A great experience I was looking for a new Lexus (ES-350) and knew exactly what I wanted in terms of colors, options, etc. I put out several inquiries with dealers in t I was looking for a new Lexus (ES-350) and knew exactly what I wanted in terms of colors, options, etc. I put out several inquiries with dealers in the greater Northern Virginia area asking for a “drive it off the lot” price. I had a timely response from Abdul Tayyab, at Lexus of Alexandria. After a few basic questions to ensure he understood exactly what I wanted and several more telephone calls, Abdul advised that he had my exact car sitting on the lot and quoted me my bottom line cost. I was quite pleased since his was the best price. Long story short, I ran into several delays in trying to get to Alexandria to even see the vehicle, yet, each time I called, Abdul would respond, “no problem, it’s still here waiting for you.” (Full disclosure, I had placed a fully refundable deposit of $500 for them to hold this particular vehicle for me to view and make a decision). Since in all my years of owning cars, I had never purchased a vehicle over the telephone/internet, I confess to some hesitation and trepidation, yet there was something about Abdul that gave me a great deal of confidence and that I was dealing with a man whose word was his bond. And, when I finally did pick up my car about two weeks later, there were no surprises, no haggling and the car was exactly as promised. I have also done business with other salespeople at Lindsay Lexus and while I think they are all good, Sid is exceptional. One of the things I like about the staff at Lindsay is that it doesn't seem to have the turnover that many auto dealers do. Sid has been there for several years. In summary, the professional courtesy with which I was treated, the knowledge Sid had of the product line, the very reasonable "drive it away" price I got, and the great maintenance support I have had over the years have made all my experiences with Lindsay Lexus positive ones. RARELY ...does anything ever meet, much less EXCEED my expectations, but working with Mark and the rest of the folks at Lindsay has been great. While I certainly wish they were closer to Baltimore, I suppose traveling that distance is a testimony to the excellence of their dealership. Beyond the great experience I've had with the sales department, I need to add that I even make the trip for my regular service appointments.
