We had a very pleasant experience with Chris and Open Road Mazda of Morristown! Never thought we would walk away from Honda but we did! We traded our Honda Odyssey for a Mazda CX- 9. We wanted a crosso Road Mazda of Morristown! Never thought we would walk away from Honda but we did! We traded our Honda Odyssey for a Mazda CX- 9. We wanted a crossover style (not a truck) that would seat 7 passengers. Honda has no vehicle like it. We thought the Honda Pilot was too boxey and too much like a truck. So it was the Mazda CX-9... great CAR, great service and great price!! We highly recommend this dealership....and...ask for Chris.... More

When I came into the dealership I was greeted by Ri called in I was put on the phone with Mike and he was very helpfull and truthfully about the car. When I came into the dealership I was greeted by Rich in sales, I told him I did not want to be rushed or pushed into buying today. After he pulled the car around I the realized that the car was like a brand new one that Mike was telling me about on the phone. After the test drive we came back into the dealership to be greeted by Mike, He said I told you the car was like brand New, I told him my son was going to love it. The process was so easy it was like I was a family member! Thanks again Rich, Mike and John you will see me again for my other sons car in a year. More

So after shopping for a new vehicle for 3 months I finally found a dealer that was more then ready to service my needs. The facility was state of the art, and the amount of attention that I received w finally found a dealer that was more then ready to service my needs. The facility was state of the art, and the amount of attention that I received was unreal. I was greeted with complete confidence by my sales person Chris. He offered me some refreshments and then continued to escort me to their new car lot. It's the first time in my many years of car buying that a sales person didn't try to sell me a car, BUT tried to help me buy one. The entire process was smooth, and met with the sales manager (Isaac). He was very professional and motervated to make my entire experiance a great one. The finance manager ( jonathen ) was informative and fair. I got a great deal and have referred all my friends and family to them. It's strange that I grew up in Wayne, nj and was not treated well at the Mazda in the Wayne location. They should be called Wayne " bait & switch " Mazda. Thank you open road, I'll be seeing you for all my service needs. Rachel More

I start his RX-8 every now and again, but since the cold weather, I have found the vehicle getting hard to start. I bought this battery at another Mazda dealer earlier this year, and when I spoke to Sita on the phone, she told me to bring the receipt incase the battery was bad and they needed to give me another one. When I got there, I spoke with their warranty department about the procedure to get a new battery. He told me they would have to test it, and if it is bad, they would give me a new one. He looked at the receipt and told me there would be no co pay if it was bad, since the battery was purchased in April. He went into their shop and got the tester, and the result said it needed to be charged. During this time I spoke to the parts counter person and he said if a new one was needed, he had one in stock, and to speak to their service manager, Sita. She told me they could charge the battery for me and retest it, but it would take a few hours to do since the battery was cold and would need time to warm up otherwise it might leak. They also advised me to keep a trickle charger hooked up to it in the garage so it would not go dead from just sitting. I told her I have a charger at home and would charge it up, and if it didn't start the car, I would bring it back to test again. I brought the battery home and charged it for 2 hours and the car started right up! From now on, I am going to bring my car there for service, since everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. More
I purchased a 'pre-owned' vehicle from Open Road, while I was actually there with my sister who was also looking for a car. The price of the car in my price range and it had all of the options I wanted. was actually there with my sister who was also looking for a car. The price of the car in my price range and it had all of the options I wanted. When I was first there, the customer service was phenomenal, especially for a Saturday. I was impressed with the dealership so I purchased a car from them. I picked up the car on Halloween, although I wanted to wait for after the storm that was expected in NJ. As a courtesy to the salesmen (whom I wanted to get the commission in October), I went in the storm to pick up a new car. When I picked up the car I was immediately sent to the finance manager who sold me the extended warranty with the promise that he would order me a second key for the car. It was the first time I purchased a car and was only given one key (that should have been a clue). After working with this gentleman for about 45 minutes and having the promise of a second key for buying the warranty. They pulled my car around. In the snow storm I was given the key from the warmth of the showroom and told that my car was out front. When test driving the car I asked a lot of questions about different features, especially the AWD feature, and the salesman told me that they would go through everything in detail when I picked the car up. On this snowy day, none of the sales people wanted to leave the showroom to show me the features of the car. When I said that they were supposed to show me, they brushed me off by saying that they already showed me during the test drive. I got the car home after sliding about 6 times in an AWD car in a snowstorm, I had, and still have, no idea about how the AWD works. The issues I have with a car that I picked up about 6 weeks ago are: 1. OK, back to the Key. When I picked up the car they said that I would have to make an appointment to have the new key cut for the car. About a week later I made the appointment to have the key made and showed up at the scheduled time. I waited for about 20 minutes before my name was even called. When they finally took my car to look at it, they spent about 1 1/2 with the car and came back and said that there was something wrong with Mazda's computer system and they couldn't program the key. After I complained that I had been there for a long time and they should have told me they couldn't do what they promised, I took the key they had cut (they key they gave me was a valet key, not the one with the alarm I thought they would give me)and started to leave. As I was walking out the door, the receptionist told me NOT to put the 'new' key in the ignition, otherwise the car wouldn't start at all. I called to complain about the key incident and was told that they didn't promise me an alarm key but a 'key' and that's what they gave me. Then the manager offered to have someone from the dealership pick my car up at my office and program the key and then return the car instead of giving me a loaner car as I asked. Since I don't have 2 hours in my day to wait for Open Road to actually provide the service they promised, I still do not have a second key for my car. 2. The next issue with the car is the tire. The day after I picked the car up the indicator light on the dashboard that shows there is low tire pressure came on. I immediately put air in the tires and the light went off. The next day the light was back on. When I went to the dealership about the key issue, I had them look at the tires to see why the light was on. They looked at the tires and plugged a hole that was in a tire. They should have replaced the tire, but told me that wasn't in the warranty. 3. The other night the car wouldn't start after I got gas. The gas station attendant was able to jump start the car so I could get home. The next day I went to Sears and was told the battery was bad. I purchased a new battery for $130, which is very annoying since I've only had the car for 6 weeks. I thought about utilizing my 'warranty' for the battery, but was told the warranty didn't cover normal maintenance. In a nutshell, I purchase a certified pre-owned vehicle from Open Road Mazda and have had more trouble in the 6 weeks that I've had than I have had in all of the years with any of my other cars. More
I have a Mazda cx9 that was making odd noises when making turns. It was an intermittent problem. The service manager went on a road test with me and was able to diagnose the vehicle during the road test. I w turns. It was an intermittent problem. The service manager went on a road test with me and was able to diagnose the vehicle during the road test. I was told the part would come in on Thursday; I drop the car off on Monday and was given a loaner car at no charge. To my surprise the car was finished, washed and vac'd (looked amazing) today on Wednesday, early! I have never been treated better, I was greeted quickly and spoke to a very profession lady named Melissa and then the service manager (Sita) also joined our discussion of my concern. This was by far the best experience I have had at a Mazda dealer yet!!!!!Never going back to Wayne Mazda or Maxon Mazda again!! More
Put their open road license plate holder on without my permission, then when I complained and had them take it off, they damaged the OEM bolts and had to put cheap aftermarket bolts on. They said their pa permission, then when I complained and had them take it off, they damaged the OEM bolts and had to put cheap aftermarket bolts on. They said their paperwork allows them to do this. Devious and unethical. Service manager was no help. This service department is every nightmare you've ever heard about big dealerships,"AVOID AT ALL COSTS" More
