Deception is their core competency. Once you have an agreement on price, the finance man tells you about “guardian shield” items that have already been installed on the vehicle. This adds another $2,500 agreement on price, the finance man tells you about “guardian shield” items that have already been installed on the vehicle. This adds another $2,500 to the price. The items might be worth $100 but not more the that. Everyone there calls it a misunderstanding and blames it on someone else. Save yourself a lot of grief and don’t pay a penny for it. Better yet avoid this dealership and buy your car somewhere else! The salesman quoted me a price $500 below another dealership that I visited with a similar F-150. Everything went fine at this dealership until I met with Loren Coleman, the finance guy. It was a constant battle from then on. First he had the price higher than agreed, then he tried to sell me overpriced gap insurance, then it was the guardian shield fiasco. During this process he left the room to supposedly check with his boss every time I disputed prices. I got very upset and went and gave management a lot of angry words, then I stormed out. After a few minutes I went back in, I wish now I didn’t. They said they’d cut the price of guardian shield in half. For some reason I agreed. I ended up paying $1,250 more than the price the salesman quoted me. If I could do it over I would have gone back to the other dealership and bought my truck there. More
