Service of Jeep Patriot I scheduled an appointment for my son to bring in his 2015 Jeep Patriot in early February to have his rear hatch looked at as it would not hold open. I scheduled an appointment for my son to bring in his 2015 Jeep Patriot in early February to have his rear hatch looked at as it would not hold open. His Patriot is still under warranty. His appointment was at 9:00 AM and met with the Service Advisor. The Service Advisor confirmed the issue and stated that this has been a problem with some of these hatches. He advised he would have the part ordered and call him once it arrived to have it replaced. No issues with this process, however 6 weeks later no call back on the part so I called on Saturday, March 18th 2017 to follow up for him. I spoke with a nice lady in the parts department, however after she checked numerous areas she could not find an order or anything on this visit. She transferred me to the service department, however that gentleman could not help me as he said I had to call back on Monday where someone else could look into this (frustrating to say the least!). I called on Monday (3/20) and spoke to someone in the service department. This was an extremely frustrating process as he was not helpful, told me he couldn't find anything on the visit and said if the parts department didn't have the order then doesn't know what to tell me. I explained to him that the service department generates the order, so they are the beginning point. He was totally frustrated with me at this point and since it wasn't in his computer system...he was done with the conversation. He didn't volunteer to ask around or pull files. I am in the service business too...I know how this works! He then said to call Reno Dodge because we may have gone there. I know this wasn't the case, but to get off the phone with this guy before I said something I would regret, I elected to do so. I asked him for their phone number, which he seemed very frustrated I asked but then finally looked it up for me. I called Reno Dodge and as expected they did not have us on record. However the gentlemen in their parts department was very helpful and concerned about the run around I received at Lithia. He helped schedule me an appointment (another one I might add due to Lithia) and then a very nice lady from the service department called to help me schedule a day and told me who my son's Service Advisor would be (Ben). He had his appointment on Friday, March 31st and they reconfirmed what Lithia originally stated was that the cylinder for the rear hatch had failed and needed replaced. Ben had the part ordered and it was replaced on Tuesday, April 4th. Works great and Reno Dodge did awesome! Lithia...terrible follow up and assistance. I understand if the original Service Advisor did not have the visit uploaded in the system, but my God...do a better job of follow up and at least entertain me that you are trying! I obviously had plenty of information to confirm that this visit did occur so I wasn't giving them the run around as a customer. More
