This was the worst experience, I have ever had buying a car. I am 30 years old and they talked to me like I was some stuiped kid. I was somewhat pushed into buying the car. I was told numerous times, that car. I am 30 years old and they talked to me like I was some stuiped kid. I was somewhat pushed into buying the car. I was told numerous times, that the car had features that it didn't. Like a GPS. When I took the car for a test drive, the sales man told me that they don't leave the GPS DVD's in the car and therefor the GPS didn't work. I was like ok...I guess that makes sense. After deciding that the car was ok and as long as it had all the features I wanted it was a ok buy. I wasn't quite sold at that time so I put a deposit down. After a few days I had decided to purchase the car. I went back to the dealer and told them I want it. As they started drawing up the papers the price was $6,000.00 different that what I thought we agreed upon. After excepting the miss communication which the dealer stated was completely my fault, I decided to still purchase the car, for lack of better reasoning. I paid extra for the car to be certified by Nissan and felt I was putting a ton of money into a car that I haven't even fully purchased yet. When I got home I realized the car didn't have GPS. So I called the salesman and told him that. He told me he that it definitely should have it and he would look into it and call me back. Three days later I followed up with him and he said he hadn't heard back from some department that he was checking with. Anyways almost two weeks later and I called the salesman back. He stated no one returned his call and once again he was going to call me back. No one at Nissan of Hawthorne that has told me they would call me back has done so. The point of this is too inform anyone looking to purchase a car used or new not to do it from Nissan of Hawthorne LLc. They will yes you about anything but wont deliver. I felt strongly taken advantage of and am very unpleased about my purchase. More

From the moment I walked in I was greeted and offered a seat in the lounge. Luis and staff I thought to be very friendly, funny, and easy to talk to. My overall experience was excellent because we were able to come to a price we both saw as fair and could agree upon for the car that I ultimately wanted. I have priced Nissan Rogue SV AWD for a few months now and so far Hawthorne Nissan had the best price around and the friendliest staff! More
I have been doing business with Nissan of Hawthorne for almost 9 years and have always had a great experience but today's visit exceeded my expectations. My purpose for visiting the dealership was to obtai almost 9 years and have always had a great experience but today's visit exceeded my expectations. My purpose for visiting the dealership was to obtain more information on getting out of my current lease and into a new financed vehicle. Upon arriving I was pleasantly greeted by the manager Ray Foster which whom I have been doing business with for many years there at Nissan. Mr. Foster assigned Mr. Luis Berrios as my salesman. Mr. Berrios was very easy to talk to and was helpful in answering all my questions and concerns. Between the efforts of Mr.Foster and Mr. Berrios I actually ended up leaving the dealership with a beautiful new Altima that had even more features than I imagined at an unbelievably great price. It was an offer I absolutely couldn't refuse!! Mr. Berrios patiently took the time to go over all the features in the new vehicle and help me set up several of them. Overall, I am beyond satisfied with Nissan of Hawthorne. The dealership has improved greatly since being under new ownership. The new showroom is clean and comfortable. I look forward to seeing the rest of the remodeling. Without a doubt I would refer people to Nissan of Hawthorne. More
Just came from spending the afternoon at Hawthorne Nissan trying to purchase a vehicle for my father. This place exemplifies what is wrong with some dealerships as there is always a bait and switch routine trying to purchase a vehicle for my father. This place exemplifies what is wrong with some dealerships as there is always a bait and switch routine towards the end of the process. Joe the GM is the very reason I wouldn't purchase a car nor recommend this dealership to anyone. He came into the process and basically pulled the "this car won't last so we need to charge XYZ and you can take it or leave it". Bottom line is I've bought many cars over the years and some dealers have become a pleasure to work with. Hawthorne Nissan is a small dealership which doesn't warrant your time nor your hard earned money. I'll be gladly taking my business elsewhere... More
