I took my 2017 Fusion in on Monday for a recall repair. I had made an appointment at the beginning of September, the lady on the phone was amazing. I asked her if she knew how long it would take and she told me a couple of days. I rented me a car so I could still get around while they had my car. After about 5 minutes after dropping my car off I received a message from Dontae asking me if there was anything else I needed while they had my car. I asked him to do a diagnostic on the count of my check engine light being on, about 2 hours later I was told it was my O2 sensors that went bad. He also informed me that my tires needed to be replaced and the total would be a close to $1900. They wanted to charge me $851 for 2 O2 sensors and $1045 dollars for 4 new tires. I declined the service because I had looked around for better prices and found them at my local mechanic shop. After 2 hours I was told that I could come get my vehicle. I didn’t make it in that day to get it on the fact that I had the rental and didn’t have time to go back and get it that day. The next morning I dropped the rental car off and took a Lyft to get my car from them. I had errands to run before I had to go pick my kids up from school. The next day I took my car to my mechanic to allow him to fix my car for the O2 sensors and to get tires put on. As soon as he got under my car he informed me that my car was leaking brake fluid and fast. I had only been at his shop for about 30 minutes before he actually looked at my car and he said there was break fluid everywhere. All in my wheel well, on my tire and on the ground under my car. I feel like this is a huge situation on the count of safety for me and my children. He checked my brake fluid reservoir and said it was empty but the paperwork I received from Oxmoor Ford stated that was okay at the time of service. I immediately called them and told that what was going on and they told me that I needed to drive my car back into the shop so they could take a look, mind you that I live about 30 minutes away from the shop. I asked if there was anything that could be done for compensation on the count that my initial thoughts was that they needed a few days which is why I rented a car in the first place to give them enough time to fix the car right the first time. Dontae said his boss would get me a rental car to drive around. So now I’m worried to even drive the car back out there on the count that anything could happen to me as I attempt to get my car back out there to them to look at. When I got there I was spoken to by Dontae and he was trying his best to help me. He asked his boss I guess that’s who he was Brandon Bond about the rental which he had to put orders in for since I guess he was too busy before I got there to do it beforehand. Enterprise didn’t have anything available until about 4pm which is when I needed to be picking my kids up from school. So Dontae asked him about getting me a ride home where he tells him that he could give me a ride home or I could wait. Dontae informed him of how far I lived and he responds that I could either wait on the rental or wait inside he says he is not a magician and could not make a car appear out of thin air. At this point I really got upset because he had no common courtesy for another person’s time no safety, nor even concerned that they had made a huge mistake that could have cost me my life, or someone else’s life. I was there for over a hour waiting on them to fix the problem and to check and make sure it was good before they gave me my car back. I will never go to this location again, very unprofessional and could have been deadly if I had to drive long distance like I typically do for work since I have to drive a hour away everyday. I just feel like if I would have read reviews I would never have brung my car here in the first place, the fact that other people are having the same type of problem with Brandon Bond is crazy that he still works there. Great service from Doug Kimmons and his team. I have bought multiple vehicles from this dealership and am very satisfied with their efforts. I have bought multiple vehicles from this dealership and am very satisfied with their efforts. More
1-Star Review for Oxmoor Ford (Louisville, KY) I would give zero stars if that were an option. Our experience with Oxmoor Ford at 100 Oxmoor Ln has been completely unacceptable from start to finish. Th give zero stars if that were an option. Our experience with Oxmoor Ford at 100 Oxmoor Ln has been completely unacceptable from start to finish. The customer service — particularly from Lauren, Jenna, and Brandon — was not just lacking, it was outright dismissive and unprofessional. We purchased a Volkswagen from this dealership (which turned out to be a lemon, but that’s another story) and included an extended warranty. Over the weekend of July 19th, we made an appointment to have the vehicle diagnosed for a coolant leak. We spoke directly with someone at the dealership on Monday the 21st, confirmed we’d be towing the car to their lot, and explained the issue in full. Then on Tuesday, as the car was literally in transit via tow truck — which we paid for — we received a text message (because they insisted on communicating only via text) from Lauren stating that they don’t really diagnose or work on vehicles that aren’t Fords, and recommended we tow it elsewhere — AFTER the car was already en route. When we reminded her that we bought the car from them, and had already confirmed this appointment, her response was essentially, “We’ll try, but no promises — we’re not VW certified.” This lack of transparency should have been addressed on Monday, not after we spent time, money, and effort getting the vehicle to them. When we asked them to cover the cost of the second tow to the actual VW dealership, we were told Lauren had “spoken to her manager” and they refused to help with any of that expense — despite their failure to inform us of their limitations in the first place. To make matters worse, when we arrived on Wednesday the 23rd to pick up the car and take it elsewhere, we asked where it was parked on the lot. The response? “I don’t know, they usually park them somewhere down there by the side of Kohl’s…” No offer to help locate it, no concern that we had our young child with us, and no apology for leaving us to walk across a scorching hot lot to find our vehicle ourselves. This entire experience showed a complete disregard for customer service, communication, or accountability. There was no effort to resolve the issue, no ownership of their mistakes, and no concern for the inconvenience or frustration caused. If given the chance to buy from Oxmoor Ford again, I absolutely would not. If given the chance to use their service department again, I absolutely would not. If asked whether I would recommend them to anyone else — I absolutely would not. More
this place is horrible! First I was told by many people that this place was terrible but I guess I wanted to find out for myself. so I took my car to to o more due to AbS li First I was told by many people that this place was terrible but I guess I wanted to find out for myself. so I took my car to to o more due to AbS light and my breaks weee not stopping, donte the service advisor sent me a message saying there was nothing wrong with my breaks and they would have the car back to me the next day. I insisted that he drive it and see how dangerous it was. the next day he called and said the code finally appeared and it was break line and sensor and the problem would be fixed.' further I went to get the vehicle and it was worst then what I brought it! this was a week after having no car and needing a rental. Layer he admitted I needed an ABS module. he and his management team was willing g to put me and my kids life at risk and even the manager said it was not drivable after sending me off. later I took tbe car to another shop and they said oxmoor messed up all the lines and wires and it will take a couple days for them to fix the problem. This is all after they lied about fixing the recalls. Oxmoor is the spray place ever and I will never ever drive a ford due to my experience and the quality of service I received!!!! More
