My wife and I went to this dealership to purchase a new car (Penske Toyota in Downey); and from beginning to end they could not have made it a more horrible experience. 80% through the deal the sales perso car (Penske Toyota in Downey); and from beginning to end they could not have made it a more horrible experience. 80% through the deal the sales person Eddie Fatheaazam decided to stop the deal dead in it's tracks without any reason or explanation. We were shocked. The only thing he told us was "It's not in Mr. Penske's best interest to sell a car to your kind of people" The next day the sales manager Jason, contacted us and apologized for what had happened and Eddie Fatheaazam's rude, antagonistic, offensive, and out of line treatment towards us and told us that the vehicle was available and that from this point on we would receive VIP treatment from their fleet manager Linh Lam. He told us to wire the money as a deposit towards the vehicle so that they could hold the vehicle for us and we agreed to doing that contingent upon it being a fully refundable deposit. They told us the whole deal would go smoothly from that point on and when we go to pick up the vehicle we would be in and out in 15 minutes. Once we wired the funds and confirmed they had received the funds we never heard back from them. We called to inquire as to what was going on and they said that the vehicle had some minor damages that needed to be repaired before it was sold to anyone. We asked them to let us know when the car would be fixed. We again did not hear back from them. So we contacted them again and they informed us that the vehicle that they claimed was not in a selling condition because of minor dents and scratches, had already been sold to someone else without any repairs being done to it. They did not give us any explanation as to how and why this had happened. The real nightmare started when we wanted our money back. We asked them to refund our deposit immediately and they would not respond to us and/or refund our money. We left about 20 voice and email messages for the general manager, and he refused to come on the phone or call us back and refund our money. When we contacted the sales person and sales manager they were extremely rude, antagonistic and unresponsive, and they told us that the only person that could answer any questions about the refund was the general manager and that he was not available to talk with us. Eddie Fatheaazam and Eddie Swanenburg are a bunch of bullies that run an unethical operation. Customer service has no meaning to this dealership. They are patronizing and antagonistic and it's not worth doing business with them under any circumstances. They made false claims and representations throughout the entire process. THEY ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED. They are deceptive and dishonest. We were lied to and misled by the sales people and management. More
