My family and I arrived at Al Serra South in search of a used car. Within a few minutes, we were introduced to Rick Buckner and were given full service. Rick asked us what our parameters were and posed qu used car. Within a few minutes, we were introduced to Rick Buckner and were given full service. Rick asked us what our parameters were and posed questions in a professional way to try and find out how we intended to use the vehicle. Rick knew the used car market and talked us through where we might have to compromise in order to meet our budget. Really, we had to compromise very little. Rick found the car that met our criteria right on the lot, showing us several alternatives in the process to make sure we felt comfortable about where we were in the market. Rick's manager, Sean Parker, came down on price to more than meet our top number--purchase price was $14,750 after we said we could not go above $15,000. We were happy that this price was also below Kelly Blue Book for our model and mileage in excellent condition. What happened next really amazed us. It turned out that in the process of purchasing the car, we discovered it was not quite in excellent condition. Al Serra's inspection team reported a small gouge on the rear left panel near the tail lamp. Very quickly, Sean Parker stepped up and said if we brought in the car the following week the body shop at Al Serra would work the issue at no charge and restore the car to excellent condition. Sean put the promise in writing. By the end of the following week, Al Serra South delivered. As far as I can tell, the left rear of our car is, indeed, in excellent condition. The teamwork and trust betweeen departments and their dedication to customer satisfaction has been so impressive, particularly in a situation where the customer is going to be at an informational disadvantage. I came in unannounced to have my tires checked out because my low tire light was on. They checked all four tires and they were all a little low and so they aired the all up. Still the light is on and so they tell me it is likely a problem with the sensor which I can probably fix at a later time since I cannot afford it at this time. I just purchased this car about 10 days ago from the Al Serra up North. So I am a little broke. I then went to the service center up north a few days later and they were able to fix the problem. I have had great service at both locations. More

My preference would be for the service rep to have the mechanic look at the car first and provide a list of everything that is needed and then help me prioritize it so I know what really has to be fixed and how soon it has to be fixed, rather than keep adding problems that show up as the work goes along... otherwise it keeps going from a $5 oil change to $3000+ total repairs, leaving me with the impression that my 2004 buick is basically a lemon, an infinite sinkhole for my wallet and a cash cow for the shop. Result: I want to trade it for a non-GM car. I would refer a friend to the service dealership because they do good work, but I would also recommend that the friend be prepared to get a second opinion before agreeing to repairs. More

That is above and beyond, which puts Al Serra at the top of the list and will bring me back always. It is important to me that when spending dollars that are few these days, that the business's be honest, trustworthy, and respectful. Thanks Al Serra, You are my number one dealer. This is the 5 car we have bought from this location, every time we have had great service they would listen to what we needed or wanted. We even went to Daniels and walked out they would not listen to u every time we have had great service they would listen to what we needed or wanted. I have only have my brand new 2013 car for 60 days and have already had it in the shop 6 times for multiple issues at a time, both mechanical and cosmetic. The dealer refuses to acknowledge the car has issues, I've had to take the vehicle for a second opinion for one issue just to prove it was a jenuin issue, it was still ignored and I had to pay to fix a warranty issue. Customer service is just as poor. More
My new vehicle needed to have the TPMS reset. The entire process took less than 15 minutes. During that time the service technician was able to leave enough cigarette smoke smell in my car to for the smell process took less than 15 minutes. The service department was prompt to have my car brought to the detail shop and have the inside of my NEW car covered with a sent that would remind you of an old rental car. They did offer to have the car detailed for free; however I find out latter that I would need to leave my car with a dealership that can’t get a TPMS reset complete without drama for 3 to 6 hours. I want to thank you Al Serra Chevrolet South for allowing my car to not have that new car smell anymore and replacing the new car smell with the smell of dirty cigarette smoke covered up by used rental car smell. The smell of disappointment is what I get to smell every time I get in my NEW car now. I few weeks later I went back to Al Serra Chevrolet South for my first service. When I got my car back the engine bay was covered in oil and the exhaust manifold was smoking so bad that I have to pullover before I left the parking lot. My car was also missing a valve stem cap. This is less than professional and I don’t understand how and why a car would be able to leave a service department with that much oil covering the engine bay. I called the owner to allow him the opportunity to remedy the situation and his reply was rude and unprofessional. This dealership and the service department are of poor quality and have lost all my trust and confidence. I don’t recommend anyone to use this facility and I strongly recommend using another service center to fix your vehicle. More
