Yes, but they missed a diagnosis of the car and I had immediate problems with the Jeep upon leaving and had to return and spend the whole afternoon at the dealer waiting for them to fix it. First the bad: Palmer refused to service the glow plugs in my Jeep eco-diesel unless I agreed to waive their responsibility for breaking one and further required that I agree to the cost of replacing the h in my Jeep eco-diesel unless I agreed to waive their responsibility for breaking one and further required that I agree to the cost of replacing the head if they did break off a glow plug for an estimated $4200. Naturally I told them no thanks. This tells me two things: first, that the glow plugs are a known defective item and second, that Palmer has little confidence in their mechanics. Fortunately, I found a competent mechanic willing to take on the task. It turns out the glow plug was never defective in the first place and it was just a dirty contact. He cleaned it, cleared the error code and now it works fine. Palmer completely missed this and was going to charge me the better part of $500 to change the glow plug with the risk of a $4200 engine head replacement if they screwed it up. I certainly will not be going back to Palmer for any kind of significant repairs. Now the good: they did a competent job of changing my oil. For a cost of nearly $300 that is. Refilling the diesel exhaust fluid cost me another $100, and when I pointed out to them that it was still not full, they said they would top it off but only if I paid them more money. So actually, not very good at all. More
