I'm sorry that the cost of the work you wanted done was more than expected. In April, you came in for an oil change and asked that we quote you for a grille piece and a wheel liner. That was the original $400 quote. When you came in for the service in July and the technician got your vehicle up on the hoist to replace those parts, it became apparent that more work was needed. Upon this discovery, the technician got a quote for the additional work, and your service advisor called you to let you know the situation. She explained that without replacing the additional parts, the parts you originally wanted to replace would not hold. She gave you the option to not fix anything, as the damage is cosmetic and does not affect anything mechanically on the car, or to replace all the parts needed, at an additional cost. You chose to continue with the repair, at the additional cost. Knowing that this was an unexpected expense for you, our service and parts managers both did everything they could to get the cost down as much as we possibly could for you. They gave you a discount on both parts and labor. The bumper cover was originally $407, you paid $279. The Grille piece was originally $91, you paid $68, the skid plate was originally $285, you paid $195. The wheel guard was originally $214, you paid $146. The only parts for that job that you paid full price for were the two clips that were $0.94 each. In total, that is a discount of $309. On top of the discounts in parts that you were given, we also applied a 50% discount on the labor cost for that job. I understand your frustrations at the unexpected expense of the repair, however our parts and service teams both went above and beyond for you at the discovery of the extra work needed to properly repair your vehicle.
