Simple KeyFob replacement that will now take 2 visits Not sure the interaction my daughter had with the service tech, but she waited an hour and 1/2 for what should've been a simple Key Fob replacement--u Not sure the interaction my daughter had with the service tech, but she waited an hour and 1/2 for what should've been a simple Key Fob replacement--under warranty--and she returned home with the same inoperative key fob! It was obviously inop (not a simple battery replacement), and stranded her a in Atlanta. Seems the tech thought it was repaired, since the car started, but I guess he didn't realize the other, working key fob was in the car at the same time. Now we're delayed due to COVID, so will be another couple weeks until we can get it replaced. She didn't catch the name of the tech, so please review your notes. Service order #640--not sure the exact date. More

I bought my Jeep from another dealership and was looking to forge a relationship with Palmer CDJR came recommended to me for their service department. I bought my Jeep from another dealership and was looking to forge a relationship with a local dealer for all of my service needs. Even though there are other dealers closer to my house and place of employment, I chose Palmer because of their reputation. My first visit was outstanding. Confusing diagnostic and costly repair The service department was asked to do a diagnostic on our 2014 Jeep Patriot because the check engine light was on. Initially, Roberto said it would The service department was asked to do a diagnostic on our 2014 Jeep Patriot because the check engine light was on. Initially, Roberto said it would cost $150 for the diagnostic. After the initial diagnostic, he came back and said additional diagnostics were required, the cost would be $2,400 and the repairs could range up to $8,700. Roberto and David both said the problem could be related to overheating. I reminded them of the three times we had brought the vehicle in for overheating. David said he would not discuss any adjustment until he was able to do the $2,400 evaluation. I asked for the paperwork that included their findings, David told me he would waive the initial fee and would not give me the paperwork. We called back and asked Roberto to send a copy of the paperwork. The paperwork he sent simply said we requested a 23 point inspection. We called back, asking for the diagnostics so we could make a decision. Roberto said he would send the information right away. We still have not received that paperwork three weeks later.. More
