Wonderful overall experience. Sales rep, Gary Parker, was a true professional throughout the entire transaction. It was unexpected to be able to direct the salesperson to what we wanted and not be lead by w a true professional throughout the entire transaction. His in-depth knowledge of the vehicle and its features (XC90), coupled with his ability to understand our needs, assured us that we were making the correct choice. We never felt pressured or rushed to make our decision, and the dealership could not have been more accommodating with respect to delivery of the vehicle. As we've only been in possession of the vehicle for less than a week, we'll refrain from any comments on vehicle performance, but if the sales experience is any example, we'll be headed back to Ramsey Volvo in the future. More
I Love our new car, however, I wish I knew that I had the choice for heated rear seats or booster seats. John was very professional in handling the sale & Tom was great in the service dept. He called you when the car was ready and he went over the invoice with me. Had 2 experiences. I was interested in a new s40 and my Had 2 experiences. I was interested in a new s40 and my son in a used s40. The best way to describe the experience is poor. I was quoted a price on a car that was not the color I wanted and was told the color I wanted was not coming in and needed to be ordered. I asked if they could do a dealer swap for the color I wanted but was told no. I ended up getting a 2011 s40 from a dealer that treated me as a important customer and also the car I wanted for over $1000.00 less than quoted to me from Ramsey. My son fell in love with a certified used s40. My son is just out of the military and is a disabled veteran. When setting up the appointment with Ramsey I explained this too the salesman and asked them to treat him with respect and not as another customer off the street. The exact oposite happened. The whole experience was a pressure pitch, sign here, and give me a deposit all before securing financing. Long story short the financing came abck and because he is new to credit and the % rate came in over 14. My son declined the offer and asked for his deposit back. Now mind you they right away took his money and he waited almost 3 weeks to have his account credited. This dealership is a typical high pressure make your commision, who cares about the buyer. My advise is go to Englewood! More
I saw a new 2008 "NEW" XC70 Volvo listed on website I called to inquire about a price and was scolded that thety do not have New 2008's cars despite it still being on their website. I went to this dealership to buy a pre-owned volvo xc70, however after speaking with and working with Gary, i was convinced that a 2010 was the way to go. Great friendly service from the minute I walked in the door at every level. Showed me the vehicles I wanted with no pressure tactics at competitive rates. Here's a partial list of the things they did for me: -Showed me the eFax for each car I was considering -Initiated getting a new lending source for a better rate -After the pre-owned cert inspection, added new tires and new windshield at their expense to the vehicle I was purchasing -Took my other car and serviced it while I was looking at cars to buy, even tho had no appt and was late in day -Picked me up from the train station from Manhattan even tho they were short staffed and were expecting me a day later -Because of logistics, overnighted me the NYS plates and registration I can not say how pleased I am with this team and their really great customer service. I want to thank each and every one of them for making this whole process smooth and easy and looking forward to seeing them in the years ahead. If you enjoy excellent detailed service and accommodation of ALL your needs, both anticipated and unanticipated, I highly recommend this specific dealership, the wonderful people there, and by extension, their others. I have brought my 2008 V70 in three times to fix a problem with the driver side window. They seem to be unable to correct the problem. It is currently malfunctioning again and this is incredibly fru problem with the driver side window. They seem to be unable to correct the problem. It is currently malfunctioning again and this is incredibly frustrating. I got a courtesy call from a representative about a week after my last trip. I explained the situation to her and she told me she would have a service manager call me. I never got that phone call. The service consultant I dealt with this last time, Tami, could not have been nicer and she went to lengths to ensure I had a loaner car when she knew it would take an extra day to fix the car. However, the fact that they have been unable to fix the problem in three trips to the dealership amounts to an unpleasant experience overall. I will be bringing the car to a different dealer from now on. More
John was great. We needed a car in 24 hours and he found it. Very helpful and extended himself to get us a car on the spot. This is our fifth but our first with Ramsey and it was a great experience.
