So when it was time for me to get a new car - Linh Lam is a super star. We took care of the What-I-was-looking-for details and pricing by email, made an appointment also by email. Showed up, test drove the car and in 30 mins - we were all set. No stress, no games, no trickery, straight up honest, informative and professional excellent service. My wife was also very impressed with the professionalism and honesty. For our future cars, we would rather drive the +20 miles to meet with Linh Lam and his great Penske Toyota team, instead of the other closer dealerships. Buying a new car can seem like such a daunting task, but as soon as I walked onto the dealership, Mike greeted me with a smile. On a Friday, after a long week, that was refreshing! Jason Roberts reviewed with me my options and made it easy for me to understand. Mike and Jason were thorough with the buying process, but made it fun as well! They have a great attitude with customers and are able to really get you in and out. Vu Trang did the financing and moved at the speed of lightning. I was in and out of his office if record time. He explained all my options and was very patient. Through the entire process, Mike walked me through each step, was very attentive and made me actually enjoy the task of buying a car. This was my second time buying a Toyota at Penske, well, from Linh to be exact. And my very first Yelp review! As I was reading some of the reviews on the dealer, I felt the urge to share that there is actually a great redeeming quality or personnel at Penske, Linh Lam. I have never dealt with the service department, so I can't comment on that. However, my overall experience with Linh was outstanding. He's simply the best!! Not only did he have the most competitive pricing, he also matched that with his exceptional professionalism. There was no haggling, he never pressured me to purchase anything that I didn't desire such as extended warranty and accessories. He's always very upfront about financing as well. No hidden fees, of course. The first time I bought my Toyota from Linh was a simple money down purchase whereas the second time purchase involved trading that Toyota in for a new Prius. My biggest concern was how much I would get for my car because when it comes to buying a new car, you can do some online and phone researches to get the most competitive pricing on the car you want. Getting an appraisal on your car, on the other hand, requires you to drive your car to a dealer and the like for which I didn't have time. Although I finally made the time to get a few appraisals for my car, investing every weekend I had, I realized I had simply wasted my time doing so. After settling on the price of a new Prius, I told him that I'm thinking of trading in my car. Linh thoroughly explained what my trade-in value is going to be like and the factors that would affect my trade-in value. The appraisal he gave me was very reasonable. It was actually better than the appraisal I had received from Carmax. I was very happy with my first experience with Linh and that was the reason why I went back to Linh for my second car. He is extremely honest and will tell you what he can or cannot do for you. No hidden fees or surprises at the end of the negotiation whatsoever!! Do your research first and go see Linh, then you'll know that the pricing and everything else you receive from him is second to none. I'll continue to do business with him in a heartbeat. One thing I found out from one of his associates is that Linh is actually one of the best Toyota sales consultants in the NATION. I mean, think about it, if you were him, would you jeopardize such reputation over some lousy deals and mediocre professionalism? Just remember, a guy like him must have a bigger agenda to continue to build his reputation in his career than to make a few hundred bucks on a car deal with dishonesty. More
