I’ve never had to come back and leave a review but after my experience this weekend, I felt I didn’t have a choice. My wife and I found the car we wanted at Martin and started working with Steve. We received a quote for a fair price so we scheduled time to come in on Saturday morning. We came in and met with Steve who is a very professional sales rep. He talked with us about the whole process and was very friendly and helpful and I would definitely work with him again. Unfortunately, that’s where my positive review ends. After going over the details, I got a first look at pricing - and was shocked to see the price of the was almost $5000 higher than what I was quoted. I will agree that I should’ve read the fine print better but I believe those quotes could reflect actual pricing better when you walk in the door. It felt like a bait and switch. After asking about the variance in pricing, I had my first encounter with the sales manager, Joe. Over the course of the next 3 hours, I dealt with the most unprofessional sales manager I’ve ever dealt with. After negotiating with him, my wife and I still decided to buy the car. However, he continued to make unprofessional comments to me anytime he passed by. He even went as far as to tell me that “if we had paid more, the vehicle would be ready sooner” and “with the price you paid, you’ll be able to put your kids through college.” There were other examples as well but these stood out. After this experience, I will avoid coming back to Martin and will let other people know to stay away as well. More
