There is an ease with Colby that makes him instantly likeable. After speaking with Colby I found his knowledge of the Volvo S60 T5 to be insurmountable to that of any Car & Driver enthusiast. Not before long we were taking a test drive with Jeff Long. Jeff had us feeling relaxed and welcome as we talked during the test drive. After returning to the dealership we found ourselves making a deal for our new Volvo. We were offered a good price on our trade in vehicle and Colby got us to the monthly payment that we wanted. We then met with, Finance Manager, Al who took the time to go over the paperwork with us and answer any questions that we had. The next day when we went to pick up our car we found it to be prepped and ready to go. This is when we met Dave Long who asked if we were happy with our purchase and overall experience. Dave took the time to get to know us and before we left we felt like a member of the Long family. My wife and I came upon Volvo of Edison by chance while on a trip. This is our first Volvo and if there is another it will be purchased from a Long dealership and hopefully Colby Whipple. More

We couldn't have been more pleased with our experience at Volvo of Edison. We have always been Toyota/Honda owners so when it came time to buy a new car we were pretty reluctant to look at other makes and m Volvo of Edison. After 3-4 months of car shopping (and countless bad customer service experiences at a dozen dealerships of every type) we decided to look at Volvo's. From the moment we walked in the door at Volvo of Edison we knew this was going to be different. This was a company that took pride customer service. We had the pleasure of meeting Jeff Long who was informed, detailed, and very friendly. Jeff waked us through the safety features of the 2012 XC60 with great detail. At no point was there any pressure to buy or the typical "sales guy" routine that plagued our search thus far. We had a ton of questions and Jeff was informed and patient with each of them. When it came time for my wife and I to discuss our finances, Jeff politely excused himself to allow us our privacy. We decided to purchase the XC60 with every bell and whistle that could come with it and we are thrilled that we did. When we came back to pick up the car Jeff introduced us Al Wund who handled the finance part. Al was prepared, walked us through all of the paperwork and did so very efficiently. Jeff then introduced us to Andrew Levy who demonstrated all of the features of the car. We happily drove away in our brand new Volvo having had one of the most exemplary customer service experiences we ever had. After 20 years of owning Honda's and Toyota's I couldn't imagine driving anything else. After 1 month with our new Volvo, we are a Volvo family for life. I highly recommend visiting Volvo of Edison. Being from out of state, we were greeted by a pleasant friendly gentleman who met us at the Port and drove us to the dealership. Once there, the process was the quickest most efficient experience we've had in 40 years of personal car buying. No drawn out pitches, just here's what we discussed and your options for additional coverage. Highly recommend taking out the Tire Protection if you drive the Jersey end of Palisades Parkway. We hit a pothole on our drive home that totally blew out a tire! There was no hassle or hesitation in getting the tire replaced. We alerted Colby to what had happened. Volvo of Edison was completely responsive in working with our local Volvo dealership. Al Lund helped to see that all our coverage/protection plan documents were pushed through quickly to cover the claim. Thanks to all we are now enjoying our ride! More
Volvo of Edison is the only dealership I have leased through twice and plan on returning to in the future. They took a normally annoying and daunting process and actually made it enjoyable! Great experience overall. I inquired online about a used car and received a prompt response. They had the car in stock and we scheduled a test drive. Robert Eberbach and Colby Whipple made me feel right at home. I was interested in VOLVO due to its reputation for safety and reliability. The dealer experience was very pleasurable from the very beginnin home. I was interested in VOLVO due to its reputation for safety and reliability. The dealer experience was very pleasurable from the very beginning where the parking attendant greets you and the salesmen were very unintimidating, which I find rare. They actually smile, are cleanly dressed, friendly and knowledgeable: a model for any customer service experience. The comfortable waiting area was very accomodating. The best part was the test drive. They don't need to say anything there, the car speaks for itself. History of safety from the invention of the seat belt, invention of the side door airbag, etc. The 2.5 Turbo engine I chose is still around. My S80 has it as do many V70 wagons and S60s. Awesome engine, the VOLVO symbol stands for iron. Great dealer, great car, way to go to the Long family of Edison. More
