My wife and I went Chantilly Kia looking for a Sorrento. Upon entering we were met by Jimmy who was very nice. He took the time to explain everything about the vehicle to us with no pressure at all. After taking the car for a test ride we were going to buy the vehicle. Out comes Chris Bell with a blue marker and a paper to give us his initial offer for the price of the car. He writes down a number which looks great and underneath it writes initials for Tax, Tags, Delivery, Dealer Fees, Registration. What they don't tell you until you do the math yourself is that the MSRP price on the vehicle includes the delivery fee. When he gave us the price in big blue numbers he excluded the delivery fee of around 850, so the offer looks good. He then adds it back in when we wanted a total for out the door price. He was nice enough to list the sales tax, dealer fees, and registration numbers on the side, but "forgot" to show the delivery fee. It's a game they all play to throw numbers at you until your all confused. Also the incentive he quoted us was a $1000 for the Sorrento which was wrong. I knew the incentive was 1500 and questioned him about that and said that he made an honest mistake. Really, you do this every day and you make a mistake like that. At that point I felt really uncomfortable working with Chris Bell. After a little back and forth we did not agree on a price because he would not work with us. Long story short; know all your incentives, know what you want to pay with taxes and fees before you go to the dealer ship. Look at truecare.com to get an estimate of the price, but be careful truecar adds all incentives into the price which everyone will not qualify for. The next day we went to Brown's Kia in Manassas and bought 2014 Sorrento with more options for less money. Definitely shop around to get the best price. My wife and I had noticed the new KIA's for some time but knew nothing about the different models, MSRPs or brand itself. We drove into the Ourisman KIA lot strictly on a whim (actually on the way to the Jeep dealership). We looked briefly before being met by Marcus. He gave us a quick run-down of the models and their sub-levels (ex vs lx) and some of the rebates KIA was offering. Having had a VERY BAD previous car buying experience from Nissan Chantilly, I was very direct with Marcus in what my wife and I were willing to spend and what we were looking for. He asked good qualifying questions to point us in the right direction. The 1st Optima Hybrid we looked at was just outside our price range. Marcus then spoke with Purcell Johnson and Purcell approached us about another deal. He asked the usual, "what would it take" question which made me a little nervous because he sounded like every other car sales person out there. Purcell then showed up with an exact same model Optima but with 100 more miles on it but for three grand cheaper. Deal was done and my wife and I are very proud owners of a KIA (a car we previously knew nothing about)! Oursiman KIA also adds in tinted windows and door guards strips on every car. That would be a dealer install so no other KIA dealership would do that. So far, I am loving Oursiman KIA. More
I am giving the rating of very bad because I was quoted a price for a new Kia over the phone, in a text, and then in writing at the dealership. When I came into the store to finalize the deal (after seeing the sales slip with the price circled on it - that we agreed on), I was forced to wait for over an hour as the "finance expert", but apparent "customer relations non expert" proceeded to tell me that the price had been changed to a higher price - $500 higher. I walked out of the store, because I could not believe what I was hearing. The next day, presumably after all in the store collaborated on the facts (which I can only assume they did), I get a text saying they will not honor the lower price!!!! God forbid even offering a lower price, due to their poor customer service. So if you ask why - it’s because your store told me a price, an approved internal price, and then at the last minute decided to increase it by $500. Why it was increased is irrelevant. If you tell a customer a price, as normal business practice, you stick to it. To do otherwise is just horrible business practice. More
I literally stumbled across this Kia dealership after a very negative experience at another brand’s dealership in the Chantilly Auto Park. I knew nothing about Kias but was in the market for a 2-door coup. I was greeted in the parking lot by Joe, one of the most friendly, down-to-earth personalities I have ever come across. Without being too pushy or intrusive, he asked me what was important to me in a car, what I was looking for, what features were a must, etc. The only 2-door they had was a Forte from a couple of years ago. I wanted to take it for a test-drive, but I didn’t know how to drive stick. Purcell, the Sales Manager, then offered to show me some sedans instead. I really was not interested in any sedans, and then he suggested I take the older Forte Koup out for a drive to get a feel for the ride. I let him know that I, unfortunately, did not know how to drive stick. Then, Purcell and Joe MADE MY DAY. Purcell said, “Joe can take you out so you can learn. It’s really easy – you’ll learn in a few minutes.” Stupefied, I asked if they were joking. I seriously had not sat behind the wheel of a manual car. Ever. But I have always wanted to. So, Joe took me out and taught me how to drive stick right then in the Chantilly Auto Park circle. He is an awesome instructor. I learned the basics and he explained the mechanics behind shifting gears. I was on Cloud Nine. Learning how to drive stick was on my bucket list! I had visited the Great Barrier Reef and climbed the Great Wall of China but had never found anyone to teach me how to drive stick! When we finished our lesson, Joe said that I may not decide to buy a manual car, but now I didn’t have to eliminate it from my options. He did not push me to buy a car but promised to keep in touch should he come across what I was looking for. I went home that day and researched the 2013 Kia Forte Koup and a bunch of information on how to buy a new car and negotiate a deal. Three weeks later, I purchased the exact model with the exact features I was looking for: (an automatic) 2013 2-door Kia Forte Koup with the tech package and NO SPOILER. Ourisman did not have the model I was looking for at the time I needed it, but Joe and Purcell’s awesome customer service are the reason I decided to buy a Kia. I am so psyched about my new car and have a lot of fun driving it. Before coming to this dealership, I was considering spending triple the amount for a “luxury” brand with half of the features and a mediocre warranty. I am so happy I went with Kia. This brand’s price and warranty is unbeatable. More

