I only visited the dealership because I received a recall notice on my ignition coils and I figured that now would be as good a time as any to check on the squeaking noises that my 2001 Passat made any time notice on my ignition coils and I figured that now would be as good a time as any to check on the squeaking noises that my 2001 Passat made any time I applied the brakes. I was initially put off by the fact that Mr. Jason Casimiro took to calling me "man" alternately with "Rich" despite the fact that I didn't invite such intimacies and thought it inappropriate considering 1) I am/was the customer, 2) I imagine that I am at least 10-15 years older than Mr. Casimiro. I decided that it would also probably be a good time for an oil change and agreed to have one performed. Mr. Casimiro promised to check my brakes and call me with news of any possible concerns. At around 1PM, Mr. Casimiro called to tell me that my brakes were just fine, but then rattled off a laundry list of problems with my car that, if all were attended to, would cost me in access of $2500. I believed this figure to be absurd, let alone excessive. The car ran just fine. I was opposed to having anything further done to the car aside from the oil change, but Mr. Casimiro assured me that I DEFINITELY needed to have two repairs; one was replacing a tail light bulb, the other was repairing a leaking coolant flange. Now afraid that if there wasn't anything wrong with my car when I brought it in there certainly would be if I picked it up without a little extra spending, I reluctantly agreed to both repairs. My car sounds terrible now. Thanks Palisades Volkswagen. More

Eric Koller(VW-Nyack) provided excellent service when I recently was in for an oil change. First time I'm writing a review, so now I can no longer say nobody real writes reviews. Ha! We mostly dealt with James & found him to be polite, patient & professional. My husband and I already knew the exact car we wanted (2012 VW Jetta Sportwagen TDI), and had already test-driven one near our home. From the internet, we saw that Palisades had the car in inventory. But they really did have it whereas other dealers claimed to but then didn't really and would either try to sell us something else or get us to put down money to order one with an indefinite wait time. It was all pretty easy and seamless. We did all negotiations and credit applications by phone & email, and only went to dealership once to pick up our new car. We could have bargained more but we got a fair enough price. One thing we were impressed by was they paid us what they promised for our trade-in, and did not try to skim anything off for minor ailments. Of course, we could have sold it ourselves for much more but for us it was worth it not to have the hassle of selling it ourselves. The one thing my husband and I should have anticipated was the warranty packages they would try to sell us. We had to make a decision about that on the spot without no research or customer reviews(we said yes to the 7 year service warranty; no to tire replacement, dent removal and Lo-Jack). After the paperwork, James sat in the car with us and explained every knob and gadget, helped us set up our bluetooth, sync our music, etc. Again, very patient and earnest. A pleasure to work with.
