Dishonest, slimy business practices I live in Hawthorne so I naturally went there to buy a new car. I,m usually not swayed to make decisions, so I told Louis that I wanted to test drive I live in Hawthorne so I naturally went there to buy a new car. I,m usually not swayed to make decisions, so I told Louis that I wanted to test drive a 2016 versa note . I test drove it and liked it so he then brings Jimmy Luna in to make the deal. He gave me a price about $50. Less than true car and said it's for the black one on the showroom floor, he also gave me a price for my trade in without even looking at it. I was a little suspicious at that point, but I told him my daughters friend was going to give me a price also so I would come back maybe on Monday. They called me Monday morning and I said I was coming in but I wanted to get a color other than black he said that was the last one. I said you had a lot full on Friday, not 2015's so he tried to scam me giving me a 2015 for a 2016 price. Ramsey Nissan gave me the same price as Hawthorne did but for a 2016 car. I think Ramsey Nissan is going to get a lot of business from the Hawthorne dealership. I've already told all of my family to stay away from Hawthorne Nissan! More

Worse Experience ever in my life My wife and i bought a 2013 preowned nownednissan from nissan in hawthorne. The first day we bought the car and took it home the transmission broke on the car. They lie saying it was something simple and it results in yhem putting a transmission. Then i take the car home after replacing the transmission and the check engine light comes back on. Another problem with the car. I went back after having the car for a week telling them to change my car and creg refuse to help me change the car. Lying telling me they were trying to reach the bank and they wouldn't get a response back but yet the same day i went to return the car i spoke to the bank. Ended up returning the car and filling a complaint at the local police department. Im calling head quarters tomorrow to file a compaint. And i will tell anyone i know not to ever go to these place. Jimmy and creg. Worst people to deal with in this bad experience my wife and i had at nissan in hawthorne. More
Awful, dishonest dealer: BBB rates them "F" Update: This dealer has an "F" rating on BBB So I saw a new car - a Nisaan NV200SV advertised for $16,994. It was a great price!! Its a small van Update: This dealer has an "F" rating on BBB So I saw a new car - a Nisaan NV200SV advertised for $16,994. It was a great price!! Its a small van for my business. I emailed the dealer and their Internet Specialist Christina Anello emailed me back with a happy, bouncy that the car was available and when did I want to see the car? This was around 2:30pm. I said 7:00pm and she emailed me back and said the appointment is confirmed. So I drove an hour north, on a night of heavy winds, and heavy rains, in the opposite directions of my home, to get this done. 7:20pm I get there. It's raining crazy. I'd rather be at home, but I need to get this done. When I got there, there was no Christina. Instead, I was greeted by Omar. I had to explain why I was there. He took 30 mins but eventually "found" the van after he confirmed the price, model and email exchanges between myself and Christina. After that we went to the look at the van. It was lodged behind another car. I had to ask him to do a test drive. So that took another 15 mins while he found the keys for the other car. We did the test drive, we came back to the office. That is when the bait-and-switch began. He walked back and forth once we were back in the showroom, and i was sitting across from him at his desk. Then he said to me that "there is a problem". Problem? What problem could there be, I was wondering. I had confirmed everything before coming here. Omar had looked it up again, when I came in an hour ago. What problem? I am thinking. Anyway, any problem there is, I am sure they will rectify. I was prepared to write a check and pay for the van right there. He said he could not offer me the car as discussed because someone "that morning" had placed a deposit on the van by phone, van unseen. I told him that Christina had confirmed the van was available that afternoon. But Omar was insistent that the only van actually available was the same van, in a different color. Ok, I thought. That's OK. I did not care about the color. Its a business van. Then Omar told me that the different color van was going to be $4,000 more. So there it was. The old bait-and-switch. Put a fabulous price on the internet. But once the customer comes in, give them a million excuses and charge them $4,000 for a different car. OK, I am no longer 21 and I know a scam when I see one. Too busy with life to sit and argue, I walked out totally disgusted angry at them, but also myself for allowing myself to be so trusting of a car dealer. Two days later, the van is still listed for sale. Perhaps there was a sincere error on the part of the dealership? If so, why did Omar not tell me upfront when I got there? Why waste an hour of my time and a test drive? Curious, I emailed the dealership again, using a fake name, and a different email. Sure enough, the same happy, bouncy email from Christina Anello comes in saying the van is indeed available and when would I like to come in? Finally I look on Yelp, and not surprising, they have a 1-star rating and there are reviews galore stating basically what I am saying. In further researching this, this seems to be a common tactic among many Nisaan dealers. Lesson learned: In the future, I will read reviews before engaging any dealer. No one called to apologies. No manager called me. No email apologizing. No nothing. Just business-as-usual at Nisaan of Hawthorne. Let them be. I would recommend you not reward them for these slimy business practices. More
