Also the pricing was better than any other dealer in NJ. No market adjustment was the highlight. Daughter had fun with all the festive decors. More

My wife and I went to VW Bridgewater 3 weeks ago, were greeted by J. one of the managers. I stated my purpose for buying an atlas cross sport SE with Tech. and the pricing I'm looking for. The salesman D. greeted by J. one of the managers. I stated my purpose for buying an atlas cross sport SE with Tech. and the pricing I'm looking for. The salesman D. who stated that he wasn't a salesman (first lie) said that he will show me the car Im looking for. liked the car, had my wife test drive it. When it came to talking about numbers, the dealership had priced the car $8k and some change higher than the manufacture and other dealerships value, claiming that the price is marketing adjustment. Tried to negotiate and asked me if I had a trade in, I offered my wife's car H. SF Sport which we still owe on it but we have an Equity of $6500. they didn't like the negotiating price I asked for, I left J. the manager a piece of paper with the price I'm looking for, the lease payment, the downpayment and the asking price for my trade in and said to J. the manager to call me if he wants to make a deal. I went to another VW dealership to make the same deal which the other dealership are friends with Bridgewater dealership who exchange cars with them, and they told me they would love to make the deal but they would have to contact bridgewater dealership to get the car from them and exchange it with another car on their lot. I went home waiting for the second dealership response. While waiting for the response, J. the manager from VW bridgewater called me and said that he will make the deal with me which states the following: $5k downpayment, will take my wife's car for $15k as I asked and will give me the money of difference in equity of my wife's car and will make the payment on the new car for $530 as I asked. Immediately I went to him with my wife and started to make the deal with the manager J. and his cousin the corporate manager P. They showed me in writing the deal that he was about the make with me. We stepped into the financial manager E. office and started signing the papers. When it came to signing off my wife's car. Both managers asked me to go to the accounting office downstairs and pay $5000 the downpayment for the car. When my wife questioned about why should we pay cash from our pocket when they're supposed to take it from the equity of the car that was supposed to be given to us ($6500), I asked J. and P. you probably will make us pay the downpayment from our pocket and will issue a check to us for the difference of they money which after fees, tax registration it should be $8500, which is $3500 the left over from the car equity after fees, tax and registration plus the $5000 that we are about to pay from our debit card correct? they both said yes. However when were about to sign in a private room with the financial manager E. I stopped and asked when are we going to receive the check for $8500, he claimed that he doesn't know anything about it. I told him to call the corporate manager P. and confirm with him the deal that we already talked about 15 mins before entering his room. When P. was confronted he said no check to be issued to us, it will go toward the new car. I said to him: "you're taking our money $8500 + the $5000 that we already paid as a downpayment for the car, and ask us to pay 50% of the value of the car over 48 months contract and still keep the payment $530??? each $1K= $28 less in payment so with $13500 total downpayment (even though the original agreement was only $5000 downpayment) the payment should be $292/ month. I said the deal is off, the corporate manager P. started to yell at me saying that we will never find another deal better than this. My wife and I left the dealership after we canceled the deal and we refunded the $5k downpayment. Went to another dealership, got the car that my wife wanted, only better because it was a trim higher (SEL), with $5k downpayment and the payment we wanted. went today to show the deal to manager J. and how absurd they were, he cussed me out and told me: "Go F***k yourself". Summary for this detailed story: dishonest, unprofessional, liars, thieves and don't do business with them. there are better ones More
With my awful credit and been to a bunch of places. I could get a car for less then $700 a month. They helped me to get a car with a much less payment so I could have a safe car for myself and kids. Wish I could give 0 stars. Confirmed they had the models I was interested in. Arrived at the dealership and both models had between 7-10k in “market adjustments”. Like previously mentioned in other reviews I was interested in. Arrived at the dealership and both models had between 7-10k in “market adjustments”. Like previously mentioned in other reviews at no time did the website or conversation with sales staff prior to coming in that the MSRP “Internet price” isn’t accurate. After walking around for 15 minutes I was finally approach but a salesperson who confirmed they all were marked up and “every dealership is doing that”. Funny I left immediately from their dealership to another local VW and somehow paid MSRP with only $800 in preinstalled extras(Road side and first aid kit and bumper and pedal guards) which honestly aren’t terrible. So no sir they aren’t all doing that. All in all it shows in the rating that I’m not the only one left with a bad taste in their mouth after interacting with this dealer. More
Awful experience. They sent me an offer on a car. I called to confirm and it was confirmed by them before I went there. I go there and the Sales Mgr immediately adds $4k to the price as a market adjus called to confirm and it was confirmed by them before I went there. I go there and the Sales Mgr immediately adds $4k to the price as a market adjustment. This was never mentioned in the offer or when I called. Why discount a car and then add a market adjustment. Why not just discount it to $10 to get more people there and then add a market adjustment of $50K when they get there. Shady business practice. More