It began as a good experience but it went sour and it has only been thus so far. My sales representative made a deal with me and I came back to purchase the car, and he attempted to say that I never said I " only been thus so far. My sales representative made a deal with me and I came back to purchase the car, and he attempted to say that I never said I "wasn't" going to finance through them. I made it very, very clear that I was not and ensured before I left multiple times that I would receive the car at the price we negotiated even though I was not going to finance through them. I was there for a few hours talking to the manager and other people to try and get to the root of the problem. After a few days, I was able to purchase the car for the price that I was told. As I am now trying to receive my registration from the dealership, it has been a nightmare. I receive no phone calls back from anyone. I was working closely with someone in the finance department (who started the day I purchased my car) and he has been great up until now..as he wont return my phone calls or answer my extremely important question regarding information that he asked me to fill out concerning my registration. My temp registration now expires in 2 days and I don't have my new one yet, nor will I any time soon. There is also a receptionist named "Sharon" there who was extremely rude when I spoke to her on the phone the other day. Unfortunately, I have had a very unpleasant experience there. I should have looked at the reviews and noticed that they were poorly reviewed before buying my car there. I was planning on writing a better review because they worked with me concerning the price of the car (as I should have gotten the original price we negotiated from the start anyway considering it was all on paperwork) but now this whole registration process just did it in. I know it can be difficult, but all I ask for is a call back and someone to tell me whats going on. The receptionist today didn't answer the slightest of my question. She told me to call back on Monday, when my registration will be expired, to talk to someone. More
Deceptive Pricing on Internet. Whatever this Dealership quotes you have to add $900 for Used Car Preparation Fees and $500 for Internet fees. On top of that they will only honor Internet Pricing if you fin quotes you have to add $900 for Used Car Preparation Fees and $500 for Internet fees. On top of that they will only honor Internet Pricing if you finance through them. Very limited scope on negotiating on internet price. No Doubt their used vehicles are decent in terms of Mileage and year, I do not agree with reducing prices on the web and then inflating them with Additional Fees that other dealers don't charge. More
This dealership is a joke. The office or sales manager (whichever she is), Sharon, lacks basic people skills and knows nothing about customer service. I am not a NJ resident currently, but I did live in H (whichever she is), Sharon, lacks basic people skills and knows nothing about customer service. I am not a NJ resident currently, but I did live in Hawthorne which is how I knew about the dealership. I reside in NY so after purchasing a used vehicle I was given a 20 day out of area resident temporary license plate. My plate expired on March 25, 2013 and I was assured that my actual plates would be received at their office in time. It is now March 26th and my plates will not be delivered until March 28th. Sharon did nothing to accommodate me. I called multiple times not only to my original salesman, who advised he can do nothing for me beyond selling me the car, but also to the "office/sales manager" Sharon. Sharon told me 3 times she would call me back within a few minutes and hours went by without a returned call. After calling multiple times to speak with her they started screening my calls and sending me straight to her voice mail. Eventually I had to find an 800 number that went straight to their showroom to get her on the phone only for her to advise me they cannot give me a dealer plate OR a loaner. I now have a new car that has to sit in the drive way for a week until my plates have been delivered. Sharon is rude and unprofessional and after they receive that check from the bank you finance through they could care less about you More
I recently leased a Nissan Rogue SL with all the bells and whistles from Nissan of Hawthorne. If you’re reading this review you may be considering buying or leasing from them. My experience with Nissan and whistles from Nissan of Hawthorne. If you’re reading this review you may be considering buying or leasing from them. My experience with Nissan of Hawthorne.....the short answer is – RUN don’t walk to them to lease or buy. This is a small local dealership competing with the big highway Nissan dealerships. Nissan of Hawthorne is hungry for your business and will truly go out of their way to make you feel like a valued customer and give you a great deal (provided you do your homework). They are a good dealership dealing in a very competitive market. I think it takes a lot of courage to open a small operation off a highway. They definitely will earn my repeat business. Special thanks to the following staff- General Manager Joe who put up with my antics. Sharon the Internet Sales Manager who was prompt in returning calls and to Amond the Sales Associate who drove home with me to drive back a second car used for the transaction. We changed colors and cars during the transaction, Amond was patient. What impressed me most was his remark- “We want you to be happy with the car.” Do your homework before calling – Read the Edmunds Car forums and go to Truecar.com to get a sense of pricing and then call Nissan of Hawthorne. You will be impressed with their service and willingness to make a deal. I would love to see them do well and will definitely recommend them to family and friends. More