Probably The Most Crooked Dealership In The NY Metro Area This "stealership" deserves to be shut down for good! I wouldn't recommend this dealership to my worst enemy. Not only was I paired up with a sale This "stealership" deserves to be shut down for good! I wouldn't recommend this dealership to my worst enemy. Not only was I paired up with a salesman ( Omar) who had no knowledge of the vehicle I was trying to purchase but completely disregarded my wishes on NOT running my credit prior to getting a trade in estimate on my current vehicle. Instead he went in the back with his finance guy ( Craig) and ran my credit without my authorization. How did we know you might be wondering... Well it so happens my wife has credit monitoring and receives emails everytime there is a change on her credit report. While sitting in his cubicle waiting for ( Omar) to come back she receives an email in regards to a hard inquiry to her credit report. Once this was brought to his attention he quickly deflected it and stated " we need to run your credit to get an accurate value on your trade in". We all know this to be a huge lie! Now we deal with his finance guy ( Craig) who is a real piece of work. Either he is completely incompetent or is just a crook regardless he needs to be investigated cause I highly doubt im the only one this has happened to. The numbers he was giving us were completely wrong and to top it off he was actually trying to justify his incorrect math. A vehicle listed at 20k , 8.2k for our trade in and we owed 6k on the vehicle so the correct amount to be financed before taxes was roughly 17.8k. He actually tried to tack on an additional 6k to the sale price and state "thats what you owe on your vehicle" meanwhile the trade in is 2.2k in our favor! Once he was pressed on this issue he became aggravated and extremely rude. Thats when I basically walked out of the dealership and vowed to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else. This dealership has already been reported to BBB as well as Nissan Corp. STAY AWAY!!! More

There are so many things i hate about this dealership. 1. I worked out a price for the car over the phone, they attempted to add another $1,600. 2. There were no mats in the car, they told me they would send them to me, naturally i never got them. I paid $125 on ebay to get them. 3. They gave me the car with one key fob, i told them i'm not coming in unless i get another (I got it). 4. They say the car had the 175 point inspection. If that's true why was the tire pressure light on when i got the car. The answer, there was a nail in the tire, I guess checking the tires is not 1 of the 175. 5. When i received the car the steering wheel made squeeky noises (I guess that's not 1 of the 175 either). I paid a mechanic $75 (to take out nail, lubricate steering wheel, and remove mismatched screw for license plate). 6. The registration was sent to dealership, i asked them to overnight it to me as the temporary was expiring. They wouldn't unless I paid $14. I waited in the mail and sent numerous emails and voice mails to Craig Datoli and Omar. Naturally, no one had the time to pick up or return the call. Although, i was told it was mailed. Finally after several weeks (and an expired registration) i called again and someone told me it was on her desk and had never been mailed. I got it several days later. The best gift you can give yourself is to stay away from these guys. I think these guys teach other car dealerships how to be shady. Oh, I tried calling Nissan corporate to complain, they were very nice to me, took my complaint and told me there was nothing they can do. More
Buyer, Beware I do not recommend this dealer. When purchasing a 2015 Altima, we were going to go to another dealer who proved to be awful in working with, so went I do not recommend this dealer. When purchasing a 2015 Altima, we were going to go to another dealer who proved to be awful in working with, so went to Nissan of Hawthorne instead. When we arrived Victor and Dragan (the manager) were responsive, attentive and most importantly, competent and communicative. About two days before the registration expired I called (I am from out of state and cannot drive to the dealer on whim) the dealership and asked about the status. I worked with Jimmy, who said "they've submitted the paperwork" but could not provide me a day of when the paperwork was submitted. Because they delayed submitting the paperwork timely, my temporary registration expired and I had not received the new one, therefore I could not drive my car. (Side note: I did not purchase a car for it to sit in a garage, I purchased it to commute to my two jobs). They never offered me anything for my inconvenience of taking taxis to get to work. I called frequently to obtain updates and all I received was "we're working it" or my favorite, "I'll call you back" which never happened. Then Amir reached out to me and I began to work with him, he was kind enough to provide me his cell phone and stated that I could call/text etc as often as needed. Therefore, I texted him daily to obtain updates. Finally, after 4 days of no registration, Amir responded to my text stating the registration went through and I could put my plates on (I had the plates from my previous car). He also wrote that the "registration is in the mail'. About 2 weeks go by and I still do not receive the registration or title documents, I figured the holidays slowed mail down, so I reached back out to Amir to inquire about my registration. He said he would check to see when it was mailed, and then a few days later he said "motor vehicle is saying more money is owed". He lied about mailing the registration nor followed up with me to let me know I owed more tax on the car. So I called back the next day and spoke with Jimmy. He said "you owe money for tax on the vehicle, I take credit cards over the phone". I asked when was the dealer going to let me know? He said "right now", I responded, so your customer has to make the effort to ensure she has paid everything? How is that right that your business withheld information from a customer? I requested a bill or receipt or some sort of proof of this and he responded"I can send it to you when you pay". What business charges a customer for a good or service without proof of either? He sent me an email of the bill and I paid it. I have since requested a receipt of the purchase and requested a receipt that all is paid on the car, still have not received either. I do not want another three weeks to go by and them tell me now I owe another amount. The selling of the car was painless, but the afterward has been nothing but frustrating, stressful and most importantly, unnecessary. The whole process should have been smoother More
