I was looking for a used car that they were selling on the internet. Their price were competitive with others until I visited the dealership and found out they charge an additional $895 for dealer prep. the internet. Their price were competitive with others until I visited the dealership and found out they charge an additional $895 for dealer prep. That' was $895 more than I expected to pay and they would not negotiate at all. So they price their cars at the competitive price just to lure you in and jack the price up with the "everybody pays the dealer prep", just not me. I wasted my time. More
Got a call from Sharon saying she had a 2013 Pathfinder in stock - exactly the one I was looking for. She gave me a reasonable price so I left the deposit. Next weekend I came by to pick up the car. Looked in stock - exactly the one I was looking for. She gave me a reasonable price so I left the deposit. Next weekend I came by to pick up the car. Looked at the car, everything was good. Purchased the car after a somewhat longish wait of about 30 minutes (they were a little busy) no complaints. Everything went smooth, no surprises! Took the car home. This is where the paperwork nightmare started! Bought the car around 1/5. On 1/21 I still didn't see my permanent plates from the DMV and my temp plates were expiring 1/27. Called dealership a few times, no one called me back. Same happened next day. No one really cared about resolving my problems. Then I got fed up and tried to get the manager on the phone as my temp plates were expiring 1/27 he didn't call me back either. Must be that excellent customer service!! Finally got someone on day 3 after refusing to wait for callback and said I would hold. Was assured plates would make it here in time. 1/27 came and went, temp plates expired and no permanent plates. Police officer stopped by my home to tell me my car had expired plates and can't be parked on the street any more. If he sees it on the street it will be impounded. If he sees me on a road it will be towed. He said you need to find a private property to store the car on which I don't have. Fortunately my friend had a garage spot he let me use. It is 1/28 so again I call the dealership and after leaving messages no one calls me back and this continues for 2 days. On 3rd day I said I would hold and finally got my salesman who told me I can store my car at their dealership until the plates come in. How do I get to work? No one was going to pay for a rental car. A week after my temp plates expired I finally got my permanent plates. I decided to check with the DMV on who did what. DMV said the plates were requested 1/21. Interesting... That was the day I started calling the dealership about my plates... What the heck were they doing between the time I bought the car and 1/21? I called 1-800-nissan-1 and complained about the issue and they gave a courtesy credit of $150 for my troubles. Last week I got my title. Here we go again!! The dealership didn't put the bank that gave me the loan on the title as a lien holder. Bank was not happy. After 2 days of calling the dealership with no callback again (I should have learned to not do this by now but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt) I decided to ask my bank to fix this. They said to mail them the title and they will take care of it. Mailed the title to my bank, they have received and are fixing it with the DMV. Luckily this is the last piece of document I need from this dealership. NEVER AGAIN! More

I recently decided to purchase a new vehicle and visited my local Nissan of Hawthorne dealership. I thought I had in store a long, long painful negotiation ahead of me when deciding on a 2013 Altima. I have my local Nissan of Hawthorne dealership. I thought I had in store a long, long painful negotiation ahead of me when deciding on a 2013 Altima. I have been purchasing new cars since 1976, and know all the negative experiences that could be had with the car purchasing process. To my surprise and astonishment, their sales staff and GM Joe Yobi made this experience quite easy and pleasurable. I felt very comfortable with Joe right away and noticed the difference from how I was treated when I went to the highway Nissan dealers. Joe was up front honest during the entire transaction. I was able to get a great price on my trade in and actually got the monthly price and car I wanted with no run around. Once in a while people should take the time to document their positive experiences with a dealership, as it seems only the disgruntled take the time to write. All in all it was a seamless low pressure buying experience I would recommend. . More
The guys are Nissan of Hawthorne were very helpful in taking me out of my current financing of an older Pathfinder. They got me a brand new model to lease at a lesser rate that I had previously been paying, and the speed at which they did all this was amazing. They would have had the new car ready for me the same day if I were ready for it, but I still needed to clean out the old one. Overall, I had a great experience with Nissan of Hawthorne. More

We keep coming back to the dealership and Victor because we get the same thing every time, friendly courteous service and listening to what we say. We always strike a deal very quickly because there is no xxxxxxxx "selling", they give us their best price, which I have found fair every time and we make a deal, EVERY TIME!! No haggling, no xxxxxxxx!! That's the way I do business, and it is very refreshing that they do business the same way, and that is why we keep coming back. Victor is terrific, very personable and makes the whole experience a pleasure, not a chore. The sales manager, Ray, is great, again friendly, very personable and assists in every way possible to make the customer, my wife and I happy, and they succeed every time!! When our leases are up, I know we'll be back again! More

I went in one day to buy a car and everything went pretty well. All went well during the signing, although the paperwork was a bit unclear as to what exactly I was paying for. But everything went well on t well. All went well during the signing, although the paperwork was a bit unclear as to what exactly I was paying for. But everything went well on the sale date, however the post-sale experience and follow up was a nightmare. They gave me the standard 20-day temporary license plate, but they waited until 3 days before it expired (when I started hassling about not having them received them) to put in paperwork for my permanent license plate. Needless too say, my temp plates expired and my car sat in the driveway for a week exactly because I did not have my regular plates. It was very disappointing to see how irresponsible they were in getting the paperwork dones, especially after having everything go well during the sale. I wonder how long it would of taken them to put if the paperwork if I had not stared calling when I did. They kept blaming the DMV but when I called the DMV they told me that the paperwork was put in 3 days ago (which was 4 days after my temp plates expired). More
If you are shopping for a car, specifically a Nissan, please consider going to Nissan of Hawthorne. After so many horrible experiences with Nissan dealerships in the Bergen County area, this was such a please consider going to Nissan of Hawthorne. After so many horrible experiences with Nissan dealerships in the Bergen County area, this was such a pleasant surprise. We got the car for the price we wanted, no haggling, no hassle, NO GAMES. One dealership said a remote start would add $20 per month to the payment ($1200!!!), another wanted $600 for it. We found a model the color Jay wanted with it included from the factory. They gave me a price over the phone and it didn't change when I got there. When I asked about the $500 rebate I saw online, they gave it without trying to play games. The other dealerships we visited couldn't give us the same price. One dealership I called ticked me off when I told him I had a bad experience at another dealership - he asked where I lived and then assumed which dealership I had gone to (he was wrong, by the way). Another dealership I called told me that to add a remote start to the Altima S would add $20 per month (60 months) on to the payment - that's $1200 for a factor option that costs $325. Seriously?? When I called Hawthorne, I spoke with Sharon and apologized in advance that I was in no mood for games. She was completely understanding, gave me the perfect price and verified that the car I saw on their site did, in fact, exist and had everything I wanted (which was essentially a basic S model with the remote start). I showed up later that day and had a car in 2 hours. Everyone I encountered at the dealership was super friendly and I didn't get the creepy car salesman vibe from them at all. Buying a car should always be so easy... More
