand new. When it got a ding in the first few months, I took it to the dealership, Secor Volvo fixed it so the paint looked perfect. So I know it is do-able and am not sure why that could not have been done for this car. Also, when we got home with the car, we put the roof down. The "black boot" was filthy, full of a very thick black soot as well as the top of the front window. The top of the actual glass windows had black marks on them. The back seat was also spotted and dirty. The contract we signed included a cost of $499 for prepping of which $150 was detailing. I do not feel this car was properly detailed, certainly not $150 worth. Volvo service departments that I have dealt with in the past put quality as a #1 priority. This is obviously not a priority for Ramsey Volvo. More
I made a Saturday appointment (which was very convenient) for the 7,500 mile service and was taken immeidately upon arrival. They finished within an hour and a half which was the time promised. Overall, I was very satisfied with the service I received. More
We bought our S80 from Gary Parker and we were very pleased with Gary and the entire dealership. We love our car and the price was very competitive.
