He made the process easy, straightforward, enjoyable and pain-free. Let me also add that the dealership is beautiful, calming, quiet even when very busy, and filled with happy employees. There was never any pressure to decide on a vehicle and never any pressure to purchase a more expensive vehicle or a vehicle with standards/options that I didn’t need. There was no attempt to “up-sell”. When it came time to talk money, again there was no pressure. When Sean O'Connor (Sales Manager) stopped by, I thought the high pressure was about to start. I was wrong! Sean just wanted to see if George was taking care of me and offered to help if he could. During the entire buying experience, I NEVER felt pressured to buy. My 2000 Ford Mustang died on me yesterday afternoon after a solid 9 years of service. When I took my Mustang into a Firestone to see if it could be repaired - I was told that I would need a new engine (this a solid 9 years of service. An employee of Firestone highly recommended Pat Lobb Toyota of McKinney as he had just recently purchased two vehicles from them over the last three months. I have not stepped foot into a car dealership for nearly a decade so I was hesitant, however I ended up going to Pat Lobb Toyota of McKinney that same night and had the pleasure to meet Matthew Pilkington. This gentleman answered every question that I could possibly think of and if he did not know the answer - he found it out very quickly. I test drove a 2010 Toyota Camry LE, SE, and XLE. He had no problem with me test driving them as often as I liked in order to make an educated decision on my purchase. Within 24 hours of meeting Matthew Pilkington I was the proud owner of a Certified 2010 Toyota Camry SE. The overall experience that I felt with Pat Lobb Toyota of McKinney was one of professionalism, respect, honesty and speed. This experience was largely due to Mr. Matthew Pilkington. We stopped by Pat Lobb today to purchase our sixth vehicle from them. We wouldn't think about going anywhere else. We have met Pat Lobb, who is a gracious individual. Then we have had the pleasure vehicle from them. We wouldn't think about going anywhere else. We have met Pat Lobb, who is a gracious individual. Then we have had the pleasure since then of working directly with GM John Matthews followed by GM Tim Anderson. They are the most honest and direct car sales persons that we have ever encountered anywhere else. The sales managers who work under them are also fantastic. We have purchased two vehicles through Richard Wilson and today were delighted with the treatment we received from George Mogollon. We only had one sour experience ever at this dealership and it was with a snippy cashier who is no longer employed there. That is saying a lot since we have been Pat Lobb customers since they opened. Don't waste your time anywhere else. Go to Pat Lobb today! More
I'm writing this review in hopes that this dealership will take a lesson. I put this dealer on my top 4 list based on a location and the dealer rater ratings. I was a little concerned though that this one was holding back on any price dialog other than MSRP where the others were already offering me internet pricing. Still they had the top rating for the 3 that were near to me so I went there first for the test drive. The facility is very nice and the drive went great. I got my wife to the point of trying to close the deal and at that point Don Moorehead - the sales person who did the drive - became non responsive. I really wanted to give him a chance since he spent the time on the test drive and I had given him my word I would give him first shot but when calls aren't returned what can you do? He indicated finally there was a personal issue so I texted back that I understood and asked if he wanted to hand me off to someone else. All that did was finally get him to send me pricing but it was for a generic vehicle that didn't meet the specs I sent on the email. By this point I was already at specific configuration pricing with other dealers. His manager - Larry Parks - finally stepped in and offered a solid competitive price but I was already verbally committed to a deal that was slightly lower so it was basically too late. I hope this is an isolated incident but I would urge a reader of this review to not make them your first stop unless they are at the same price flexibility as your other prospects. More
