My current lease was near the end. For 3 years the leasor was not always pleasant, especially at this last day, the end of my lease when we were possibly ready to renew the terms. My dad and I spent a long was not always pleasant, especially at this last day, the end of my lease when we were possibly ready to renew the terms. My dad and I spent a long day shopping for a new lease that would be reasonably priced, safe for my daughter and where the staff would be friendly and helpful in time of need over the lease term. After multiple numbers and "deals", dad and I were tired. I received a call mid day from Gary at Volvo who had understood that the day was long and my tired daughter was in the car and we just wanted to go home. It was almost closing time when I returned Gary's call after he was kind enough to call me back earlier with some information. Gary stayed past closing time to sit down with us and go over any questions we had as well as the assistant manager to Buzz.Unfortunately, I forgot his name. Never once did we feel rushed, pressured to buy, "taken for". We actually felt as if we were amongst people that we had known for some time. The next day we returned to the dealership with more questions. Gary greeted us with a smile and arranged for Buzz to be available to answer any questions. Again, not once did my dad and I feel that we were being strung along or "played". They took their time and asked us what we needed to be happy. They were patient and gave us 100% of their time and efforts. Another visit my husband wanted to see the car and again I was so excited and Gary without hesitation or inpatience took us to see my potential new lease(even in the cold).I never felt embarassed or pressured when asking questions that may not have been familar to me, but common grounds to them. Each staff member was friendly and smiling. Then there was Vinnie. He was the cherry on the Sundae. The humor continued and the sensitivy to my financial needs continued in each department. The honesty and comfort level continued as well. After the papers were signed and the deal was "done", the service continued to be incredible. Gary took soooooooo much time to go eveything in my new car and never turned away or lost patience even when the questions may have seemed obvious. My current lease ended up coming back with an offer that was very comparable to the Volvo. WHat it really came down to was this.........the comfort and atmosphere of the Volvo dealership. The friendliness and family feeling I got that remained unchanged each time I walked through the volvo doors. I am looking forward to the next 4 years with the Ramsey Volvo dealership. More
I will start off by saying I am normally not one to take my time to write a review or speak on behalf of anyone but my recent experience with the folks at Ramsey Volvo left me feeling compelled to do so. I my time to write a review or speak on behalf of anyone but my recent experience with the folks at Ramsey Volvo left me feeling compelled to do so. I was in the market to replace my car and started my search on the internet. I found a 2 year old slightly used Volvo that was recently marked down and decided to go into their dealership to take a look. I had just finished coaching my daughters softball game so needless to say I was a bit underdressed. It was a very busy Saturday and as soon as I pulled in the lot Gary broke away for a minute to let me know he was finishing up with a customer and would be with me in a minute. I could tell from the moment I got to speak with him that he was proud of the product he sold. I had the service manager come out to my car and ask my wife and kids if they would like to come inside and watch TV and let the kids play in the playroom while I looked at the car. Gary enthusiastically showed me all of the features of this particular car and gave me some in depth knowledge of the entire Volvo product line. He took me for a test drive with two of my children and I knew at that point that this would be the car for us. Now I recently purchased a new Honda van so I braced myself for the tough negotiations and sales pitches that I knew I was about to hear. And....nothing... It was the smoothest transaction that I have ever experienced from bargaining the price to speaking with Vinnie in the warranty department. I purchased the car the day before Easter and they had it all ready to go for me on Monday morning. They were not going to let me take it before it was fully gassed, waxed, polished and inspected and met their standards of excellence. When I went to pick up the car Gary personally made sure I knew how every button and control operated so I would get the full enjoyment from my car. He even spent 20 minutes with me to get my cell phone hooked up to the blue tooth (don't know how I ever lived without that). To make a long story short the Ramsey Auto group and Gary in particular gave me the same personalized attention and service that you would think would only be reserved for someone in the market for a new car; or at the very minimum someone that was dressed better than me at that time. They were far more professional, courteous and thankful than the dealership I had just purchased my brand new 2009 Honda van from. I would highly recommend them and plan on doing more business with them in the future. More
My husband and I were on a road trip from Atlanta, GA to NY to visit my husband's grandmother who was extremely ill and dying. On the road trip our car started to make a rattling noise. We brought in our ca NY to visit my husband's grandmother who was extremely ill and dying. On the road trip our car started to make a rattling noise. We brought in our car and told them that if they could not handle this quickly to tell us since we needed to get to our destination quickly. They said they would look at it that night and call us that night to tell us what was wrong with it. We never received a phone call and had to call them the following afternoon. They never even looked at it and would call back later. They told us that our entire drive shaft needed to be replace and would cost $1800. They replaced the drive shaft and the noise was still there so they put our original driveshaft back in. Kenny the mechanic said he would call within a few hours. Three days later we had to call him since no one bothered to call us. Kenny said that our differential was failing and that he couldn't figure out what was causing the noise but knew it was coming from the back of my car said and since he couldn't pin point where he wanted to replace my entire back end for $3,100! Mind you this is a 1998 XC70 only worth $8,500. I told him we would call him back and not to do any work to our car. I looked on line to find out that it is extremely rare for a differential in a Volvo to fail and if it did it would be inoperable, we drove it 85mph almost the entire way. I called my Volvo mechanic back in Atlanta and he was in total agreement with the information I found and said to get our car out of there, that we were getting ripped off. We had the differential greased well and drove all the way from NY to Atlanta nonstop, 85mph and no noise! We just picked up our car from our mechanic and it was a loose piece in the driveshaft and cost less than $500. Need I say more? More
This was my second volvo I leased. The first was from Kundert Volvo. When I went back to Kundert to lease another volvo they told me to bring my husband with me when I come back. I found this very rude, Kundert Volvo. When I went back to Kundert to lease another volvo they told me to bring my husband with me when I come back. I found this very rude, so I didn't go back. I went to Ramsy Volvo and met a saleman named Art. He didn't pressure me, let me take a test ride, and worked with me. I purchased the vehicle the next day and it was the best experience I have ever had leasing a vehicle. Salesmen should realize this is 2006 and the majority of people that purchase/lease vehicles are woman. More
