I purchased a brand new vehicle in July 2019 and at the time of purchase, was promised two things by the then GM (Darius): 1. I could bring my car into the dealership once every two months for a free car cleaning, 2. The purchase of the car came with a 10K mile or 1-year service for free. I did not have a special relationship with Darius (former GM) and this is what was promised to motivate me to make the sale. So I took the plunge and thought, wow they are going the extra mile. I love that. Within 5 months post-purchase, Darius left for another dealer and along with him, went his promise despite Darius saying that his former team would take care of us. He failed to mark our files for these promises and when I presented all the communication exchanges with him to current management (Anthony) and the owner (Michael), they refused to honor it because I did not explicitly have the promises in writing. Admittedly, that's my fault and I will take a lesson from that, but the communication exchange clearly insinuates and supports what I'm saying was promised at the time of sale. Still, they chose not to honor them and offered instead a discount off of future services. It disturbs me to be promised things upon purchase and not have them honored. It leaves me feeling conned. It's just a disgusting way to operate a business. Good luck keeping clients coming back. I would avoid at all costs. Many other dealers operate with much higher integrity. Not worth the headache. This dealership was the worst car buying experience of my life and continues to be . Let’s start here I drove 2 and a half hours to buy this car . That I was told over the phone was certified and I have proo life and continues to be . Let’s start here I drove 2 and a half hours to buy this car . That I was told over the phone was certified and I have proof it was listed as certified on there website I’m also nervous because they told me it still had power train warranty and they’ve lied about a lot of things wouldn’t put this past them . I drive all the way down at the end about to sign papers they tell me it’s not come to find out get all the way home car needs new tires bubbles in sidewalls and two cracked rims . Was told by the business manger the car was certified originally but couldn’t be now because of the price drop .Complete BS. The sold me a car on the day of March 21st and they charged me sales tax and registration fees which are over 1000$ . In the state off mass you need the title to register the vehicle . They refuse to send me the title . Mind you the day of signing there telling me there registering the car . I have been without a car and this dealership is unbelievable I spend over 30,000$ at this place . They are very dishonest and have treated me like I’m so terrible person when all I need is my sales tax and my title . They told me over the phone they were going to rip my title up and throw it in the trash . Also day of signing my sales man comes up to me right away saying it has a cracked windshield . Called in to talk to rick over a week ago and he was out selling a car but couldn’t just pop my title in the mail and finish our deal . I’ve been without a car and this dealership refuses to help me . You would think a Volkswagen dealer would get in trouble for false advertisement . I actually thought a Volkswagen dealer could never do someone like this. More
Preowned VW Toureag Purchase My overall customer experience was five stars. Dealt with Drew Stewart (Sales) and Rick (Finance Mgr) Purchased a mint low mileage 2012 Toureag that My overall customer experience was five stars. Dealt with Drew Stewart (Sales) and Rick (Finance Mgr) Purchased a mint low mileage 2012 Toureag that was an excellent value for all options in the SUV. Drew was very knowledgable, friendly and understanding of exactly what I was looking for in a preowned VW. Rick was a pleasure to deal with financing my purchase and also very friendly, knowledgable and not aggressive in trying to sell any unnecessary warranties/ protection plans. I did purchase a extended 3 year vehicle protection plan and a key warranty at a very reasonable price as repair costs on a 8 year old Toureag can be quite expensive. Drew and Rick were the ultimate duo to deal with in purchasing or leasing a new or preowned VW car or SUV. Five star customer treatment from start to finish of transaction and look forward to working with VW Service in event the SUV needs any repairs, as I invested in an excellent form of insurance, a 3 yr 36K mile extended warranty. On a scale of 1 to 10 for overall customer satisfaction, they both deserve the top rating of course based on my customer experience, a "10" hands down !! I look forward to my next purchase when replacing my third car with Drew and Rick in the near future ! More

He made the whole process very easy. Jeff Isaac was the sales consultant who implemented the administrative and financial details and monitored the required safety check by the service department. Jeff was very knowledgeable and professional and a pleasure to work with. Awful experience, terrible car I bought a certified preowned car from Jeff Issacs at Open Road. It was quickly clear something was very wrong with the car. The car was in and out of I bought a certified preowned car from Jeff Issacs at Open Road. It was quickly clear something was very wrong with the car. The car was in and out of there service department 6 times, It’s was never fixed, and I wasted a great deal of time going back and forth to the dealership, When they should have know the car was not fixed. Jeff had no power to help me, and his managers Greg Mushailov and Elgin Swift were useless, they would not return calls or emails or even able to make eye contact the many times I was there. Darius Mayfield the recent hire manager of the dealership was also useless, admitting there was something serious wrong with the car, they were unable to fix it, and there was nothing the dealership was willing to do. I ended up losing 17 grand trading the car in. This team should be avoided, and open road should embarrassed by its staff. More

Sure, you’ll get the initial call back, but if you’re looking for a creative solution, this is not the place. Beautiful facility that is convenient and well maintained, but that rent can’t be cheap, so Open Road does a great job training and seeing to it that service and sales personnel all maximize the drive for higher profit margins. Pretty tricky, but again with a revolving door of service and sales prospects, don’t expect to get the time of day unless money is no object for you. To that, their vehicle prices seem competitive, but ONLY buy something with warranty coverage or you’ll be in for a world of hurt at the service check out window. Out of town with a problem? Good luck! Their insatiable drive for profit creates a parts replacement vs. a mechanical diagnosis approach. Eventually they may get it right, but that’s a lot of time and money- especially when they charge 3x for basic services and try to replace brand new components on you.. Be prepared to grab your wallet and RUN! With VWs new warranty program, Open Road’s approach may actually work out for them, but this transition to a warranty based service philosophy delivery model will take time before they can purge New York from older inventory requiring repairs. Then, when you’re willing to sacrifice value for convenience and work a trade, you’re completely out of luck. They are not interested and will prove that via a lowball value for your car..even one that had been properly VW maintained for its entire life. Compared to their own online trade value calculator, expect to be offered only 1/3 of what they themselves calculate as value. Crazy. Go elsewhere, this is not their business model. The Audi sister shop, at least, had salesmen who’d make an effort. But then again, those guys charge a flat 790,00 Admin Fee on top of every deal. Know that going in, as it is not initially revealed. Is VW the same? Who knows, but be alert. Other than that, nice people! I wish them well and they might succeed once cars become full appliances like refrigerators or air conditioners. Until then, tread lightly! More
