Your comments about our store are certainly of concern to me. Ramsey Nissan is one of the top 20 Nissan stores in the United States. We are also winners of the Owner's First award which less then 2% of dealers nationwide qualify for. If you could elaborate on your comments it would help me to address your concerns and fix any problems you feel exist at our store. If you had/have a deal made via the internet, then you have been assigned to an individual for follow up and a deposit has been left. Please call or email me personally so we can get to the bottom of your dilemma. Sincerely, -John C Ramsey Nissan (201) 825-4040

To Whom It May Concern, My name is Dan Parisi. I am 15 year loyal Nissan owner. The following letter serves as a formal complaint about the level of service that I have experienced with Ramsey Nissan since the purchase of my 2010 Nissan Rogue SL back in 2009. Up to this point, I have tried to remain patient and understanding; however, my recent experience with Ramsey Nissan has persuaded me to write this letter. My first experience was with the Internet Sales manager, Andrew Waddell. Mr. Waddell, at first, as all car salesmen are, was kind and willing to entertain my interests. It was during our email exchange that a deal materialized to its final stage. I was quoted specific numbers on the trade in vehicles and a number on my new purchase. I made a trip down to Ramsey Nissan, which is over an hour and a half away only to find out that Mr. Waddell was off that day. I was then directed to another salesman, whom I do not remember by name. The salesman presented himself in an unprofessional manner in which he dozed off, yes that is right, appeared to have been drifting in and out of sleep, during our business deal. The person that I came down with could not believe their eyes. During our time with this very tired salesman, I showed him copies of the email exchanges with Mr. Waddell and myself. He supposedly read through all of the emails in approximately 20 – 30 seconds and proceeded to negotiate a new deal in which I was given much less than previously discussed with Mr. Waddell. He even laughed out loud and told me I was “crazy” and “tripping” if I believed I was going to get these numbers. At this point, I was pretty frustrated and said I was leaving. He told me to sit down and we’ll try to compromise. Because it took a lot to arrange this trip (I had to have someone drive up an hour to my place and get the second car to drive all the way back down to New Jersey), I reluctantly took the deal. Shame on me! Over the course of the next nine months, I routinely brought my car to be serviced by Ramsey Nissan. Last month, a piece on the shifter of the car broke off (this is covered under the warranty). I called Ramsey Nissan to schedule my 12,000 mile service call and requested that they order the piece that I needed so that I wouldn’t have to make two separate trips. At first, the gentleman I spoke with was receptive to the idea and even faxed me over a copy of the parts page so that I can give him the exact number of the piece I needed. I made a follow up call a day or two later only to have a different person tell me that there is no way they can order the piece in advance and I have to come in for the oil change and make another trip down. I would like to reiterate that this is not a short drive; however, I followed the advice of the service manager. When I arrived at the Ramsey Nissan for the oil change I was told that I needed to go to the garage for the oil change and to order the piece. I went over to the garage only to have another person tell me that I need to go back up to service manager. I explained that I was just sent down there. He then proceeded to complain about how the service manager is always trying to “dump” more work on him. We went back up to service manager in which the co-workers exchanged words. This is certainly not what I traveled all way down to Ramsey for. During the course of the two week period in which my part was ordered, I emailed Mr. Waddell expressing interest in possibly trading in my vehicle and purchasing another vehicle for my fiancé. Mr. Waddell was quick to follow up with the Internet inquiry, but has not returned any of emails. I called the store three (3) times in the past two days requesting to speak with him and he was either away from his desk or unavailable to take my phone call. As a result of my repeated bad experiences with Ramsey Nissan, I will never do business with them again. In fact, I will have to strongly consider doing business with Nissan all together because it was bad experiences with other Nissan dealerships that brought me to them. I don’t think my requests were extraordinary, nor to I expect to be dealt with in the unprofessional matter that I have been. I do not seek any retribution from my complaint, but I would like to you to make note of this so you that you can better serve your potential customers in the future.

Tony T was an alias because I do not wish for my name to be posted on the Internet. It is not in my nature to publicly deal with my concerns, however, I am fed up with the level of service from Ramsey Nissan. The young lady I dealt with today was about the only positive experience I've had.

Dan, It appears most of your concerns are with the service department of Ramsey Nissan. I will forward your concerns to our service manager, Michael, for review. I have looked through our emails and voice messages the last 4 business days and see no contact from you to Mr. Waddell or anyone in the sales department. I also reviewed your email exchange with Andy from September 2009. I copied the last few below for you to review. Your deal did include two trades. Is it possible some cosmetic or mechanical concerns came to light at the appraisal? Since you financed $26,069.36, it seems that the pay off figures for the trades were off slightly, $69.36 to be exact. Your emails finish with you taking advantage of the $1000.00 Promotional Rebate while financing through your credit union $25,000 "all in". You ended up financing with Nissan taking advantage of their 3.9% APR Promotion in lieu of the $1000.00 rebate. ---------------- Just wanted to let you know that I'll be down there around 1:30. MSRP is $29500.00. Car is loaded. With trades I can have you at $25,000 on the car all in. I would need to verify payoffs and see the cars of course but as long as everything is good it works. Let me know your thoughts. You may even be under $25,000 if we use rebate money. Let me know how you want to move forward. Thanks, Andrew M. John, I have emails from this Monday when I first inquired. I also spoke to an associate whom I personally know because I went to school with. I choose not include him out of respect, however, you insist, I will give you his name. He also assured me he would be "work on it" and call me that night. In terms of the emails you listed above. Do you have the emails in which I sent phots of the vehicles? If not, maybe you're missing some. In terms of the vehicle appraissals, of course you will say that they must have been different, but truth be known, the cars were in top condition, not to mention, I saw what you sold them for. It was not 69.36 off. The number Andrew gave me was 25,000, maybe under with the other incentive if I went with the credit union. I paid 1,069.36. Again, not the same agreement we made. I do appreciate that you forward my service concerns to the attention from the appropriate management. I will also make clear that should I allow this rating to go public, I will make the playing field level as well with my side of hte sales transaction by adding rebuttals until my entire side is told. I will also have to disclose any information told to me and the person I drove down with during our test drive. If it should go in that direction, I intend to then forward my concerns to Nissan North America Consumer Affairs as well as the Department of Consumer of Affairs for New Jersey.

To clarify, as noted, the verbal interactions between the salesman, myself and the person that I came down with during our test drive. Too much information! This stuff has no place on a public forum about your business, and I do not wish to share unless I have to.
