Clare dodge to the rescue I had brought my Durango in to be looked at a few days ago because the key-less ignition was acting up. Then on Friday I went to leave for work and my I had brought my Durango in to be looked at a few days ago because the key-less ignition was acting up. Then on Friday I went to leave for work and my car wouldn't start. I am a seamstress on the training base and had a class coming in to be fitted for uniforms and couldn't afford to be late. I managed to remove the start button and went to work. I called the service department. they offered to come pick it up, and then drop it off when they were done. sadly they didn't have access to the base but was still willing to meet me outside the gate to pick it up. I was more than very happy with the service I got when I purchased my car.... But now that I have had to go through the service department a couple of times. Words cannot express enough!! They are a prime example of how to treat customers. More

THIS IS THE WORST DODGE Service Department, I have ever visited!!! Very Poor Customer Service, totally dis-pleased on how things happen for my "first" experience here. First, I called to get my Dodge Duran visited!!! Very Poor Customer Service, totally dis-pleased on how things happen for my "first" experience here. First, I called to get my Dodge Durango serviced for an oil change, repair window, air filter and asked to find out why my truck requires a "jump-charge" after 4-5 days of not driving it. I stated on the phone that I need a regulator for my passage's side window (experienced this with my driver's side, that is how I knew), get to my appointment, I was told the part was not in and that it would be overnighted from Boston's warehouse, and was also recommended other issues by your mechanics. I was told that the part would be in tomorrow morning and that my truck would be the "first" one completed and I can pick it up the next day before or at 1000 (Saturday), however, I get there at 1000, my truck is not completed, I guess that message didn't get passed down. I go inside the service department, no one is at the counter, however 3 mechanics are in the back, very visible, I wanted until at least 2-3 minutes before I asked for "customer services" and were just stared at, asked again for "customer service", then I was finally told that she would be right back. The young lady did return, she was pleasant, she said my truck wasn't completed yet, she asked one of the mechanics, how long would it take to complete his truck, he said about an hour. So I departed and returned around 1pm, once I arrived, I completed the paperwork and "paid in full". My vehicle would not start. A young man did "jump-charge" my vehicle. Here are some negatives and suggestions of my visit, from my point of view: 1. Regulator part should have been "in-shock", ok understand not all items are in shock, however my vehicle should have been completed by 1000. That was my purpose of stating I need a regulator when I scheduled the appointment. 2. When arriving to pick up my vehicle, understand completely, the young lady had to step away, however the (3) mechanics could have stated, "she will be back to help you shortly", I shouldn't had to wait 2-3 mins and ask twice for customer service. Yes, I understand they don't work there, however it's only "right" to acknowledge a customer, that's waiting. 3. Lastly, yes, I understand I declined to purchase a battery from Clare Dodge, as recommended, (however my current battery is still under warranty from Advance Auto, so that is my reason for declining), my gripe with Clare Dodge is, when I picked up my vehicle, I feel that Clare Dodge, could have charged my battery overnight, so when I picked it up, it up, it was charged. Right after leaving, I took my vehicle to Advance Auto, and received a "battery test", battery checked out working with 11 volts. My gripe on this issue, was that a diagnosis test wasn't done on my vehicle, if it would have, it would have been noticed, that the battery is "good" and not recommended. As I stated above, this was one of my worst experience, in the past 13 years of having this vehicle, I really felt better customer service should have been provided, especially at a place, where $755 was spent and $309, in labor. I'm pretty sure this is my "first" and "last" time coming to Clare Dodge in Middletown, I'll be taking my business to another Dodge Service Department. Now I understand the 1.4 start marks on this rating chart. Very dis-pleased! Anthony Thomas More

This is the second car purchased at Clare of Newport, and both times it was a great experience, I've purchased new vehicles from other dealers, and from experience, this is by far dealer I've dealt with. From the minute I walked in the dealership everyone was extremely friendly, and they did everything that you would expect from a dealer. I will continue to purchase my cars from them. More
I dropped off my car on Friday night after it broke down. They replaced my serpentine belt and spark plugs for $400 (girl price), but then my car broke down the exact same way on my way home that night. We had visited other dealerships and never felt as welcome, listened to and attended to like the people at CLARE Jeep. The process in deciding on the vehicle, the test drive, the pricing and the purchasing were all easy and enjoyable. This was our first visit to this dealership and we won't go any where else having had such a positive experience. Our salesman, Mike Scallin, went out of his way to explain to my son about the different vehicles right down to the difference in pricing of gas/mileage, service and safety. When he was called away he immediately introduced us to another sales associate, John, who answered more questions. Peter in finance was tremendous in his explanation of the value of the car, the enhancement of the extended warranty and the final monthly payment. No corners were cut and when we left with a Jeep we felt confident in our purchase. The personal attention and authenticity of everyone was fantastic. This dealership exercised the values you often hear of in commercials but seldom witness in a car dealership. Thank you to everyone that participated in this sale, Mike, John and Peter. More

I have purchased many cars during my life. My experiences with various dealerships over time were good and bad. My experience at Clare is, by far, the best experience of them all. There was no hassle, no hard sales, no multiple trips to the "podium", and no delays... I walked into the showroom and then, less than 3-hours later, drove my new car away. You cannot get better than that. All the people that I dealt with were very pleasant and courteous. When it's time for a new vehicle down the road, Clare will be my first stop. More
