We had dome some price shopping online before coming a knew how much we wanted to pay for the car. Clark and his manager quickly came to an agreeable price, only $120, more than we expected. The entire process took about three hours from start to finish. The longest wait was waiting for our insurance card to come. I would definitely recommend this store to first time buyers. They were great. More
My daughter and I had such a good experience last week, I brought my wife. I usually don't like buying cars. This is actually okay. I really like the store, the car, and my salesman. The only downside was th brought my wife. I usually don't like buying cars. This is actually okay. I really like the store, the car, and my salesman. The only downside was they didn't have the car I wanted in stock. Granted, I was being really picky, but I want what I want. They were able to find the car out-of-state and agreed to transported to Morristown within a day or two. Other than that, everything was perfect... And even that wasn't really a big deal. I just had to wait two days to get my car. It was worth the wait. More
I walked into the showroom wishing to test drive a Mazda 6 Grand Touring. The manager told me they didn't have one i could test drive but expected me to buy one that would come in in two days. He then pro 6 Grand Touring. The manager told me they didn't have one i could test drive but expected me to buy one that would come in in two days. He then proceeded to tell me that he won't bargain and expects to make a few hundred dollars more than what the sticker price is. What a jerk! I went to Prestige Volvo and bought a "Used" (1900 miles) Volvo S60 for less. More
I shopped my new Mazda CX 5 entirely by phone and email which is one pro of this dealership. I don't believe in entering a dealership outside of test driving and taking delivery. Some dealers gave me a har which is one pro of this dealership. I don't believe in entering a dealership outside of test driving and taking delivery. Some dealers gave me a hard time about not coming in but this one was OK about it. I did my homework ahead of time and knew exactly what I wanted. I was planning on buying this car from Mazda of Wayne but did not like the vibe I was getting from the sales departments managers. I called four dealers for the best price and this place gave me the best price. I dealt with John Q in sales. It was overall an OK experience with a few bumps. I was told that I needed to put down a depost to hold the car at the quoted price and I needed to do it before the end of the month. Also, even though the car was said to be super popular and my color choice the most popular one, there was only one in my color in the whole place??? True or not true, guess I'll never know. I decided to go ahead with it and was also told that the deposit would allow me to pick up the car whenever I wanted while still holding the original price. I made sure to get EVERYTHING in writing. Good thing, because two days later, John told me that the price was contigent upon my picking up the car by July 31 and that other people were looking at it so when was I coming in to pick it up. Needless to say, I was not happy so I immediately forwarded him his correspondence stating that once I put the deposit down the price was held and the car was mine, he backed off with an apology. Once financing went through, I contacted the finance manager for a list of all fees to be sent to me. I haggled over the prep and etch fee which I would not pay. They decided to take the difference off the price of the car after going back and forth. At one point John had the general manager email me a lengthy explanation as to exactly what these fees are (thanks for that, btw. That fall off the parsnip truck was painful). This was just after John told me they would waive the etch and prep fees but not the doc fee which I felt was high at $400. Paul, the gen mgr called it reasonable and lower than many other dealers but that it was probably going up to $500 soon. Ouch! My suggestion would be to get the doc fee up front and negotiate it off the price of the car before going through finance. Once I insisted on a bottom line #, I was ready to take delivery. Came in on a Monday morning about 9:30 am. Though the store was virtually empty, we were not greeted. I called beforehand to make sure John Q was there but was told he had a tire blowout and that his associate Bryan would be taking care of us. The guy at the desk told me Bryan was gassing up the tank and pointed to his desk across the room. Not the best show of service or politeness. Bryan however was a doll, very polite, professional, and friendly. He took care of us and answered all our questions. John Q never showed up though I was told when I called that he would be in shortly? He also never bothered to call later. Maybe he didn't make it in afterall? The general manager Paul also never stopped by to introduce himself even though we were there for well over an hour. Maybe he wasn't in? Customer service doesn't seem like much of a priority here, the way selling cars fast is. Jonathan in finance was a jerk. No other way to put it. He was apparently miffed to the nth degree about our not purchasing an extended warranty and was very unpleasant to be around. Perhaps his crappy attitude is a ploy to make people uncomfortable enough to just agree to something they don't want. Though I made it crystal clear before ever coming in that I was sticking to my bottom line number, he actually said "if you total your car, it's all on you". It was quite rude and unprofessional but I decided to let it go at the time. His hissy fit is not my problem. Would I buy another car from this dealership? It remains to be seen, I wouldn't rule it out but I would really like to see an overall bettering of customer service and perhaps a new finance manager, one with actual people skills. I would however request Bryan as my sales associate. More

We had a great price on the car via True Car that they matched after some back and forth. We bought the car while moving from NYC so they held it for us after signing for a few days and then delivered it directly to our house in Berkeley Heights, which was very convenient. The car came via swap on Long Island and got a small chip in the grill while in transit. They are promising to replace it with a new grill but no word yet on that part. Christian was very responsive during the sale and we liked working with him. The car is great too. More

He made me feel totally comfortable, and really gave the impression that he wanted to earn my business, not just get my money. He was considerate and encouraging, and the end result was a great deal for all involved. I am so very happy with my car (2009 Nissan Versa), and thoroughly impressed with the treatment and service that I received. I would highly recommend this dealership, and specifically Chris Pecoraro, to any friends or family looking to purchase a car. Thanks again Chris, you are the best!!!! :) - Hannah Parsons More
I had no idea this dealer existed until I started looking for somewhere else to go to besides Wayne (horrible). This service department is terrific. The staff is so friendly and they explain everything in for somewhere else to go to besides Wayne (horrible). This service department is terrific. The staff is so friendly and they explain everything in a way that makes it easy to understand. They did not try to rip me off. They told me things I need to fix now and what could wait a while. Refreshing change from other service stations. Jack was excellent. He gave me a free courtesy car and took care of all the hassle with my extended warranty. Sita was a sweet heart. She helped me install baby seats for my little ones. What a kind group of people. So easy to work with, so professional. More
I had been looking for a SUV for the last few months before settling on the Mazda CX5. I first went to a large Mazda dealership to check it out. I thought they would be my best bet for price and servi before settling on the Mazda CX5. I first went to a large Mazda dealership to check it out. I thought they would be my best bet for price and service. Well I was totally wrong. I was blatantly lied to numerous times by them. They were so unprofessional and treated me so poorly, I decided to go to another dealer. "I thank God I did". At Open Road, my salesperson Matthew Siswandi greeted us in a very professional manner and did not treat my husband and I like we were the "new kids" on the block. He treated us with respect and was upfront and honest. He stated he did not have the car I wanted but would within a few days. Well he made good on his promise (something the other dealer would not have done). Matthew did not try to sell us more than we wanted in a car and I respect that. There was no game playing. Although when the car came in there were no car mats, I was promised they would be in in a few days. Well they did come in within two days of purchasing the car. In fact Matthew gave me the cargo tray for this minor inconvenience. NOW THAT IS WHAT I CALL SERVICE! He also put all the mats in the car for me. Thanks Matthew! We actually spoke to the General Manager when we were there (forgot his name) and he was also very professional and very low-key. These are the kind of people I want to deal with especially when making a big purchase. I expect to have a good relationship with Open-Road Mazda while owning my car. Thanks! More

I came in with a goal in mind and Matthew and Isaac did everything they could to accommodate my needs. I could not be happier with the entire process. Not once did I get the 'shady car salesmen' feeling. You can tell that they really care about doing everything possible to make the process as easy as possible. I even forgot a few items in my trade-in and Matthew was quick to contact me so that I could some pick them up. I highly recommend this dealership. More