My wife and I visited Ourisman several times before purchase and spent a considerable amount of time with Ryan. Ryan is a true professional who really listened to what we were looking for. His genuine attitude is the reason we purchased the 2014 Sedona EX. If not for Ryan, we would be driving a Toyota. Purcell helped as well to make the numbers better. He was as professional and of course really wanted us to make a deal. My wife and I walked in as educated consumers and we were treated extremely well and always talked with Ryan and Purcell about the bottom line price. When Ryan didn't know an answer he brought us to those who did. This is a great quality because being an educated consumer, I really needed the details to sort out which vehicle to purchase. Ryan brought us to talk to the Service Department who spent over 30 minutes answering all of our questions and we were only potential customers. When all was said and done, we purchased the 2014 Kia and are very happy with it so far. Ryan really went through the extra effort to connect with our family's concerns and needs in our new vehicle purchase. I was very pleased to be contacted right away by HENRY HOFFER. Considering the late hour, Henry chose to send an SMS text to the contact number I provided, which was a perfect way to make contact and demonstrate responsiveness under those circumstances. His articulate text messages provided helpful information, and in the ensuing exchange, he made arrangements with me to see the car first thing the next morning, assuring me that the car and salesperson would be waiting for me. The next day I received a call from BEN BRAUNSTEIN, who introduced himself as the sales consultant who would be showing me the car. He confirmed my arrival time and told me that the car I am interested in was parked outside waiting to go. When I arrived at the dealership, Ben was waiting for me, with everything ready to go. My first impression of the dealership (in person) was excellent, thanks to a warm greeting from PURCELL JOHNSON, who was waiting outside to immediately connect me to Ben. Ben, Purcell, and the other employees who were opening up for the day presented a very professional and poised demeanor, showing just the right kind of hospitality and customer service, without the desperate sales vibe you so often get from dealerships. Ben was a true professional as he familiarized me with the car. Although I had done my homework on the Optima, I had not yet seen it in person. Ben quickly and confidently gauged my level of knowledge and covered the car’s features and strengths perfectly. He had done all the prep work in advance that enabled us to get out on the road in no time. During the test drive, Ben continued to elaborate on the car, inviting me to experience all of the car’s features and driving characteristics in a full range of driving conditions. He listened attentively to my questions and reactions, and adjusted his presentation perfectly. Most of all, Ben’s deep knowledge about this and all of the models we discussed proved to me that he has a true passion for the products he represents. He has taken the time to become expert in the KIA product line, and he is obviously happy to share what he knows. Back at the dealership, we got into pricing and options, and again, Ben was fully attentive and responsive. Ben fully explained options but never pushed anything. He cheerfully walked the lot with me while I considered configurations, color schemes, etc. Upon return, PURCELL worked with us as a pricing consultant. He explained terms carefully, and helped me to identify and take advantage of many discounts and incentives. Together with BEN, he also helped me consider multiple alternatives so that I would come away with just the choices that were important to me, which also helped me come away with the best fit at the best price. It did not take long before I had my claim on a great Optima at a great price. Next step is the “finisher” of course. When it came time to consider warranty and maintenance options, financing, and closing on the car, I was walked through the process by ALTMAN TSANG. He is an extremely congenial and professional sales representative. Altman attended to every detail, patiently explaining the various options, happily explaining them in further depth when I had questions. Never pushy, Altman instead made sure that I had as much information as I needed so that I could make informed choices. I am that much happier about my great new car because I know that the financing and warranty choices I included are just right for me. Beyond the sale, HENRY HOFFER made the effort to stay in contact with me and make sure I was thrilled with my new car. He and ALTMAN were there for me to help explain sales terms and answer questions even the day after. When I had forgotten and become confused about something, both Henry and Alman patiently took me back through those items, breaking down information in multiple ways until they were sure that I was good to go. I am GOOD TO GO! I love my new car, and I love it that much more because this shopping experience was so professional and straightforward. The dealership has great selection, very competitive pricing and wonderful service from sincere and committed people. You should definitely check out these great KIAs; and when you do, I strongly recommend that you see these guys. Our salesperson, Ben Braunstein, was outstanding. He knows his product, listens to the customer (and my wife and I had different hot buttons!) and is very, very personabl and upbeat. He answered all our questions and gave us a clear idea of what we might like and most importantly what fitted our budget.
